My friend Freddy (UK English)

Looks nice, functions badly. Constant freezes and crashes. Since personalisation of the bear requires this app it means that's not possible. The bear's voice is so creepy that I'm just going to take the batteries out. Wouldn't recommend the bear mainly due to this app. Only positive I can say is that it was bought by someone else so at least I didn’t waste any money on it.

Awful, couldn't actually do anything with the bear as no way to enter details. Useless. I even took some advice & downloaded the other keyboard but there's no enter on there either. Has so much wonderful potential ..

The app obviously wasn't tested on my device. I can't even add my daughter's name because there is no way to confirm what I've written. The app then crashes every time you try to edit the child's information from the main menu. This app really shouldn't have been released like this but should be easy to fix with a patch but judging by the quality of the app they won't bother.

Bought Freddy for my 2 year son for his birthday. Really excited he had Freddy and I was excited to set him up and get Freddy working however, the app is awful. You are not able to input any personal details apart from age and date of birth! Anywhere you have to write to input details there is no enter/ok or confirm button so no details that you enter are saved!!!! Very annoying and frustrating! Total waste of money and wish I bought my son something different and not Freddy!!!!

Talk about delivering an app before proper testing has been completed. App crashes consistently and unable to use keyboard for input. Terrible just terrible. Present for Christmas and un-usable.

Freddy bear app used to work, slightly. Since downloading again due to my daughter rediscovering Freddy in the cupboard, app constantly crashes. A terrible terrible toy!

All functions need you to pair it with Bluetooth to the bear but when you press the Bluetooth setting the app crashes making it useless. Tried 2 different phones

Horrible. Got it to just try it out but the app doesn't work and lets be honest, that bear sounds creepy. Don't waste your time with this.

Android users, download SwiftKey and use that as your default keyboard. You'll then be able to enter the child's information. Otherwise it's impossible on most devices!

The idea might be good but the android app doesn't let you enter any data. Makes the bear useless

Absolutely rubbish i do not recommend this toy at all. App just keeps kicking me out when trying to input info teddy is cute but app is crap and the voice is extremely extremely freaky for a kids toy dont waste your time or money on this unless u just want the teddy

Asks what childs favorate snack is. Says example is cheese and crackers. Yet when you put the word crackers it says this word is not allowed. So we are not allowed to use the word crackers which you used in your example....... my child loves rosemerry crackers, but i can not put this as it is not allowed which has just put him in a foul mood with me. Thanks for that.

The app keeps crashing and every time i re install it a few minutes later it crashes then again I'm really disappointed i hoped it be better when i bought it surprisingly it was rubbish i won't recommend this app to anyone till it is updated an fixed please update it

Absolutly fuming, cosidering this bear was supposed to be one of the biggest toys this year why the hell isnt the app up to standard. Needs sorting out! One unhappy 4year old daughter! Can't even open the app anymore keeps saying it's stopped, the bear itself when it talks sound so freaky too much of a robots voice that could scare some kids. Wasted £20 on the bear for my daughters birthday

My first review was the same as all the other ones. I was unable to write any information, no matter which device I used to download the app. I downloaded a Google keyboard onto my Sony phone from the app store, changing to this keyboard I was able to enter all the information needed as there was now an OK button. I recommend that anyone having these issues tries this.

Make sure you pair to bluetooth first. Then it will recognise your child. Only when paired. Had it playing music from youtube and it can be even used to make phonecalls so its as if the person is speaking through the bear. Its very clever.

Can't input any data what so ever and the app won't stay open for more than 30 seconds kooks like Freddy the bear will be going back to the shop.

Useless app. Can't save any of my child's info and keeps showing error message saying the app has stopped unexpectedly. Wouldn't have bought the bear if I thought app wouldn't work....what's the point!

Some positives with the music player and a fairly shortlived novelty value, but the bear's voice is utterly, utterly creepy. Unnerving kind of creepy. Twinned with the recorded child's laughter it sounds like it's stealing souls. Terrifying. Just buy a teddy and talk to your child.

I bought this for my daughter at Christmas and on the app you cannot enter the details as there is no ok or next button. The only information you can enter is the ones where you select a number (eg. Age) anywhere that requires you to write text it doesn't work. Tried on a friends iPhone and it worked but my Sony and bfs Samsung it is literally impossible. I work in a phone shop too so I know what I'm doing. It's really winding me up.

frequently crashes and misses out words so just says your told me blue is your favourite colour instead of your mum told me your favourite colour is blue and doesn't always know what date it is wish they would fix it because you cannot play with the bear without the app

Downloaded the app and made sure my device say paired to the toy, but the app doesn't even open.. Tap it, black screen, back to home screen.. Useless. Bought as a 3rd birthday present for my son and from what I can make out its pretty much useless without the app . Not to mention the unnerving female robotic voice.. You couldn't have made it even slightly human? What a disappointment.

App is appalling as you can't enter the details. Please sort it out. Also, bears voice needs to change and some feedback from the company regarding all these bad reviews would be nice. I have even emailed them and they just ignored me. Bunch of money snatching wankers!

The app keeps crashing when I try and change details, also I have put my DAUGHTERS details in but doesn't do anything with them and yes it's paired, although wouldn't pair with my phone but has with tablet. This product really does need to be sorted out.....maybe trading standards would be interested with such bad reviews.

As others have said if you change to the Japanese keyboard you can Input the information. The voice is very non descript, not great for a children's toy and telling stories, does not really engage the child!! Real Shame as there is loads of potential there. A choice if voices would be great!

I've got the app working by installing a different keypad on my phone. But the app keeps crashing and turning my phone off!!

Like other people have stated, the app will not let me enter my child's details and keeps crashing. This needs fixing asap.

Bought this for christmas tomoro. Now when my son opens this in the morning he will be so disappointed. WHY AREN'T YOU FIXING THIS. Complete rip off !!!!!!!!

Downloaded this app before wrapping this bear for my son for Christmas, and now I find I cant insert his details or connect it through bluetooth. An absolute joke. Definitely misleading advertising.

A woman's robot voice on a boy bear!! Talk about confusing children! Really could have been a great companion if the time and effort hadve been put into creating the bear!

My kids adore him! Initially I was confused as to how to get the 'interactive' part to work&after reading reviews regarding the app I was dubious as to how good he would be.We downloaded the app and paired him to various devices via Bluetooth. Entering in the information was simple and just filled in the answers to each question and then hit the back arrow at the top of the screen (the info is remembered) pressed the 'talk' button on app&off he went.Has to be connected to Bluetooth for personal info part.

So disappointed by this product and I can't believe it's still being sold despite numerous complaints that the product doesn't work. You can't type in your child's details as no next or enter button and now it crashes everytime you open it. Sounded amazing and I couldn't wait to play with it. I was given two for my twins so even more gutted that a friend has spent money on what she (and I) thought was an amazing gift for it not to work and me having to ask for a receipt.

Very disappointed with this bear as the app keeps crashing! You need to fix this big problem asap! Going by other comments you aren't bothered about fixing this problem or it would of been fixed by now!!!!!

I've bought this for Xmas for my Lil girl and I can't even put the information on because of no okay/enter button it's ridiculous bluddy get it sorted will have to take it further if no updates what a joke

Whoever designed this app should be fired. It seems like an awfully simple thing to miss. Total waste of money. Pairing the bear to a device does nothing to help.

Any time you open the app it just kicks you out back to your home screen got this for my son's 2nd birthday and can't use it why sell it if you are not going updat the app and fix the bugs just another way of ripping people off if you ask me. Not happy with this product at all gave 1 star because you can't give 0.
