Appen fungerer kun, når My friend Cayla-dukken er tilsluttet via Bluetooth. Hvis dukken ikke er i nærheden, fungerer appen ikke.

- Cayla kan fortælle dig historier.
- Cayla kan løse matematiske opgaver og stave ord.
- Kig i Caylas fotoalbum, og hun vil fortælle dig om, hvad hun har oplevet.
- Du kan også spille spil med Cayla.
- Cayla virker både, når hun er online og når hun er offline. Når hun er online, virker alle funktioner. Når hun er offline, kan Cayla tale og interagere, men stemmegenkendelse er ikke tilgængelig.
