About Toopher

Toopher is the strongest, fastest, and easiest way to protect yourself from online fraud. Easily pair your phone with a Toopher-enabled service, and receive a push notification showing you the details of your request when you log in. Better still, Toopher is the only solution that lets you automate that second step from safe locations like your home or office, so now you're only bothered when a login is out of the ordinary -- like when you're in a new location or being hacked. Now, nobody can log in to your accounts without going through you first, even if they have your username and password. It's strong, fast, invisible security.

Give Toopher a try with LastPass and Mailchimp, or visit http://toopher.com for a full list of supported sites. We also support "old school" two-step authentication on Facebook, Google, Outlook, Dropbox, Evernote, or anything marked "Software Implementation" at http://twofactorauth.org.

What are users saying about Toopher

by N####:

This is a great app but it has one of the worst designed toggle switches I've encountered. It's never been fixed and apparently never will. Replace the toggle with a checkbox. This is basic software design not rocket science.

H70%
by H####:

Consistently unreliable, I verify logins from my device yet sometimes I have to re enter my password 3-4 times in order for it to work. Looking for an alternative.

T70%
by T####:

Add FINGERPRINT SENSOR. Add backup, sync, Chrome extension, Firefox addon, Win10 app (WinStore) - all syncing together. PLEASE find the way to make push notifications available for all sites and not just those with deep integration into your service

GCM Bug fixed, now I love Toopher again. Thank you!

O70%

Making the switch from Authy, would like to see a backup feature.

I don't get why all the bad reviews. Toopher has never given me any issues. I use it with Lastpass and quite a few other accounts. It works flawlessly. I also don't get why people have had issues transferring to another device. I've already done it once and didn't run into any problems.

F70%
by F####:

Loved this app, but it doesn't seem to work on Galaxy S6 running Marshmallow. As others have reported, stuck at registering for GCM notifications forever. Very sad day for me.

Q70%
by Q####:

Pretty terrible app. It usually takes about an hour of trying for my device to authenticate me. And don't even think about getting a new device...

T70%
by T####:

What a nightmare. This piece of junk sits at "registering GCM notifications" for hours and will never proceed. It's locked me out of my password manager and caused a headache.

Q70%
by Q####:

i changed my phone, and my old device is holding my info and i cannot deactivate it.

J70%
by J####:

Great app but crashes like crazy on certain services which work fine with Google or lastpass authenticator.

No problems on Nexus 6p. Excellent extra layer of security.

Doesn't work. Nothing happens.

Please provide Android Wear functionality as it would be even more convenient/impressive to allow login attempts from my wrist!! Do it!

H70%

Extremely useful app! Saves a lot of time!

U70%

Greed application so far but needs Android where integration to be better still. If they allowed integration with your Android wear, it would be infinitely more useful.

P70%

This 2 factor is super simple, quick and works every time. Everything I need, and far above the competition in user friendliness.

Have set up lastpass with it.

U70%

This works well with last pass, easy install, easy pairing, no problems

M70%
by M####:

I couldn't get Toopher to authenticate my LastPass account login today, so I started searching online for a cause. Turns out they were bought by Salesforce. Thanks for the heads-up, guys. Migrating to another multi-factor authentication app and uninstalling, now.

T70%
by T####:

Rarely alerts on new phone. If I open the app before logging in to a client system it always seems to come up.

U70%
by U####:

Bad app design. My toopher got updated after a phone update. Since then, I have never been able to pair my devices with the app.

U70%
by U####:

Needs Android Wear Support. When I see it I think I will finally make the switch.

What now? C2DM shut down as of July 31, 2015... Now what?

U70%

I was required to use this for work, and encountered numerous errors when trying to pair devices.

C70%

Concept was cool. Wish I could have got it to work though. After multiple error messages of it not being able to track my location I uninstalled.

If this app decides not to pop up when it should and act like it should, you're dead in the water. I can't make it pop up when I need it to so if it doesn't for some reason I can't get into any of my accounts. Happened to me this morning, couldn't get into email, couldn't get into Lastpass because this wasn't popping up to authenticate me in. Couldn't take OFF 2nd authentication from last pass because I couldn't get into email. I had to reset my gmail password so I could turn off third party authentication from lastpass because this app decided to not work this morning. I'm not sure who's fault this is honestly but it looked as though the toopher app wasn't getting whatever signal it needed to pop up for me to swipe or whatever. Either way I can't risk that happening when I'm at a customer's location and lose access to all my accounts.

X70%
by X####:

I've only used toopher for about a day, and I like what it is capable of, but I wish I could control the notifications I get to just a icon, with no noise, or maybe vibrate only. I don't want to hear my default notification sound every time I go to log into something. Being able to customize the sound, or change to vibrate only would be great. Other than that, I like the app so far.

Good Authenticator replacement with automated approval

C70%
by C####:

Whenever I redo my phone I have to reset all of my toopher connected accounts

C70%
by C####:

Very good. The location based authentication is helpful. I have changed my Google authenticator code to toopher.

C70%
by C####:

I've had no issues with it and haven't heard of any security flaws to date. Does the job well. Handy automation feature.

I70%
by I####:

Changing my review from 4 to 2 stars. When I first installed it for use with Lastpass I encountered some issues such as needing to wake, and sometimes unlock the phone to have what should have been an automated approval granted, which pretty much voids Toopher's USA of having automated approvals. I assumed it was a bug that would be fixed quickly but 2 months have since gone by without a single update, rendering Toopher no better than the competition. Removed.

T70%
by T####:

Easy piece of cake , almost didn't have to wake up to do this.
