This is easily the best app on the android platform for learning to WRITE and MEMORIZE Chinese characters. Its like using a high quality felt-tip pen or graphics tablet. Its relaxing and yet you must also concentrate. It doesnt complete the strokes for you like some other apps. You can PRACTISE writing them out properly, as you would on a sheet of paper. I think thats a really good feature. You can write large characters in portrait mode, or small ones in landscape mode. Its great on a large tablet and also on a small phone screen. Well worth the price. A beautiful and well thought out piece of software. Such a good way to learn. I think the developers deserve more credit for this wonderful piece of language learning software. Hope this software gets more recognition because I want to use it for years. It has really helped me a lot. I'd recommend using a soft tipped stylus to get the most out of it. I would really love to see it updated with the HSK character packs. Its basically like wordtracer for ipad, but not quite as deep. hope to see it updated

Memorize Chinese characters and stroke order by tracing. See the tones and pinyin. See translation. Hear a recording of the pronunciation. This is by far the best character learning app on android. Its similar to word tracer on ios. It would be great if future updates included an explanation of each character individually in words that are longer than one character (for example, shou3 xin1 hand, heart = palm). It would be nice to have example sentences with the characters in context too. Also HSK character packs. There is a small bug, when you plug in headphones, the recordings come out from both the speakers and the headphones. This software is amazing! Well worth the price. Get it! Such a good way to learn. five stars.
