Time Timer for Android for Android
Just found this app through ADDitude magazine, thanks for bringing this to Android! When I turn off Awake mode, the timer I set disappears when the screen goes off, so I never hear the alarm. Is that supposed to happen? Looking forward to future improvements. Thanks for a great app.
This app works exactly as advertised which is good. It's pretty easy to use but I am taking off marks because it looks like it was directly ported from iOS without any Material Design consideration. It looks out of place on my Android phone since it basically ignores the Android aesthetic.
Very basic, but there is no alternative for this app. It doesn't support Rotation view which is annoying a bit. Can't stream it with chrome chromecast. Can't save more than one timer.
The hardware timer is great because of its ease of use and optical feedback. The preset original timer would be good if it allowed some customization like the programmable once, most notably a change of the alarm sound. Mine gives one tiny beep, which I don't normally hear... But using the custom ones with changeable sounds requires umpteen key presses to change the time and resave... Making it all but useless. Disappointing.
Custom timer is not centered on small screen. Please fix it. I'm using this app almost everyday and the battery drain is just unbearable..
When I use clock mode, instead of just disappearing, the red area moves further ahead
Love this app, has helped my ADHD brain process time so much better. Would love to see Android Wear support to have the time timer on my smart watch!
Love that I can program set times but when I'm using it for my kids I would love to see an update that makes the colour for the timer to stay off (like the physical clock version) when time is over instead of automatically resetting so my kids know that the time is over and not restarting.
Great way to teach kids about time. I'd recommend the app to anyone with kids. Also great for anyone with special learning/cognitive needs.
Good, but it needs to rotate. Tablets and phones stand up on their side for display (mostly)
Despite that most people have covers for their mobile devices which can make a stand in landscape mode, this app still cannot handle this. This makes it impossible to use this app to keep time visible for a group of people, without having the phone fall on the floor dozens of times. Really, how hard can it be? Put the clock left, controls right, and done!

It can't even show properly the clock time at which the time runs out. if its noon and i set a timer for 2 hrs and 30, the indicator should be on 230 pm. Dreadful
Great Tool for a bargain price. The only thing missing is the landscape mode that it has on ios.
Really versatile I like the different types of time as it offers
Landscape Mode Please
Convenient to have this as a portable app, instead of carrying around the actual device. However the battery drain is ridiculous! I have tried shutting down any background apps, dimming my screen, and stopped using my one custom timer....however even with just the 1 default timer running, the battery is drained within about 90 minutes. It might drain less if I let the screen go to sleep...but then what's the point of this as a visual aid? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks.
Love the everything about the app except the default alarm sound. It's a single beep and is too quiet. I would like the ability to set the default setting for the quick alarm such as tone, colour, etc. I know I can create custom alarms and specify different colours and sounds but that defeats the purpose of having the quick timer.
I like the app and it has been a lot of help with my kids. New features: 1) ability to create group of sequential timers. 2) ability to rearrange timers. 3) lock out feature to prevent little hands from stopping the timer.
I like the concept, but I wish it had some specific features. I was looking for an app where you can set an "end-point." For example, I normally wake up at 9am and sleep at 11pm. I was looking for a timer that visual shows how much of my day I have left (or how much time at work I have left). An option to change from time to percentage of time left (or completed) would also be nice. I tried countdown apps, but they are not as visually stimulating as this one.
I have several TimeTimer Versions at home and use all of them for different purposes. Very helpful to enforce concentration and to develop a sense of time in regards to giving presentations. I appreciate the simple and precise layout.
I like the mobility of this app. I use it for my students with behavioral disorders. Unfortunately the battery drain makes it unusable.
Useful. would be great if there is a setting to put awake mode in dark theme (black background with dark grey foreground) to save battery life.
No landscape view
This app constantly stops working. If it were a free app it wouldn't be a problem but it's not. Fix it already.
It would be nice if you were able to schedule timers to start. And if the light on the screen didnt go off so you could look up and see the timer while you were doing something.

Sadly this only works in portrait mode. I'd hoped the update would support landscape. Please make a version that will adjust to how the screen is oriented.
Darn handy app for using around home, work and with my grandkids.
Downgrading my original review because I found another bug. My first complaint was the same as another reviewer's, that the digital clock reappears on saved timers even when the setting for showing it has been unchecked. Now I just found that saved timers don't have an audible end sound even when that selection is checked! In other words, 2/3 of the options for "saved" timers options do not, in fact, "save."
Simple, does what it says and does it well.
I'm a charcoal griller. I've found that medium well takes 16 min. and medium takes 12 min. Your app allows me to set separate 3 min. and 4 min. timers with repeats so I can flip my steaks when they're supposed to be. My diners have had no complaints so far ;) Oh, and the fact that the screen stays on while the timers is running is PERFECT! Thank you! UPDATE: The app just keeps getting better! Thank you for fixing the screen shutting off bug and the issues with timers not saving. TIL that the notification sound that plays at the end of the timers is tied to my phone's alarm settings. I had my alarm sounds turned off so I wasn't hearing the sounds. All better now :)
I use a physical Time Timer for my phone coaching but, due to so many usability flaws there, I am trying this instead. Redesign is better now: quickstart timer on application load. PROBLEM: if phone is silent, no notification! And one bug still persists: I preset timers to NOT display digital time, but it reappears every time I start a clock, very annoying.
The newest release of Time Timer really hits the mark. Looks like all the bugs from the previous release have been fixed and was worth the wait. I use the app all the time when grilling and when timing the kids doing their home work. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good timing apps.
My daughter is in 2nd grade and has numerous math and reading timed homework assignments. The app is a great visual so I can watch her and the clock.
Serious bug though. My timers are not saved, so I have to recreate them every time I need them. 5 stars if that bug is fixed.
Seems to be a great idea. I especially like the automatically repeating option. Unfortunately, even when set to Awake Mode, which is supposed to keep the device awake, the screen dims and turns off as it would normally. And, more importantly, the beep from an alarm doesn't sound until you turn the screen back on! Until those bugs are fixed it's pretty much useless.
It would be nice if you were able to schedule timers to start. And if the light on the screen didnt go off so you could look up and see the timer while you were doing something.

As other reviewers have remarked, this app needs to function in landscape mode with tablets. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, which is fairly large tablet. Having to try to balance it in portrait position (it's cover stand is not made to use in portrait), so that I can use this app is a chore. It is making me use the app less than I normally would. Please fix that feature, and I can upgrade my score.
