Ting for Android
Great way to manage your account. App works great even without permissions set.
Just what i needed
App tells you everything you want to know for every line on your account. You can micromanage usage to the minute or megabyte. Been very happy with Ting. Saving me anywhere from $20-35 per month. That adds up.
Thanks app does not display your usage when you are off line. I want to see what my last usage was before I turn on the data service, call or text. It needs to remember the last reading when offline.
This used to be a great app, but now it won't work unless you grant it access to all of your contacts. Big red security flag. I do like the phone service though. I had my own phone and have saved so much money because I only pay for what I use.
I love the app, service and philosophy behind the company. The app is missing device settings for my phone specifically though. Would love to use the app alone, but the website isn't painfully slow.
Top notch. Just like ting mobile.
Ting is my mobile service! I pay for what I use and not for what I don't. We have four phones on Ting and our bill is never over $70 for all! And it's all controlled through this great app. Get Ting and be free!
Tells me all I need to know about my account and let's me change things easily.
This app makes it really easy to monitor and control all the features of your Ting account. Easy to set alarms and limits as well, if you want to use them. Thanks Ting!
Best app cheap phone rates .works great.
I'm happy with Ting phone service, but the app is a crap. It does not work on my LG G4, none of the buttons are functional, swipe up and down does not work, only to sides, sometimes it goes to details on its own and I can't reverse it... Garbage. Luckily non-essential.
Ting, I love ya. But I was happy using the mobile web site. Only now it won't sign me in! So I guess I have to download an app. I'm sure it's a great app, you make great things! But I don't want to download yet another app.
Minutes, messages, megabytes, and I can set restrictions and preferences (such as no International calling, enable call forwarding on no answer/busy). No issues noted.
Does not work on my LG g4. Some buttons work, but unable to check usage
The app runs smoothly, shows usage well, and it is easy to adjust settings. I just wish it would show the chart with all the levels (like in the 'rates' section of the desktop website).
Love the Ting service but app is horrible. I can swipe side to side but that's it. Nothing else works. And I can not close the app unless I use a task killer.
The blue bar up top doesn't do anything on Galaxy S6. I can swipe from left to right, but once I go into one number setting, I can't get out of it unless I close the app.
Sometimes slow to load usage but usually shows correct billing amount after refreshing app.
Unresponsive except for scrolling horizontally across tabs.
This app functions much slower than all my other apps and most functions do not work.
The app does a nice job. I would like to be able to view my usage stats offline though.
The app is crap. None of the buttons work.
Works fine - widgets would be a good addition, though.
Responsive and everything I need to manage my account and devices. Very happy customer.
Almost completely unusable.
Ting makes me want to, want to, SING!
Love the Ting app. Thank you. Issues: When wrong login info is submitted, app responds with confusing errors like "Failed to connect" and "Request timed out".
This app allows me to not only view all my current usage but also adjust all settings that I may need to adjust. What more could you possibly want from an app like this. I have not had any issues with crashing ore freezing or anything like that. The app is always responsive on my HTC EVO 4G LTE. So, for now, this app is, in my opinion perfect. Update July 31, 2016 Just upgraded to the new HTC 10, factory unlocked version and played around with the app. Still no problems. I've read a few complaints about the app hanging or crashing if you deny contacts permission, which it use to customize your detailed usage with the contract name, I have had absolutely no problems denying this permission. Perhaps a model dependant issue. As always great service. SIM card was stolen from my mail and customer service was great and very prompt in replacing.
I switched to Ting in May 2016 and I am very happy with them. The app is the first from a mobile wireless company that actually works! And for me it works very well. I'm very pleased with Ting all around.
This app gives you up to data information of all your phones.
I don't want to share contact information. So app cannot be used. Where's a 1x1 widget showing Voice/Txt/Data/$estimate? Let me know when contact sharing is fixed.
Is Ting going from a cellular service business into "marketing research" (=selling user data)? So why do I have to consent to share my contact information with a simple app that shows my network usage? There is no way to opt out to limit any potential features of this app, agree or access denied. It used to be great, simple app, no frills just basic account usage info. Now it's turning into another user data funnel. No thanks, uninstalling.
Errors out every time when changing phone settings. Suppose it works fine for checking usage, but not for on the fly changes.
Whenever I try and use the app times out and prompts me to close. Please fix. Thank you
Want to know what your current bill will be, or your past bills? This app will do it for your Ting account. Full management of your entire account, and more. YOU are in control of your phone bill. Best app I've seen from a phone company. Great phone service with a great app.
Never has a company been so brothely to its customers. Love you brother Ting! Service, customer service, app, price, features, control, simplicity! Still rocks after 2y
Earlier versions of this app were great, but since upgrading to a Nexus 5x I haven't been able to access full functionality. Menu will not open, so I can only view usage. Hope Ting fixes this soon. Update: downloaded new version in early February. Still freezes.
Ting is great but I hate having to open the app consistently to check my usage maybe you guys could in the future add a widget I can put on the home screen to make monitoring a little easier. Otherwise wouldn't change a thing

When I open it, it keeps telling me "request timed out" and to close the program.
