Bar 27 was originally Inspired by the Mythology behind the 27 Club and the speculation and controversy surrounding it. The 27 Club is made up of influential musicians that passed on at the age of 27 (notables such as Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison and Amy Winehouse to name a few). Owner/Artist and Founder Michael Hawk of Vampit Visual Arts took the idea of creating the one of a kind custom concept bar to another extreme by adding additional Inspirational musicians, actors and notable figures that were maybe born on the 27th or Correlate with 27 in some form or fashion. With out giving too much away, for example...The Beatles had an astounding 27 Number One Hits, David Bowie recorded 27 Studio Albums in his lifetime, Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Album went Platinum on May 27, 2003 after it was re-released by his label...Those are a few of many random facts that you can learn of and the Art work created with it..Create your own speculation, or conversations or just share in the experience that is the Brand new Bar 27 San Antonio!!
