London Travel Free - Bus & Tube for Android
After the recent update the app has become really good
Works well letting you know arrival times for busses & trams.
Where has the tube map gone?
like the update but it no longer covers waltham cross bus station which it previously did
Working much better now after all the updates. Great app, looking forward to see what's in store.
Invaluable.....yep, still is. I'm loving the update, this is very useful with all the functions. Keep up the good work.
Why the change TFL? It was perfect before ! Damage is done now what a shame !
Was great app, you've just completely screwed it up. If it ain't broke don't fix it!!!!!!
Lost favourites as part of overdue update but still a great app.
Brilliant update... lost all of my favourites. Thanks for that!!!
The new update deleted my favourites. When I go in to type a search, it crashes. Some update.
It's a Really good app would be lost without it!!! But what happened to the tube map???
Beautiful
Nice to see it working again and journey planner works quite well, but no more easy tube map and added adverts.
This shows you the nearest bus stops to your current location on a map, what buses go to these stops and how long til they arrive. Very useful. The journey planner can show different methods of transport (bus, tube, train and walking), but doesn't show all routes. The tube map is old and there have been changes to it which aren't reflected in the app. Useful but needs a bit more work. There might be more up to date and accurate apps available.
I liked & used this App everyday to get around. Especially liked the Blue Bike info in the map. Now it is not working or connecting on either of my devices. Tried reinstalling but still not working. TFL has redesigned their journey planner maybe that had something to do with it. Please fix. Thanks. Updated Sept 2014 emailed developer no reply. All that works is bus arrivals all other functionality gone. They appear to have cast adrift the free app & I'm not buying an app if it's unsupported. Such a shame.
Brilliant, intuitive and informative app. However a couple of issues: whenever you select a London Overground station it stays stuck on 'updating arrival info', and also freezes it for all other stops, cycle docks and stations. Have to force close and restart. Either remove Overground stations or make it work. Also, please put Mudchute DLR station in, the only station that's missing!
This app is easy to use with good clean images and design. It incorporates all the TFL options you need to get around, like journey planner, service status and tube map. I like that your favourite stops are highlighted on the Google map. My only gripe is that only tube stations are on the map or the stations list. One can't get everywhere by bus or tube.
For multiple journeys it doesn't even give me the fastest route. Also it's far from intuitive to plan a journey. I mean why does the automatic station finder come up only when I select a stop/station? You need to look at embark for a well designed travel app
Can't fault it. I even upgraded and can now chose too see the times of specific buses which helpful when 9 different buses use the same stop. Saves confusion. Use it everyday without a single issue. Helps me plan journeys as you can see what time a bus is due to arrive and how long you have. Nice count down too.
Only used the free one. It did improve initially but seems dev has been put on hold. Google maps (previous to their terrible latest version) still does this better, but the additional info and notices is a good bonus :) Easy to use and worth having
Awesome really - brings up a map near where you are and you can select the stop you want to use and it tells you when all the next buses are due. It did "lose" a bus once that subsequently arrived, but that's probably a problem with the days supplied rather than the app.
I have to pick up a connection its great to see if my other bus has come early or rimminf late. Would have given a five if it worked all the time. I keep getting error up dating just at the wromg time. Happening more
When this app works it is truly a lifesaver. It has helped me to be so much more efficient time wise. No more blind waiting for the bus. I've become very dependent on it so when it stops working it completely throws my day. I don't know what I'd do without this app.
I used to have a similar app to this on my iphone but had to pay for it. This is by far much better and totally free! It's saved me waiting in the cold so many times. I can find nothing negative about it. The most useful app here.
A very handy application for all those stops without live information. In a couple of clicks you have access to the information needed, faster than the tfl website itself. Plus : favourite bus stops and locator on map. Minus : the one misleading ad. I don't mind the ads for a free app but the '1 new message' is misleading for inexperienced users
But it's a Very good app! Help tab doesn't cover the every feature it has, more u try, more u get. Unfortunately bus routes display stopped working since Tfl changed their site . Pls correct it. ..,,
Overall good but prone to crashing, also the bus route information never loads. Apart from this a few graphical glitches from time to time (one example is the bus stops moving to the wrong place when zooming and moving around sometimes). Still a worthwhile app to have though.
Good app, very useful but would be better if it incorporated the local tram network as well. Also a little glitchy, sometimes you touch the bus stop icon and nothing happens, have to press 4 or 5 times before something happens.
Easily the best app for london bus routes, the buses arrivals are always right, it has a proper journey planner, tube map and much more! However it does crash sometimes that is why it has only got 4 stars.
Great app, i use it every day. I have seen citymapper for the iphone and had struggled to find something similar for android, this app comes really close and its free. I bet the full app with the cameras is worth every penny, will purchase it soon
Gets its info from tfl so always as accurate as any other app or website could be. Brilliant for checking bus times and planning your journey. Only thing would be that visually it isnt the most appealing.. but who reeaally cares about that?
On my Samsung s4 this was great, five stars, did everything it said on the tin - GPS, bus data accurate. But since I switched to the HTC it keeps crashing, so I've switched to another app.
I don't need to wait in the cold for the bus, all I do is check the arrival time of the bus stop around me and be there before the estimated time. Even at bus stops that provides no information on estimated time of arrival. Its still a working progress, but a great app as it is.
For the past week the search function has not worked properly. After choosing the bus route from the results all I get is an error message. If this was fixed I would give this app 5 stars.
This is by far the best transport app for London and essential for anyone who lives here. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that there is one niggle: when you click on a bus route, it doesn't tell you where that bus is now. This would be useful for working out which stop to run to and when to get off your bus with steamed up windows! Other (less good) rivals do this, so please add this function for a perfect app!
This app is incredibly efficient and easy to use and would be a 5* app for sure if it actually gave the correct information. Buses seem to travel backwards through time or just turn invisible and pass through my stops apparently.
A great app for anyone the uses public transport. However crashes far too often, sometimes has issues loading data and recently, for me anyway, has been showing unable to connect with tfl error messages every time I try and us it, so its been useless for over a month now.
Nokia app is much better. When you look at nearby stops and routes it would be better if it showed times straightaway instead of asking whether you want to see arrivals. It's too time consuming to use and only shows one route at a time. Not bad but not great either. Black background is also not as good as white. Nokia app is much better. London only, but works well... sometimes does silly things like when I enter Hackney Wick it puts a red exclamation mark next to the name with no explanation of what the problem is.
