TiVo for Android
Versions 3.2.3 and 3.2.5 do not work on my asus zenpad tablet running marshmallow. It crashes before the login screen. There was no other TiVo app installed. I tried clearing cache, deleting app data, and even performing factory reset. Nothing. I reinstalled 3.2.2 on my tablet (no other changes) and _that_ version is 4 stars.
So frustrating to have a new version that is totally broken. Every time I pause the show it's completely starts over at the beginning when I unpause it. This is so annoying and frustrating and we never had this problem before. Please fix!!!
Tivo is requesting root access! What is the app trying to do that it needs root access? Keeps crashing too in version 3.2.5. Version 3.2.3 also requests root and then gets stuck on connecting.
Well, at least they fixed the "hidden downloads" problem (which effected my device using a Stream, not a Roamio). So it's back to good, not great. Its finicky and crashes more than it should, but at least I can download my shows and take them with me again.
Bought a bolt so that i could download to my Android and i can't get it to work a single time. My box is hardwired to a very fast stable Ethernet connection and I'm trying to download at home through my own wifi network, but all i get is "download failed. Please try again. Error 56:7". Useless...
Apparently runs in the background. Frequently I get a pop up saying "unfortunately the TiVo app has stopped". It shouldn't be running in the first place.
The latest update seems to handle streaming better. Hoping it no longer conveniently loses its configuration for out of home streaming.
My only complaint is the what to watch I would like to have a setting to control what streaming services it shows content for. I only want to see shows available on Netflix and Prime.
Love TiVo, but the app is broken. I can't stream to my phone in my own network. PLEASE FIX!
There is no way to specify my local TiVo's address manually, so I cannot use this for any of the local control functions. Autodiscovery won't work because my wireless network is segregated. Stupid design decision.
Works great with the new TiVo bolt. Can set stuff to record while away, modify anything and control anything with the TiVo. Also can stream shows to my phone and tablet. However I wish when streaming shows that you could use the commercial skip feature.
Works very well for setting up recordings without using the TV. Convenient. Don't use the streaming capabilities so can't comment on that part.
Useless. Instantly crashes every time I try to run it.
App icon does NOT even appear on my Galaxy Tas S3. I must open through the Play Store every time. This gets old fast.
It loses connection haven't had this much problems before
No it off home streaming with Oreo. Get it together TiVo!!
Generally the app has been really great, but during the past couple of months it's only been crashing every time I try to use it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times.
Does just what it says and works fine. Running it on Galaxy S7 and Samsung Tab S using a Tivo Bolt+
I liked having the remote on my phone but they removed most of the remote functions
Buggy version, unable to view channel guide, Makes it useless
Reconnecting reconnecting reconnecting..... Useless. Unable to use on Android so far
Good thing you won your patent lawsuit so you have at least one thing going for you cus your software development skills suck. This app can't even download a show to my phone over a home network while the TV UI constantly die with a "grey screen o'death".
Why have it if you have to be in the house to use it. Stupid
Outdated UI. Missing the back button on the virtual remote somehow???
Wont OPEN Crashes upon launch, Galaxy S7 >:(
Was working. Now keeps crashing.
App constantly forgets login information
The app is too buggy to be useful on an Android phone. The tivo guys should copy the spectrum app which works well.
Cannot scroll guide to the right for future time
time is off and guide is wrong
Won't even run on nougat..doesn't even get to login screen
Terrible excuse for a remote
Fantastic
The latest update forces me to the "What to Watch" when I used to be able to select what screen I wanted to start in in the settings, please put this feature back and I will increase the rating. I don't have a box that has streaming built in so I can't comment on that but I can no longer purchase the "Tivo Stream" to add this to my Roamio OTA but would like to purchase a new one if I could.
The app spontaneously started working better. I am confused as to how, but everything I'm used to working... seems to work again. Search functions, categories and download speed could all be improved, but at least the app isn't crashing the tivo box nearly every time I try to use it like it was before.
Update: As of October 28, still have an issue watching shows on certain channels. For example, the app never plays a show from abc....Iused the love TiVo & this app. After the July 6 app update it rarely works and when it does it freezes for hours. Really hoping you fixed this soon. Please roll back the July 6 update!!!
Crashes every time I try to use it on my tablet. Makes a mockery of my recently purchased TiVo Bolt. What gives? (BTW, works okayish and without crashing on my Pixel phone,so I know it CAN work.)
Can this app not suck? It is incredibly slow. Content hardly ever loads, responds with 'no content' or 'network error' 95% of the time. Sometimes it connects to the TiVo box in which it doesn't suck...you know what, nevermind...it still sucks. Content can't stream and TiVo gives some excuse why (not on the local network, can't stream due to restrictions...insert lame excuse here). TiVo would be better off not to have an app at all, at least their reputation would improve by 5%.
It would be nice if I could sign in. App says my email address isn't valid, then I go to add it and it says it's already there. I go to the Contact Us form for help and the Submit button doesn't work, so since you don't want to help your customers, I will place this review.

Halh-done replacement app for the TiVo Classic app, but there was zero indication that this is needed. The old app just simply stops working. Needs better communication about that. It takes a very long time to load this app. It should be much faster. Also, when you go to the guide, it really needs to default to the channel that you are currently tuned in on the TiVo box. Not bad, just needs to be better. And you know you can do better. Don't just slap things together, we are paying way too much to get substandard support.
