EUROVAT

EUROVAT is an application that can validate VAT-identification numbers of economic operators registered in the European Union for cross border transactions on goods or services. You can verify the validity of a VAT number issued by any Member State by selecting that Member State from the list and entering the number to be validated.

Depending on the national rules on data protection, some Member States will also provide the name and address linked to the given VAT number as they are recorded in the national databases.
