Turning Movement Count Pro for Android
ProVersion: This software is ok'ish but it does not count trucks well. Also, when you finish counting you have to go to a third part site to get the data in excel form. We have yet to do that. Not sure why the run around. The TurnCount app for iPhone is a a million time better in my opinion. I am stuck with Android however. At this point I can only hope for an update.
I use the Pro version for video counts and for field counting. The free report generator and video data logger that work I'm conjunction with this App are free, and incredible. The technical service and support is amazing. And the price... Its $1000 for a JAMAR count board, this app is $10. The only downside is there is no Right on Red. Other than that, perfect! Technical support has helped me out within minutes every time I've ever had a question too!
Great!
This PAID app will function on my Droid Razr M. I am very disappointed.
I have to say that if you're looking for a replacement of one of those Jamar countboards, this works great! I cannot believe that the app is so cheap especially with the experimental feature that essentially has the potential to replace one of those $3,000 video based count products. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see what new features are added.
Have used count sheets and other electronic counters. Both are a hassle. This ap is amazing. Cannot thank you enough for sharing it.
This app is amazing for the price and works great for low to medium volume intersections. We used it on tablets. For busier locations, the need to check where your fingers are makes this app hard to use. Larger buttons and an audible feedback would make the app perfect for all locations.

I've used this app to do occasional spot counts. It is a lot more economical than obtaining a counter board and better than doing a manual tally count. One challenge is that you have to look away from traffic frequently while using it to find the correct arrow for a movement on the screen. The arrows seem to be a bit more spread out than I'd like on my tablet also do not like the tdl format. I'd prefer to be able to export directly to CSV files. For short counts I find the current process a bit cumbersome.
