Edit: app no longer works. Is unable to find hue bridge. One of the best features (and major selling point) of hue is currently non-functional. Original 5 star review follows: Amazing cinematic experience. If you have powersaving set to turn WiFi off it will stop working, of course, when android settings set to hold the WiFi connection it works perfectly.

It's been 3 months already, I have been patiently waiting for an update but none so far. It just doesn't work with the new firmware. Waste of money on an Ambilight TV. Waste of money on Hue. Shame on you philips

C70%
by C####:

After firmware updates to both, app cannot connect to neither the bridge nor the TV. Dev's other app connects to the TV fine, and Philips' official Hue app finds the bridge so seems this app is just abandoned.

T70%
by T####:

The app is totally useless if you want to connect for a first time with a bridge that is running the newest firmware. The app cannot find the bridge. Please update the app to be able to find the bridge, then I will re-rate accordingly.

C70%
by C####:

Since last firmware update it doesn't work anymore, so the app is useless. It's the best function HUE had to me, but now it's uesless :(.

It's been over 2 months since the last update and you still have not fixed the problem with connecting to the bridge. It seems that the developers of this this application went to sleep!

C70%
by C####:

Seems to be a common known issue. The app can't find bridges with up-to-date firmware. Not that surprised given Philips track record. They abandon support for stuff way too quickly

C70%
by C####:

Bridge firmware update has resulted in app not finding bridge. Please provide a fix. It has been several weeks and still no solution - very poor and disappointing from Philips. Will think again before upgrading to a new Philips Ambilight TV in the future.

Cannot connect to new bridge firmware. Returning the philips hue due to this. Known issue at Philips and still no fix in a long time. And they still advertise the product with the function

Would it be possible to make a widget for switching on and off without needing to open the app? Lights do not switch off when exiting the app, so I need to switch them off from the Hue app/widget, which is quite inconvenient.

C70%
by C####:

The app has a button for feedback which i used. Later I got an email from Philips TV saying that the feedback had ended up in the TV department and that i should go to the Hue department instead. How the f... do you mess up a feedback button within the app itself. That along with the shortcomings I had in my feedback is why i only give the app 3 stars.

Good, though battery hog (27 % battery usage, ~3h 20m 55s CPU total) and often loses connection to the TV. Exemplary permissions (none!), no ads, totally secure.

Keeps crashing on both Nexus 7 and note2 with new Philips 55pfk7000 series

Drains the battery on the phone.

Fantastic! It really brings your living room to life! Well done to the creators of this app!

Sucks

X70%
by X####:

When watching movies, I have my hues set to a warm, dim white to resemble the atmosphere in a proper cinema. I wish that this app would let the non-colored light be a little more warm to create a nicer atmosphere when using ambilight. I only really want the hues to change color when there's an obviously strong color, otherwise I would prefer a user configurable warm white and not the cold white used now. Also I wish that the latency would be smaller since the hues are always at least half a second behind.

X70%
by X####:

This would take five stars if it could support also lan connection from android devices!! Please can you fix that? Should not be difficult :-)

It works flawless with my panel 9706, hue living colors starter pack and my nexus 5 (4.4.4)
