Toymail: Family voice chat

I really like the toys themselves and the concept. I set up four of them on Christmas day and it was somewhat frustrating. The app was slow to update. The process was easy but the fourth toy I set up I had to pair three times and it took a lot longer to assign the toy to its profile. I am doing the free trial of the cloud and I like some of the features and am excited to see how they will expand. I have four children with Talkies and would like to see the ability to have different schedules put on each one. For instance one of my children still takes an afternoon nap so a nap feature would be wonderful! And I would love the scheduling feature to be more customizable for each Talkie. I look forward to seeing what features are added over the next year!

My daughter loves her Talkie. It was bumpy getting it setup, but the customer service email was very quick to respond and help resolve the issue. Now that it's up and working she's been chatting back and forth all day!! Looking forward to see what more the Toymail cloud has to offer!

We are loving these, best thing ever for these kids to stay Kids workout cell phones. The only fault is they need to change it to use charger and send new devices to purchasers so we can eliminate all the batteries. I would like to know how to add their father as a guardian also so he isn't dad to his niece And nephews as well.

Most of the reviews on here are simply because they didn't read the incredibly simplistic how to get started booklet or they aren't able to read. This is an incredibly cool toy, was super easy to set up. My 6 year old is in love with this!

Awesome toy. I work alot and my son loves to talk on the phone. This is so much easier and fun for him. Bought one for my niece also. Not the easiest little things to set up(correctly) but still awesome toy.

I've wasted over two hours trying to get this toy work and and it can't do something as simple as connect to my network. I do everything it tells me to and it won't connect. Stuff like this should not be able to be sold until it is proven to work 100 percent of the time.

So far I'm sadly not impressed. I ordered this mid November for Xmas and it just arrived today. Set up was actually fairly easy compared to the reviews I just read, however I couldn't record a message the first few times without closing and reopening the app. My 3.5 year old finds the concept a little challenging still which is fine, I'm sure she will figure it out. My biggest disappointment is that it takes over 5 minutes for her talkie to receive my messages. When a toddler is waiting for a response, 5 minutes is an eternity !

While the set- up process itself was simple, it took many many tries before the talkie finally chimed and connected. Maybe it was my internet connection? Anyway, we're a military family living overseas so my 3yo loves using it to talk with her grandparents, aunts, and uncle. She's able to check messages on her own, but might have to play with it a while before she's able to send messages by herself (though she does it a lot by accident).

I think it's a great idea but definitely needs some advancements. Needs a power off option so the batteries don't run out. At times the talkie is doing something and no one has touched it for hours and no messages are in the process of coming in. Setup isn't as easy as it says...at least for the four I've been working with. ..seems to be glitches. It takes a lot of patience to get these working the way they should. Resetting the talkie isn't clearly stated anywhere. I had to email the company to find out that a reset could be done. I'm sure I have more feedback but I'll stop there for now.

Got this to stay in touch with my adopted half sister (8-years-old) She loves it! Her exact words after using it for a couple of hours..."This has been funner than I ever imagined." Thank you for creating a toy that brings family together!

Returning to store today. This company should not be beta testing on children. How can you possibly do this to children on Christmas Day. Tried for hours.... Addendum....really.... you insult me even more with the generic response ...please contact us....how about a support phone number that actually works

I love the parental controls and the security. Grandparents live far away and this let's them talk daily whenever my child wants.

This is a great way to communicate with my child! Easy to set up and get started. Doesn't always notify me when I have a message. 4 stars

we got these toys because we have a blended family, so the kids would always have a way to talk to each other and their respective parents. there is, however, no way for their other parents to add s wifi network, therefore they can't actually use the toys for what they're for.

THIS APP IS AMAZING YOU SHOULD GET IT IT'S AN OK LAUNCHER SO FAR I HAVE NOT DISCOVERD ANY APPS IT'S VERY FUN AND EASY TO SEND VOICE MAILS PLEASE GET THIS APP

It's not bad but the add ons should be a one time buy

The idea of the toy is awesome! However the app is difficult to get into. I signed up using my gmail and it said I already had an account (which was not the fact). I tried to contact support however it is email only and a big turn off when trying to troubleshoot something. I tried to find a contact number and it wasn't until after I had solved my issue through trial and error that I found a contact number. Still unsure how to add friends or get the two talkies I got to communicate.

This App is clunky. Hard to follow. And worst of all sends you worthless push notifications you can't easily turn off. I can turn off all notifications but I want to know when my kid sends me a message. Terrible app.

App is complete garbage - sitting here Christmas morning trying to pair it, no luck. App crashes, crashes, then crashes. Maybe the clever 'flashing lights to pair' process should have simply been a password.

I did not experience any of the issues others are complaining of... install and set up was pretty straight forward, quick and easy. Love it.

Changed my rating from 1 to 5 stars. Fantastic customer service, even on Christmas day! Works great. My kids love this thing!

Cannot pair the talking with my phone. Very frustrating for my five year old. She wants to play now

complete garbage, cant even sync with wifi. Christmas day and having ZERO luck pairing it.. so it shall be one expensive a** stuffed animal until we figure out how to get it to work without the app crashing.

I spent a solid 35 minutes of sending emails, password set ups, password requests, in and out of apps in and out of web pages to try and get signed in to this app and it's related web pages so that my nieces could send me messages I eventually gave up and will now be uninstalling this app as I think it would be easier to contact them and send them messages via Hangouts I'm so glad that my brother didn't buy one of these for my kids

i think this piece of junk .. i have other words in my mind but ill let it slide since is Christmas great gift for kid leaves them all in tears.....

This is such a cute idea for kids to be a part of a social media without all the complicated updates The toy is a good way for communication skills to advance and both child and parent can interact together I LOVE IT I want one for myself and I'm pushing 30 LOL I recommend this for all ages even ya Grandma????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Worst instructions ever..dosnt say nothing about how to connect this toy to WiFi..thought it would atleast have easy step by step instructions

Setup never worked, every time said "sorry something went wrong please try again". Followed instructions to the T

took forever to pair ...dont like the fact you habe to pay for all the extra fun stuff...dumb could be better
