TomTom Speed Cameras

Look, its ok. The maps are not the best, very 1990 in their look and feel. We have all gotten used to Google's maps. The settings NEEDS an option to shut down without a confirmation dialog box! For the love of chocolate, it's just an info app, closing it doesn't lose anything. Otherwise not bad, although I just use the speed display/camera warning overlay.

Speed limit says 21 in 20. Some speed limits are incorrect, with no way to update them like in Waze. Some speed limits missing. Would be good if it could read map and route data, as I can be on a flyover doing 70 and get warnings for 30 camera on the road underneath the bridge. Not good!

Output sound to car doesn't stop music playing at the same time and just warns along with music apps so hard to hear with them both playing at the same time. Can't even contact thru email cause need create account and when I do it says it's disabled or incorrect. Reset password and still can't log in but can log in through user icon but can't log on when contacting. Just so many hoops to try and help Dev make app better and can't.

A SPEED cam ???? It DOESN'T warn you. Driving on the A2 though Maastricht where there is a TrajectContol in the tunnel.. two other apps warned ok .. this USELESS TomTom showed NOTHING!!! Don't bother using this .. if you trust it you'll be getting speeding fines in the post!!

Cracking app. Tried once & on first time worked 100% for a mobile speed van in Dumfries & Galloway. I now sit with this app running in the background in the car. Was close to buying a Road Angel but seems this is probably worth a good go first.

Split screen does not work. I would like to run gmaps in parallel. No application for smartwatch. Can't look at screen on a bike, nor hear warnings. A smartwatch vibration is all I need. Say three timers for overspeed at three hundred meters, two times at two hundred meters, one time at one hundred, continuously if speeding at the camera.

Used for first time today. 2 problems I find with it. Needs data constantly turned on. Saps battery and would be useful if it knew speeds while offline. Even though I know they are updates while online. Also the app is very slow to change speeds when changing speed past a sign. For example 40mph to 60mph It's so slow that it flashed me as speeding even though I were in a 60mph zone.

I like the queuing traffic notification. I am using the app on my galaxy. I'll see what happens when I next power up my Tom Tom XXL. I am a Driving Instructor and changes are being made to.the test to require to drive independently using a sat nav.

Most annoyed! I previously loved this app because it would work out my average speed during average speed check zones, since a recent update the app doesn't do this anymore. Fix that and I'm happy to changw my review.

It's Free and why would you not use it. Great options to automatically enable with Bluetooth. I have paid money in the passed for an app like this and was not even as good. give it a go what you got to lose.

Its pretty good, accuracy could be better on run up to cameras as distances can be out (might just be phone, although its set for high accuracy) and I use a couple of roads which have average speed cameras along there entire length, but the app only shows average cameras in certain locations (not good).

The freezing and self shut down issue seems to be fixed as a result editing my 1 star review. The app is really good and has potential but needs to give the ability to report speed limits like Waze as they are very inaccurate around inner London streets

I like the app and the straightforward style. Simple and useful. But... when I use it over Maps' sat nav (which is missing the ability to show current speed) the Tomtom app either stops working or only running in the back.

So far the best speed camera alert and works on background of other program like Google map. Thank you so much for adding voice warning tone and love see so more different warning tune too. This app is getting much better everyday.

As an HGV driver I use this app all the time in conjunction Google maps across Ireland & UK. It's an excellent way of keeping my license clean & being a responsible driver. Yes it does use a lot of battery power but what do you expect if it's on all the time? It's not a big data user just keep your device plugged in & you're good to go! Great app, had issues with app closing by itself but updates have fixed that problem. A no-brainer to install.

The app takes too long to change speed limit, i. e. Changing from a 30 to a 60, (all this time it is giving out warnings that I am over the speed limit), it also tells me I am exceeding a 21 mile speed limit in a 20 zone. We do not have 21 mile limits in the UK.

Good on camera alerts. Some speed limits are out of date

Has cameras on the app that have been removed more than a year ago. I therefore find it useless

Used only once so far. Seems wonderful for me. If it changes I will update my review. Have fun driving. ;)

Great app, saved me a lot of times, particularly like the audio warnings and average speed calculator, however speed limits are incorrect alot of the time with no way to suggest corrections

Must have as a new driver this app is a must gives you a gental reminder of your speed as any new driver ya only alowed 6 points with in 2 years so love this app and would highly recommend

Only used it for a short time but out of the 4 or 5 I've tried this the best and hasn't let me down so far where the others have when tested. Good start.

It picks up all the fixed cameras in Australia and also works really well calculating does between average speed cameras, handy when driving on Hume highway.

Would be better with a larger current speed and road limit speed displayed. Needs a better way for users to report different cameras, speed restrictions and new road limits to database

Speed limit on willfred barret dr. Top speed is 80 not 90 change position of sinage

Great speed camera app with verbal warnings, but needs a mono audio toggle option.

Awesome app; Would be nice to have a configurable tolerance for alerts. ie. only alert if over a certain speed over limit. etc. Otherwise it alerts a bit too often.

Not user friendly, it doesn't give speed camera warnings or mobile camera warnings

Though Speed limits are sometimes wrong, never missed fixed/mobile camera warnings

quite good but you need to be moving to report a camera...it would be nice to place a marker for a known camera when not driving

Camera info so far out of date. Travelling at 120kmh there is no time to add a camera

This free app is just as good as my road angle which has stopped working I would recommend this good app

Works fine, it would be nice if also the screen could turn on with warnings.

no doubt this is a great app. adding compass to this app will help the traveller to find direction.
