About Ting compatibility checker

This small app does one thing and one thing only. It checks the phone it's installed on to determine whether or not it will work on Ting.

The Ting compatibility checker app requires permission to access your phone's IMEI number. The IMEI is a phone's unique identifier and it's what we use to get information about your phone (manufacturer, model, which radio frequencies it supports and so on). This info then lets us determine if it will work on Ting. No personal identifying information is pulled, stored or sent.

What, it says my 4G phone only works on 3G?

I had sprint clear my phone. And they say it is going to take 48 hours for me to check again. Thanks no phone for 2 days

Very simple to use.

Five stars to counteract the idiots giving 1 and 2 star reviews that are not for this app--they are grievances directed at Ting. This app does exactly what it claims.

Says my Samsung Galaxy S4 mini is compatible

Z70%

I'm researching smart phones from a few years back and this is helpful. I look forward to PC software to help me with phones from the 90s

But crashes resolved — thanks!

I answered your questions about past usage, but this app wouldn't say what TING would charge. :-(

First let me say that the app its self is inaccurate, as I have a Moto X 2nd Gen, and it says the only thing I can use is 2G. wtf! This now brings me to my second point. Ting is way over priced compared to like Republic Wireless. Which by the way you should check out, because they are freaking awesome!

Motorola Nexus 6 works!

No reason to switch.

T70%

I have a phone on T-Mobile, fully compatible with 4G LTE, HSPA+, etc. Unlocked Zenfone 2 and it says only works on 2G

H70%
by H####:

I tested on my Ting supplied 1st generation Moto x running on Sprint LTE. The app says it will only operate on GSM 2G. Wrong obviously!

K70%
by K####:

sorry, but I KNOW THERES A BALLENCE ON MY PHONE WITH SPRINT. I'M STILL WITH THEM. THATS WHY I'M LOOKING INTO TING. i just wanted to know if my phone would physically work?

Q70%
by Q####:

Out of all the phones, mine just happens to not be on the list and there are 3 of us with those phones. Just can't win. So the app just gives you to the page to buy ANOTHER phone and I hate buying new ones.

Works as expected, nothing much to say but that.
