What are users saying about Remote VNC w/Ad

I bought Remote RDP because it works perfect. And I decided to use VNC with wmvare workstation. I expected the same experience. But i cannot test anything: - right mouse click doesn't work - numpad doesn't work - app stopped after 5-10sec of work

by K####:

Displays well but input is difficult.

Runninng 1.8.4 on a Xoom. Was able to get it to run about 3 times for a Mac OSX Snow Leopard. Then I started getting a message "Can't create handler inside thread that has not called Looper.prepare()". On top of that, I get force closes every now and again. Very frustrating, as it did a superb job of displaying multiple screens on my Mac, made it very easy to go thru all of them.

Q70%
by Q####:

This app worked very well on my droid... But not on my nexus 7. Same create handler error as others had.

G70%
by G####:

FC'd on my captivate 2.3 at first, but maybe because I had spaces after host/port. Really flexible, powerful, intuitive. The best free vnc app imo

F70%
by F####:

Don't leave margin around screen blank tho, you might start getting error messages next time you try to log in

O70%
by O####:

Works great on my Droid X, with a lot of features other vnc apps lack, but doesn't work on my Transformer Prime. Hopefully it will work on ICS...

I70%
by I####:

I get a brief error message flashed up on the screen when connecting (the Looper.prepare error looks closest), then just a blank screen.

U70%
by U####:

@Tyler not if you forward the appropriate port.

A70%
by A####:

Works great. Only problem is the placement of the adds. But works brilliantly! Better than my desktop at times...

U70%
by U####:

Ads block top of screen, can't close maximized apps on remote.

U70%
by U####:

Only works on local wifi. Not over 3g or a different wifi connection

V70%
by V####:

cannot see mouse cursor in the latest version nexus 1. :(

R70%
by R####:

Error on my droid x "Transport endpoint is not connected". Left message on help forum but no one replies.

U70%
by U####:

Mouse control doesn't work screen scrolling is really messed up.

N70%
by N####:

Doesn't even have a menu option on LG3 so unable to setup. Same on galaxy s5 and galaxy tab s. Serious need of updating.

T70%
by T####:

I've been using this app every Sunday to control my net book. All of a sudden it has started force closing on me.

C70%
by C####:

It's great. Would be more useful if it could do NTLM authentication to use with the ActiveDir Manager App. Plain passwords aren't secure enough for my VNC. Otherwise Excellent.

N70%
by N####:

Why isn't this fixed to work with ICS and up?

N70%
by N####:

Won't connect, force-closes every time. Since androidVNC and pocketcloud have no problem connecting, it's the application that's broken, not my setup. (Remote is qemu on RHEL6 box.)

N70%
by N####:

Works perfectly w/Tight VNC running on Windows 7. Moto Droid.

E70%
by E####:

It said "unresolved host". Maybe, I could get it working, if I messed with it long enough. I used AndroidVNC instead.

N70%
by N####:

Any plans on making this work on ICS? Loved this app on my Thunderbolt, but just upgraded to the Galaxy Nexus and it isn't working.

Z70%
by Z####:

Wasn't able to get connected to any hosts

N70%
by N####:

Comes up with an error every time I open and won't connect (windows vista), but if I close it and reopen it works fine. Track pad mode works great but the ad covers part of the screen so I have to guess where to click.

A70%
by A####:

Worked like a charm in a htc desire with a macbook pro. Great app.

H70%
by H####:

Doesn't work with osx lion or leopard

N70%
by N####:

Used to work great. I have upgraded to ICS and this does not work anymore. make it happen! Will give 5 stars when you add support for ICS, until then i have to find something else that works.

Cisco router, mac osx 10, motorola xoom, works perfect!!!

N70%
by N####:

Having the ability to extend beyond the boarders of the screen allows for easier mouse access. Top rated app for sure. No conflicts galaxy s

N70%
by N####:

Best android VNC app that I've found, fastest and best interface.

N70%
by N####:

More features than Android vnc. Much quicker to connect, vastly better controls and a boatload of options. Ads are there but are unobtrusive.

N70%
by N####:

Works great droid x. Tight vnc for server

N70%
by N####:

Works great on my samsung moment running 2.1 unrooted

J70%
by J####:

I also get crashes about color and whatnot issues. Haven't since I set it to 8-bit color though. Its a phone limitation from what I can tell.

B70%
by B####:

hello, could you please add honeycomb support? This just works fine on my milestone2 but not on xoom...

E70%
by E####:

Worked with connect bot, using ssh connection to our corporate resources. wyse and android vnc was not working. Thanks.

X70%
by X####:

Keyboard input is not case sensitive. Nice for controlling a GUI, useless for a terminal.

Any way you can connect to a LAN hostname? Like JOHN-PC.
