Track Navigator for Android
Very disappointing, there is simply no way of uploading GPX files to it. So you can't really 'track' to anything. It keeps going on about 'external storage' but doesn't explain where you have to put the files.
Will only read routes on phone storage and not on any memory cards in use. If this was fixed would get a full 5 stars
Created a gpx route using bikemap. Loads fine here. Cant wait to try the voice navigation for my trip. If it allows offline maps download for routes, it would be awesome! Waypoints created in ride with GPS do not load when imported. But u can login to your ride with GPS account to see your waypoints.
This has been my go-to app for my road cycling for 2 years now. I love the simplicity and how seamlessly in links to Ride-With-GPS. Thanks for keeping it so simple and ad free!
It would be perfect if only it had offline maps. Please make that happen.
Can't view local filled! I've got tcx and gpx files on my phone, and can't see any way to view them!
Really helpful for keeping our bike club on the planned route. We use track navigator for all our group rides.
This could be a very good app if: - map was automatically centered on location. - map was automatically rotated in driving direction.
Excellent app. Exceeded my expectations.
My parents and I were lost in the mountains. I tried to open google maps, but it kept crashing, it was then I realized that I had been hacked by the local wildlife. Nearly all of the play store was locked out or unavailable to me, SAVE BUT ONE APP. That app, was Track Navigator. It not only helped my parents and I escape the icy mountain side, but do so in a cool, sight seeing/hiking kind of way.
I've tried a few different apps to navigate my planned routes but they all had too many issues. I stumbled across Track Navigator yesterday and it does everything I need so far. I would love to see a couple of features added: Rotate the map for the direction being navigated instead of a fixed North and reduce the volume of other apps during voice prompts.
I've been struggling for days with numerous other apps to get turn by turn navigation for my cycling routes. Most of them are ridiculously over designed, or try to do too many things (training regimen, geocaching, etc.), making them effectively impossible to use (from my perspective, at least) This app is SO simple, and direct. It does ONE thing, and it does it well, and easily.
Extremely accurate when tracking files produced by GPX LOGGER but continues to tell me I'm "on track" well after I have continued past the end of the track being followed. Can this be rectified?
Would be ever better if I could reverse the route and if it offered to navigate back to route if I deviate from it.
Doesnt work basically. Wont find a satellite. Told just to re install and try again. No support from support at all.will be asking for my money back.
I use ridewithgps to plan routes and then customise the waypoint directions to my liking. The default directions which rwg creates are often bad. Too many together and sometimes nothing where there should be something. I used to use another android app to download and replay these instructions, but it had some serious flaws, like stalling if it missed a turn. This app has no such problems. Connect an earbud and it will keep up with your progress, reading out your turn intructions with distances to the next one. The only improvement I can suggest is when you go about 100m off track, it tells you so, but it doesn't tell you when you come back to the track. It's free so I gave a donation. Well worth it.
Awesome
Used this with my S6 Active for cycling routes in an unfamiliar location. Just used an ear bud and kept the phone in my jersey pocket. Voice prompts were accurate and timely. My only gripe, and is a small one, is I wish the app automatically lowered the volume of music playing when voice prompts play, like the way Google Nav or Waze does.
Looked all over for a simple yet effective app to help guide me on custom motorcycle ride routes. I needed ear bud turn by turn voice guidance which worked with the screen off and didn't kill the battery... this app does the job and syncs nicely with my online account for ease of use / editing!!! (Update, dropped a star bc it does not seem to work if you have an overlapping route... )
For all the people who are struggling with .tcx / gpx files - Upload these to ridewithgps, then access your account through this app. Uploading there doesn't automatically create waypoints for your files though. If you want waypoints, create a route on ridewithgps and then access it through this app. Ridewithgps charges for turn-by-turn navigation, this app simply takes your waypoints from there and then navigates for you for free! I haven't tried using preloaded .gpx or .tcx files to navigate though, so I can't say for sure how or if this works. I know that this way I get exactly what I needed - voiced turn-by-turn navigation for my own created routes (through ridewithgps), for free!
Cost $6 per month to make your own custom route
How to load GPX file?
Perfect for guide me on my bike
Won't find track on phone. Useless

Very nice
Has Ride With GPS blocked Track Navigator to push their own app? If so, it would be real pity... If not, please fix this.
Elegant, low resource use app. Does the job so wonderfully by announcing turns and street names. You can even run the app with the phone in airplane mode to save battery. For the ultimate in turn by turn voice nav, use Track Navigator along with OsmAnd simultaneously.so that every bend in the road is properly announced. With just a headset on and the phone in a jersey pocket, the rider has all the nav info needed with very low power consumption. Expect six hour run times minimum in airplane mode running multiple apps. Many thanks.

Simple n best n free
I live in the Long Beach area, and after I downloaded this app, I discovered an awesome track called "Tour de Sewer". My wife and I followed this track deep into the Los Angeles sewer system. We got used to the smell pretty fast, but after about an hour, my phone's screen went out. It was pitch black, and I couldn't see a thing, but I just continued to follow the soothing voice directions from Track Navigator, and in three and a half hours, I was back above ground. My wife didn't make it, because she has an iPhone, but this app saved my life. Thanks Track Navigator!
In town named walking did not find any tracks From Marek
I'll try I didn't try still now
Very nice
Used this app for a Birmingham to London 2 day cycle I did this week. Worked very well on my Nexus 4; with 2 battery rechargers to keep it going all day. Shall use it again. Would be even better if it orientated itself to the direction of travel. I used GPX files I had created in Endomondo. Couldn't find a way to add waypoints to the GPX files but it mattered not as I just used the map view anyway.
Finally, the app to navigate .gpx files ! Excellent. But pls. include an option to keep the arrow pointed up and allow the map to be automatically rotated. All the same, a wonderful app for FREE !
Great for pre planned route, just wish offtrack navigation could be added when turning is missed so I don't need to dig phone out to find the turning
Surprised this app is free.
Only the distance to waypoints during navigation seems a bit off, but the app works great!

Exactly 66% effective for me. Using to follow mountain bike traces. No roads/waypoints, so relying on "off track" announcements. Within abt 30sec announces off track. Additional feature to announce "Back on track" would make it 100%. This would negate need to get out the phone and confirm back-track.
