Strobily - strobe light for Android
With this app, I never have to worry about encountering Kurt Eichenwald. If he shows up, all I have to do is start the app and run the strobe and Kurt will be writhing on the ground and foaming at the mouth in seconds.
The frequency slider on the right is way too touchy. It is hard to actually set the frequency with it instead of using the fine-tune slider. Conceptually I like the two-mode slider but the execution needs refinement badly.
This is very useful app. I used it so many times and it always works quite well.
Doesn't work on nexus 6P
Glitches about once per second.
Works great even with screen locked.
The music part is awesome
Best options in a strobe app I've found. Variable rate worked great.
The screen will only strobe when the led is also set to on? (Samsung Galaxy S4).
Doesn't work on S5
Ok at low speeds but at 16Hz or above its intermittent
Easy to use. Fully adjustable
Doesn't work for turntable
The best existing application for my needs
One of the best strobe apps ive found if you want granular control of the frequency. Note to dev: for 5 stars please add ability to enter duration in seconds and/or abiliity to edit the number of flashes using keypad instead of +/- which is too cumbersome for entering programs that go for longer periods.
..on nexus 6P Nougat flashlight not obey frequency.
It made my running ceiling fan look as if it was at a standstill.
How to turn the darn thing on?
The only functional stroboscope tachometer on the play store that takes pretty accurate measurements
Amazing!
Nice and handy wee tool, if your stuck in the dark.or to pis other folk off.
To bad the nexus 5 can't use it properly, though it was awesome on my other phones.
I tried several other tacho strobo apps but this one takes the cake. Allowed me to tach scan fan resonance conducted to the mic through my Droid phone chassis and confirm the harmonic with the strobe.
Lots controls and parameters. Allows much more than 30 Hz.
I don't got money, that's why I download "free" apps. But this isn't free, just false advertising
Nerdtastic!
Unlike some apps that get updated this one delivers on performance and functionality from party to the lab or commuting this app gets it done flawlessly thank you thepenguin77(Brian)
It's a stroboscope so why does it need so much access?
Fully configurable, works to the full capacity of my device, and even send to compensate for processor lag. Great for engineers and even has a fun music mode for casual partiers. Only drawback is you only get limited use with the free version.
Allows the user to tweak just about every aspect of the strobe from the length between flashes and the duration of the flash and the frequency of flashes. I'm balancing a ceiling light and wanted a burst of light timed even with my fan's rpm. With colored pieces of tape on each blade I am able to see which blade is out of balance. It works for my purpose similar to an engine timing light.
According to this app. 10,000 hz is one flash per second. lower frequency's flash faster!Rubbish app. Tacho frequency maxes out at 70hz. Would still be useless even if it worked.
I saw I stroboscopic lamp in power plant using in turbo - generator for seeing movement of rotor wheel & inspection of rotating shafts at 3000 RPM!
There's nothing else like it out there. Everything else is just a toy.
Would be extremely useful as a beacon to flash for 25ms every second and a half to alert people to your position and save battery power.
It used to work on my note 2 but it seems not to work on new phones
Tested against real strobe and it failed
Battery hog and pile of crap.
The strobe rate is inconsistent, and the app is loaded with ads.
Dosent work

Great science demo for the kids. Measured their fidget spinner at 600rpm. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the app runs fairly smoothly up to 30Hz. And after reading the instructions, even 200Hz. The app tells me it can achieve pulse duration down to 2.3ms min. Very clever sliding controller up to 100Hz.. Great configurability for techie users
