Voice Recognition for Spotify for Android
Keeps force closing! Couldn't get it to work on Galaxy s6
Keeps on crashing. Please just fix it.
it's an awesome app I just wish I could use Bixby while it was open!
Understands my Scottish accent, which is great! But you have to open the app and tap the screen to activate it? What's the point then? If I have to open an app and tap the screen, surely I can just open Spotify and tap it a few times to play music. So this is saving me a whole 2 or 3 taps of the screen? Surely the whole point in voice recognition is so that you can use it while driving or some other activity. Pointless to be honest. But that aside, kudos on the voice recognition AI *Edit. Dev replied and the issue is sorted now. Silly me. Great app
Really good app that's perfect for driving but one tiny issue. The first command has to have the screen tapped or the app will crash. If for the first command I tap the screen however, every other command can be full voice command with no problem.
Good voice functionality, and the recent addition of personal play lists is excellent. Thanks for responding and fixing my original complaint, move from 3 stars to 5!
I'm confused on how to use this app, I have a Fire HD 8, and once I say "Music Player" nothing happens, I tried it when I was in the app, I also tried it in the Spotify App, but for some reason I still ain't getting nothing, an I doing something wrong or is it because of the platform I'm using?
Would be great if recognised playlist but it.sadly.doesnt for me. Would also be fantastic if could interact with apps like radio player as do long journeys as don't always want to listen to spotify and likewise don't always want to listen to radio
Doesn't work on a Samsung #6
Crashes everytime i tap on the app.
did recognize what i said on the microphone but played randomly and recognized only bits on whats playing. said play playlist my songs and microphone had it but the playing section only had sngs. sorry but not worth much to me.
Downloaded, followed the instructions. I asked it to play a song. And the text says what I said. But nothing is playing. Tried it a few times. Still nothing
Keeps crashing on my lg v20. Good idea for the car.
Pretty good app just can't get my personal playlists I use for gaming or work
Can't play your personal playlists and over 75% of the time the voice app will not get what I say correct and play something else
No matter what command you use it will not automatically play your music.
Sadly did not work at all. I needed it to play from my downloaded library but it would only play random c**P I had not chosen.
Does what it says it does. Nothing more nothing less
Crashed few times on s7 but now it seems to work
Simply doesn't connect with my spotify account and doesn't work
Pretty good solution for hands free spotify
It's great! Excellent work! As with anything, however, it can be improved upon. For example, there is no capability to search for songs with apostrophes in them such as Bootleggin' by Quinn XCII for example. The ability to customize the attention word to avoid it going off randomly instead of "music player" would be much appreciated. I still like to have that feature enabled when in the car to remain Hands free. Lastly, the music doesn't stop when I receive and answer phone calls which is problematic. ATTS6
Galaxy S5, connected to the internet; all three methods to start recording work, it would display what I said on the screen, and then nothing. If I was listening to a song and used the STOP or SKIP commands, it would simply pause the song for a split second.
While most of the voice control works, it can't access YOUR playlists. Thus if you have a playlist named "Rock" or "soft" and say "Play playlist soft" it will play the closest pre-made spotify playlist rather than yours.
LG G3
Great app. Can listen to Spotify hands free
Crashes on start of input everytime
Seems to work ok with S7 edge.
Fnnnn love it
Voice Recognition for Spotify is pretty awesome. It's really convenient being able to tell spotify what songs you want to play when your hands are tied. The voice recognition is good if you don't play the music too loudly, but it works perfectly if you listen with headphones.
It's a very good idea, but the problem is that the app simply crashes after you open it. It doesn't seem to even recognize voice commands or have a way to input them. The setting to say music player doesn't work and because of the crashing I suppose I'll never know if this was a good fit for what I wanted.

I have s7 but it just crashes as soon as I try to input a command.
Does not work through the Spotify app. A little slow, you have to press the screen to get it to listen to your commands. Still, does play Spotify as expected.
Still getting the hang of it
Fnnnn love it
Great to change songs using your voice. I wish it applied to podcasts too though. Overall great feature Spotify is missing.
Just searches all of Spotify for a similar named playlist and can't find my personal ones

Took me a while to work it out. Going into the settings and enabling the voice command music player is fantastic. This is exactly what I've been looking for to help me control spotify while driving. Look forward to seeing more functionality and more commands. I'd like volume up 2x 3x 4x etc.
