My friend Princess Cayla App

Very disappointed. This is essentially a Bluetooth speaker in a doll shaped casing. Somehow, it fails miserably. The app just crashes. One cannot update it or change any settings without the app stopping. Requiring the termination of all other active apps is a very poor process. Sort it out please.

The doll does not work! End of story. Period. Doesn't respond to anything and just talks regardless of whats been asked. Daughter really dissapointed its expensive rubbish. Take it back and get your money its not worth 1/4 of what its being sold for.

Loads up fine yet as soon as you click on a game or story it closes the app

This would be great if it actually worked. My daughter just unwrapped her Princess Cayla and was so happy with her. So major disappointment that the app doesn't work properly. Settings button closes the app.

Twice I have tried to return this back to the entertainer where I purchased it and they will not give me back my money saying the app is a third party and there's nothing they can do! I will be taking my issue to trading standards this problem with the app has been going on since November! Vivid is the company that are responsible for the app i was told it would be fixed within a week and it still hasnt they are not doing anything, absolutely appalling!

Wish I'd read these reviews before buying the doll as seems like I'm not the only 1 having issues. £60 is not cheap for a doll that does nothing! Seriously considering sending it back if u don't hurry up & sort it. Would be nice if u could actually bother getting back to people & letting us know what's going on

Daughter really wanted this doll very disappointed ,took me hours to get the doll working now that I have you can hardly hear her and doesn't answer a lot of questions I've learnt to read reviews on things I purchase in future waste of money and time load of rubbish!!!!!!

What a disappointing present! I am not technical but this is a joke! Can't access settings menu at all so toy simply a very expensive doll until app is fixed so it can then work as advertised........…...…..! I have tried this on THREE devices of the latest Android versions and the app DOES NOT WORK. IT IS TOILET. DO NOT BUY THE DOLL. DO NOT WASTE HOURS TRYING TO GET THE THING TO WORK. IT IS UTTER CRAP DESPITE BEING A GREAT IDEA.

Please update the app so that the settings menu works so I can personalise. At the moment it crashes when I hit the setting button and it's pretty crap....feel like I've wasted my money on the doll. Will never buy another toy by this maker....disgusting customer service too.

Cannot get the doll to recognise anything when talking to it. Tried 3 android devices of varying types (and versions), although it pairs okay with no problems, and does indeed become a 'Bluetooth speaker'. The app crashes on all devices when you click on the settings button. I hope there is going to be some updates for this, soon, as otherwise the toy becomes a very expensive 'useless' doll. In it's current state, I can't and wouldn't recommend it to anybody. Sideloaded the app on 2 kindle fires and it behaved worse on the 1st gen Fire (wouldn't light the light), but behaved exactly the same on a 5th gen one (the £49 one) as it did on my Samsung galaxy phone(s) and tablet.

What is going on with this app, I can't access the settings so the doll will only work off line, huge disappointment for my daughter,

You were informed of an issue with this app on 8th December. Does it really take that long to fix? EU law forbids misleading/false advertising. The doll does not recognise anything that is being said. And to be honest the she "knows everything" is a joke. I asked "what is 2+2?" And she informed me she "went swimming with my mother" I'm not good at maths but even I know the answer is 4. Very poor customer service.

Princess cayla,Very poor,excited little girl at Christmas but doll is such a let down,you ask it questions like what's your favourite colour and it goes off talking about swimming! 70% of the time it never reconizes what you are saying and for the app is a waste of time go in to settings and it shuts down every time,the advert is so misleading. Selling a doll too little girls, which doesn't work properly, you people should be ashamed of your selves.

Great idea but the doll and app is becoming a great frustration and disappointment to myself and child. The doll itself was not cheap first and foremost! The only thing it is doing is working as a speaker, I can literally hear typing sounds coming from the doll as I type this message. Its paired but whenever you hit the play button the charm does not light up or recognize voices. If you press play games or story time it says set up Bluetooth connection/ Bluetooth however says its paired. My daughter can hear the sounds of other games coming from Cayla as she plays on her tablet....this is ridiculous, a little creepy and can someone please fix it

I'm massively disappointed with everything bar the way the doll looks. The doll rarely recognises and voice commands and the app that is designed to run along side the doll constantly crashes on all devices. Avoid like the plague.

Cannot believe that we paid over £60 for a doll & the app is so bad we are unable to do anything as the app keeps crashing!. Absolutely awful. .. Thanks very Much for spoiling an expensive Christmas gift to a now very disappointed little girl. Absolutely Shocking.

this is the worst toy ive ever bought.my daughter was so excited to play with this.what a let down.i will never buy your gabage rip off products again.she doesnt respond or acknowledge my daughter talking.when we open the app it says connect with blutooth which we are all the noises are coming from her but wont let me click on anything because it says we need to connect

Great doll and great idea,but very unhappy with app, When you click to download app, it directs you to my friend Cayla app which when downloaded doesn't work with princess Cayla doll, so you have to scroll down to find appropriate app. when yo have downloaded the right app and go to settings you are unable to access settings to customize doll, so app pretty much useless.

I connected the doll to my phone but the app does not work as every time you click on settings it closes the app. My daughter happy wirh her as a doll but i'm not happy that she does work properly.

When i press the settings button the app stops working and shuts itself down really not happy with this.

So I'm trying to set the doll up in time for Christmas, 4 days away, but the app keeps shutting down as I try to edit the settings.

The app crashes every time we try to open settings so we can't get on the Internet. I contacted the manufacturer however they were very unhelpful and told me they are unaware of any problems with the app. Don't buy this doll!

Settings button not working. Doesn't recognise questions. Thought it was broken till I read these reviews. Please fix. This was disappointing to happen at Christmas. Everything else like games was fine. Would be great product if fully working.

Tried on multiple different phones and I pads, and it all has different issues, the only thing you can do with it is games and stories. Does not connect online to answer questions. Contacted the help desk, who were also no help.

This product is a con, please take it back to where you purchased it from & get a full refund immediately. An absolute piece of expensive trash !

The app keeps crashing. You'd think they would have fixed it by now. It's not good enough as the doll is useless without the app.

What a waste

Will the app be fixed at any point?? My dayghter has been saving uo for this doll for ages and now it keeps crashing. Wont recognise what we ask and we cant personalise.

Absolute naff take it back for a refund
