Toshiba Wireless HDD

Whenever I try to copy files which is in my Android to HDD over wifi. It doesn't shows the copy dialog box and the copy is being error. This problem is generated every time I start the process. Please do something. (And please add the feature in music player to Support .FLAC .CUE etc lossless format.)

The conectivity drops out too often disallowing the use of the wireless HDD (on Oneplus device). Other issue is there is a modify password button however when changing this it drops the connection and essentially disables the device unless hard reset. Come on toshiba I know ypu can do better than this!!

I was looking for a solution to backup all my videos and photos without a computer during my trip in Asia. Now i'm in Asia and this is simply useless!!! Nothing works!! Doesn't recognize my sd card, doesn't copy files from my phone, doesn't bridge wifi. And not to mention the awful UI design. Whats wrong Toshiba??

It does what is does ok but I would rate this highly if I could back up raw picture files from my Nikon, which was what I was hoping when I purchased it. As I can't it's pretty much been a waste of money for me. Lesson learned! Update - have finally got it working as I wished so have increased to 4 star. Would be helpful though if it supported raw file viewing.

Please upgrade the user interface its really bad, i am not expecting this kind of interface coming from sony. It does not even have SELECT ALL FUNCTION for FASTER UPLOADING AND DOWNLOADING OF FILES. PLEASE PLEASE I love your product but this time I am soo unsatisfied. Please do something.

NO UPDATE SINCE 2015? A company as big as Toshiba should fix this app and update it to work with all versions of Android at least the last few versions? What gives? No instructions and an unacceptable app. Please fix! Toshiba sells these portable hard drives still but they haven't updated this app & many new versions of Android have been released since this app was last updated in 2015?

The dashboard is useless its randomised all my files I suspect this is going to get tossed in a draw & forgotten about, unable to transfer file to there appropriate folders & whats with the circle with 3 dots in it that you can move around the page but doesn't do anything. Useless. Used with Samsung tab a ( android 5.0.2 )

This app has worst interface, using it for some time is like time travel to the past decade single selection,clumsy UI, no structure in placing buttons, Seriously ?? No multiple selection when you are working with photos and 1tb data, I wonder what on what platform it might have designed to make it that horrible.

Cannot connect through the app even though I've already connected to the SSD wifi and can access 10.10.10.254 through the browser. Doesn't work.

There is a problem in transferring files from my phone and HDD. FIX THE PROBLEM IN THE Coming update

Downloaded the app to Oneplus One phone, Lenovo tablet, Samsung Galaxy camera and a Samsung 10" tablet bought in 2010. The drive works perfectly on all these devices using the app.

Good companion for the Toshiba Aerocast Wireless HDD, is a shame that does not have support to playback FLAC Music files types.

Whenever I try to backup my Android to HDD over wifi. It doesn't shows that copy from the sd card of the Phone it will back up only the phone memory .

Although the wlan is connected to the Harddrive, all the app does is asking to check the connectivity an direct you to the wlan settings.

File modified date is not retained when backing from mobile

No mechanism to setup and access my Toshiba HDD Canvio over wifi- which would seem to be what this app should do....the broken english in product description shouldve clued me in....

This app is incompatible with Android N. You get the error hard drive is not working. So you can't do anything. And on top of that the email they've put for their Google Play account doesn't exist! Great stuff Toshiba !

The app opens and I pair my device to the harddrive but doesn't allow me to access anything from the harddrive. It just tells me to confirm I have access. I was looking forward to using this so much!!! Bummer!

Just bought an aerocast, I can't say if it works yet as the app does not function past the home screen. I have several Android devices and this app throws up the same issue time and again on all of them. I can't believe that an international company as large as Toshiba have either created this or commissioned it. Whatever you click, be it a photo, video, doc or even the settings menu, you are looped back to an aerocast logo and back to the home screen. Please correct this serious issue. I'll be returning the aerocast should it not be put right. If there was a zero star option, I would rate it Zero as it doesn't work. And yes I have updated the firmware as requested immediately upon opening otherwise you can go no further.

Wow. I charged the SSD up, got out the instructions, downloaded this app, and went to work. Tried to go to work. My phone -- a Galaxy S7 running Marshmallow -- found the device and connected to it. Then I started this app and... nothing. It kept telling me that I had to connect to the SSD via WiFi settings, even though I was already connected. Tried Settings, and... nada. The setting for the SSD was grayed out and unavailable. I closed the app and reopened it several times, and got the same result every time. One star is a bit generous for an app that flat out doesn't work, but it's the least I can give it. I tried the other listed app -- Wireless SSD for Toshiba, by Power7 Technology -- and it worked the first time I tried it. Save yourself the trouble and don't download this worthless app. Go get the other one!

Some mkv video files fail to play sound. App restarts. Would like just to access the data on the drive without the app.

No support mx player. No option mark all.no option create folder. No option view data transfer rate plz fix all options

Works fine on all my android devices. It was a little fiddly to setup but no problem once done.

Did not install, in fact none of the Toshiba apps installed on my device.

To conncect the storage device with your ir mobile it requires a password where do i find it.?????

This works on Marshmallow for video, but won't play music to a Chromecast /Audio/. I appreciate the audio-only Chromecast Audio is brand new but will support be added? Thanks, Tom

This app is just useless. So un-intuitive. So, the way forward is to use a file manager app such as ES File Explorer and then you can connect to the Aerocast quite happily. You can drag and drop files from anywhere, to anywhere. Just connect to the box from your device vie wi-fi and, in ES Explorer, go to Network and there it is. The only thing I haven't managed to do so far is change the password but I figure there must be a way somehow.

Fiddly,horrible interface,tossed into a box somewhere gathering dust.

Toshiba HDD wireless it's so hard to turn it on and turned it off I don't know why

New version works well on Nexus 6. Not so much on Nexus 7

Im using xperia d6633. First, The UI does not look professional considering the product from TOSHIBA. second, there are some bugs that when you stream a video, after every 15 mins or so, the application crashes. Third, Limited support. It doesn't allow you to use your own video app to play the videos being streamed. I hope in the near future, there would be updates to this app. otherwise the wifi feature would be useless to new devices. So for this, I give it a hooping 2 stars for the effort of the programmer who made it. :) And sadly, Doesn't work yet with Lollipop.

It doesn't work on my HTC m8 can upload but not see any files

I updated to lollipop 5.0 version of Android, unfortunately the app does not support. This makes my HDD useless for the intended purpose that I bought it for. I am also surprised that Toshiba's Wireless SSD app supports 5.0. The last update to this app was SEPT 2014 I hope the developers of this app review the app reviews frequently and upload a new version of HDD app that is compatible with 5.0

Doesn't support android 5. Useless. Disappointed with toshiba. Will be returning the device
