Toastmasters International for Android
Login is broken. Tells that experienced connection errors & asks to check device connectivity. The same device allows successful login using Chrome for Android
I'm new to TM. This app won't allow me to log in. It seems this has been a problem for a while. Why don't you fix it? #disappointed
I can't even login and I know login is correct. It says it can't commumicate. if I put password wrong on purpose it gives a different error about password.
It does what it's supposed to, but I can't help but feel underwhelmed. Perhaps example scripts for role players as an addition?
Good for support roles during meeting. Lacks ability to keep club progress on goals.
I like the app. I like that I am able to select member names from the updated list of members. I would however like to be able to report the results back to the club. i.e. Email the results back as feedback. Overall, though, the app is easy to use.
Does not work well with tablets. A shame
stand alone and requires MANUAL writing to get values out of it. NEED fix, at least a CSV file autouploaded to choice of onedrive, googledrive, dropbox.
use full to reduce paper
Cannot log in!!!!!
Very limited use.
Would like to hear lecture as well
Great tools
Nice
Only worked first time with member number and after requesting new password (the old one worked fine on the website). Crashes. Very few tools.
It's always logging me out... The timer is super limited and annoying when you want to set a custom role...
Every time that I log in successfully, the next several times are unsuccessful. The app has difficulty recognizing the correct login credentials consistently.
Find it useful for club meetings. Needs the ability to delete history. I accidentally saved some speech practice times and it won't let me delete them.
It is great for competitions, when placed in the front. Only the speaker can see the lights. no judges. Also placed on the lectern doing a normal presentation
Cumbersome. What good does it do me to login? There are better timers available from other vendors
App keeps telling me I'm not connected to the Internet and won't let me log in.
Crashes often in Android 6.x, Timer says milliseconds when it is only hundredths. Can't login most of the time.
Need ability to delete history
Finally an app to work with timing and speeches
Because I can't create a profile.
Made the evaluation to reach the members more appropriately.
I'm a Gavelier
Cant even login
If you log in, you need to log out to time a guest, which is irritating. Also I prefer not to see the time but rather just the colour
Ive tried the ah counter feature, and it showed most of our club members. However, there was no way to add guests and new members to the list. There was also no category for general roles like topics master or general evaluator.
This app is absolutely useless. Our club has 50+members. Imagine that when you find the speaker's name, the speech has finished. Or sometimes you can even find the name if it's a guest speaker. I haven't complained that I need to login multiple times when I phone goes idle. Wouldn't it be useful to pull the schedule from easy-speaks and give flexibility to adjust speaker's name? I'm doubting how the app was planned and designed. If you cannot deliver a great app, don't release it!
Some features only work when logged on, but the app won't keep me logged in. Also, if the intention is to record info after the meeting, this is fine, but the interface is awkward to use during a meeting.
This refuses to log me in and tells me to check my connection. Yet it downloaded and every other app connects. This happens on both tablet and phone
This has eliminated paperwork. I will not begin with a ah in case I forget my pen & paper. My smartphone does it all. Thumbs up
First time I tried it kept saying the app was unable to connect with TMI
I was expecting much more. This is a very basic app. I would find it very difficult and off-putting to speakers to have people trying to input data onto phone during meeting.
Here are my thoughts on the Toastmasters App…I tested the Ah-Counter function last night. ----Ah-Counter functionality is only for specific parts of the meeting. What if there is a transgression during our business meeting or when the member is acting as GE? ---Ah-Counter functionality only counts Ahs on my Android. (the video they have shows more options on the iOS…thanks guys!) 2 stars because of this ----Generally, if an item is saved accidentally to the history, it can’t be undone (I guess the VPE can unapprove…good luck if your club has a non-technical VPE). As the person logging the report, give me a period of time to undo application of those items. ---Promising start. We'll see if they seriously implement it or it was made to calm the masses about the dues increase.
As others have said, the Toastmasters app is a good start. My question is: where is the Toastmasters API? By making TMI club and member records available to third-party applications, to read and update via an API, tremendous innovation could be unleashed for the benefit of the Toastmasters organisation as a whole. A brief survey of Toastmasters-related apps and online services is enough to confirm that there are many developers out there who would jump at the chance to build additional value on top of such an API. If TMI does not take advantage of this opportunity, progress will be limited by TMI's ability to invest in and develop its own 'official' apps and online services. The result will be slower progress and higher costs for the organisation and is members.
An app developed by someone who has never attended a meeting. We need a way to clear or edit histories before approval. Selecting Members for ah counting and grammarian should be faster and easier in case we are doing a different kind of group activity. Entering different crutch words for use not just for officers. Entering guests info should be allowed so we can still utilize the app. History may be easier if I can enter into a meeting mode and select attendees then perform roles off that list.

Free version has better time choices. Disappointing to find less features and less usability after paying for this. Reverting to free version. Do not recommend this Paid app unless it is upgraded to reflect better UX and features.
