FireDog is the most complete fire pump discharge calculator on the Google market. Customize your line layouts with the intuitive GUI selecting from hoses, nozzles, or appliances. Create custom attachments (hoses, nozzles, or appliances) and use the forms to adjust values such as hose coefficient of friction, nozzle flow/pressure, appliance friction loss, etc. Add gated wye appliances or monitors with any number of discharges and turn them on or off with the touch of a finger. Create multiple engines configurations with their own layouts. After configuring a department's equipment, simply export the database and share it with anyone who has FireDog. FireDog will keep a list of imported databases and allow you to choose your current database at any time so it's also multi-department friendly. Supports SAE and Metric measurements/calculations.

I'm a big dumb firemen and assume most guys using this app are. Why complicate the friction loss formula? When calculating friction loss, no one knows what the coefficient of friction is.....but everyone knows what size hose they are using. Why not use hose diameter rather then coefficient of friction? Then let the magic calculation happen behind the scene and spit out my friction loss calculation. Or better yet, give me both the friction loss and what pressure I should pump at.

Would like to be able to go back to lines added and edit them. Right now you have to delete the line then readd it with new info and can't save as the same name

Downloaded this app as the rest of the world uses metric not imperial units. Even though advertised it will support metric units I cannot change or edit the units? Please respond. Talked to the developer and very proactive with updates made. Very happy!

Very smooth and customizable, saves line configurations and you can export them to other people to use. Looks great on my Droid Razr Maxx HD. Calculates PDP, Flow and Estimated time until empty from source.

Great app! I never used to know how much water to use in my spaghetti noodles, but I used firedog to figure it out. Very practical!
