TMBG forever

Awesome easy to use app that plays tmbg. What's not to love?

For kids like me who never got Dial-a-Song, this is even better.

One small issue that has recently come up: it will start up and play automatically at random times. Is this an issue with the app or is it due to clutter from other apps?

For years I have been trying to create the perfect musical "App" by winding yarn around an old Conway Twitty® cassette tape from my youth and placing it securely in my trusty CAS1500 Cassette Player/Recorder. Yet it was to no avail. But now, those Johns of the musical arts have come forth with such an "App" that had truly outshined all others. Now as easy as calling NYC anyone with a "smart" phone can learn why the sun shines or how many chambers there are in their very own heart! I say Maestro, Right On!

So no new updates for this app??

I finally had the sense to clear data and cache (and force stop, but I doubt that helped), and once again the app works as good as ever. Excellent.

It mostly plays fine but it's glitchy at times; wrong or cut off songs, closing unexpectedly, etc. Usually clear data -> uninstall -> reinstall fixes bugs.

This is one of my favorite apps. The new update fixed my current issue.

App works wonderfully and delivers and installs melody the way it ought.

Wish I could shuffle through, but I think that's the point :)

Taking TMBG with me all the places!

I Love this music. And the app design perfectly fits the spirit of tmbg.

Used to work great, but now every time I try to open the app it immediately closes. Did the same thing on my husband's phone. What gives? I even try to uninstall and reinstall. Update on 2/16/2015 did not fix the problem. Stability not improved in the slightest.

Now, Upon every open of the application, it insta-closes... Can no longer use this... Makes me sad, it's like someone took my happy away

Long time TMBG fans, get this app now!

Fun way to have TMBG whenever and wherever you want. I remember my college boyfriend calling in to the original Dial-a-song. That would be late 1990s. :)

This has quickly become one of my favorite, and most used, apps. A nice little fifteen to twenty minute TMBG mix tape to listen to every day on my way into work, with a new playlist daily. Plus, the visual design is stellar. Every band should do this!

I love TMBG. I love this app. Nuff said.

My mom and dad raised me on TMBG, and often spoke lovingly of the old Dial-a-Song days. (They also lent a guitar cord to the Johns once for a gig, which I think is super cool.) The fact that I can carry around my own Dial-a-Song in my pocket is proof we're living in one of the best possible futures. Love the felt design, and the interface is easy to use. Can't recommend it enough.

Easy on the eyes, completely non-invasive permissions and music from They Might Be Giants? You should just download it...

Any fan of TMBG will appreciate the attractive, clean design of this app - visually and mechanically, it's a bonafide winner on all counts. Well done!

I have pretty much all of TMBG's music, but it's still nice to have this app when I'm somewhere with just my tablet and no other way to access their great music. Also very simple and quick to install and use, which is always a plus - two thumbs up!

Love the style of the app, kind of wish I had a back button to repeat a song, but it's not important overall. High recommend this app if you like TMBG!

TMBG has been a constant in my life lo these many years. Their canon is so huge and varied there's a song for everything. Sad? The Johns are there. Happy? There they are. Wondering why we are here and what our decaying bodies have to tell us about how we connect with the universe? Yes, covered. When TMBG came up with a FREE app so I could hear their FREE songs anywhere, well I was overjoyed. It reminds me of the old dial-a-song days which blew my mind and changed the way I thought. Thank you, John, John, Dan, Danny and Marty. Five stars.

Or use it on your work's WiFi? ;-) Great app, it gives you five free songs you can play and it cycles through them so if you are palying with the buttons and skip past one you like, just keep hitting next until you get back to it (there are only 5 at a time).
