The app is ok but I am not for paying just to send a quote. So I tried instant quote. Where you olny pay if the customer contacts you back. Some how I'm just paying and paying. HOW DO I KNOW IF THE APP IS NOT GENERATING THE QUOTE REQUEST THEMSELVES. It just dose not add up.

I have had a lot of success, very quickly with this app. I am really disappointed that the app constantly freezes. I hope they fix that soon. Most importantly, I'm getting work!

Recent update shredded the app. The instant match setting never leads to anything so I choose to send quotes on my own terms. You used to be able to customize a message doing it this way, but now the quotes for both instant match and individually sent are the same. Just a robotic looking quote with a price. Nothing personalized about it. I get that you're doing it in an effort to get more people to sign up for instant match, but focus on fixing that option instead of taking away from the ability to personalize quotes. I spent $300 on quotes last year. Why am I being punished because no one wants to sign up for instant match? And pick a price for the quotes. For god's sake first it was $3.34 then $5.01 then $6.68 then back to $5.01. Just pick one

4 words....SCAM, STAY AWAY, BEWARE! Employee generated leads. I got a request from someone in my town...the problem...no one lives here by that name. No local Facebook profiles for ANY of the leads (100+) that I have received. You have been warned. I have spent over $100 and have received ZERO responses. Not even to the ones that I pay to ask for more info so I can give a bid. Beware!

Why is the price to send quotes increased!? I already spent an average of $60/month to send quotes & now you want to nearly double that? At least stop charging us if we're not replied to or hired. I'm very close to deleting this app!

I would use this app if we got charged for the lead only if we got the job not everytime ur bid was looked at

App is good, no issues.

I can't set my services. It says to put your type of services. There's a button that reads "services", I click it and get a whole new blank page with a little blue "add" next to the word "services". I click the "add" and I get a whole new blank page. That's it, no options or nothing. I uninstalled / reinstalled, now I can't use the email link they keep requiring I follow. I damn sure don't want anything to do with facebook, so I guess this isn't gonna work for me.

This app is a scam!!! The requests are from thumbtack employees that have no intention on hiring anyone for a job. The second anyone says hi or responds in any way, not even about the job, just a common courtesy to respond to a message you get, and you will be charged $56 plus dollars!!!! Do not download this app!! It is a waste of money and a complete scam for small business owners.

Horrible scam fake jobs you pay to bid on, over priced, no responses. I have spend hundreds of dollars on bids i never made. Instant match is horrible it does nothing and your supposed to not have to pay if you dont get a response but they are still charging me like crazy, zero refunds! So they are charging me for nothing and there is no way to get my money back or talk to someone on the phone. They need to be sued, they are creating fake jobs and charging us to bid on them.

I pick up a good of clients on thumbtack however, there is an scam issue that they need to address . Also , they need address if a prospect is not interested after seeing quote (instant quote on mode), we shouldn't be charged if they reply of not being interested. Those are my biggest issuess

App was constantly sending me inquiries for the wrong areas and wrong types of jobs, despite correcting my location and job numerous times.

They sometimes have a category for my services, and sometimes they don't, it depends on how many people are frustrated by the amount of supply and demand. I guess they do it so they don't get bad reviews. Huh.

I just started and I like the service, but I keep getting a request closed error with every request. Luckily they have an open in browser function that works for now.

Thumbstack is an amazing app that helps you go out there and provide your services and skills to great people with a variety of different projects... And their charges are low & fair... Highly recommend an immediate download!!!

It was a great app that assisted me regularly until I was unable to access it and constantly try to reach someone to assist me with no replies once they added instant match I try to contact someone about them using my card and now I can't even read the request and no one has tried to help me solve this problem and it's been going on for days now

I would give it 0 stars, but it doesn't go that low. Reason being; someone got a hold of my info, and tried to use it to start their account.(they had been previously banned) The developers shut down my account and at first I thought it was for my protection. But no, they accused me of trying to scam their system and would not listen to my side of the story. They would not reactivate my account, nor refund my money, and I'm also banned because if the supposed affiliation with the other party. This is injustice, and I hope someone comes up with a better app and shuts this company down.

I dislike thumbtack because they have a local con man that they won't kick off. He has been in prison several times and sewed over 150 times. Multiple customers from last year that he ripped off reported him to thumbtack too. This con man is still on there. I also did my own background check on a contractor in Madison Wisconsin. Russ Beier from Dektex has a extensive background of theft by a contractor Felonies and thumbtack passed his background.

I hate it. When I started the app I was getting all kinds of bids and work through it but then they started doing a lot of program updates and now I'm not getting anything. The app keeps telling me my notifications are turned off and when I try to turn them back on a prompt comes up saying they are experiencing technical difficulties and this all the time for the last 3 months. I tried restarting the app under another email but it's the same outcome. I don't know what the developer is doing but it's not good.

Notifies me for every job except the ones I want. Then if one I want finally does come up it tells me "no internet" when I click it. And I'd say about 90% of people looking to hire are just window shopping. They're broke people looking for thousands of dollars worth of work but only willing to spend 100$. It's a joke. Waste of money.

Its a scam mostly. You pay to bid on leads, but you dont know if the "customer" on the other end is acually an authentic potential customer, or just a bot generated customer by thumbtack to trick you and suck your money. I've tried it and have not scored any new clients, let alone heard back from any. Seems like BS to me. I've paid plenty and seen no results. BEWARE

Lots of bad reviews and when I down loaded it wanted all my phone information really creepy and it also seems to have criminals on it

I wouldn't recommend this app to anyone that doesn't have a surplus of extra cash throw away.For instance, the "instant match" is a scam, and it will match you up with customers you don't want, that are out of your designated service area, etc. They provide misleading directions that leave one believing there's no charge unless you are hired by an individual, but nowhere does it state that computer generated leads will be sent out by the app, and when the prospective client responds, a $3-5 minimum charge will be automatically taken from your bank account. I was charged upwards of $15 in 2 occasions, and over $100 total for contact with people out of my scope of service or out of my listed working range. They refused to refund, claiming it was my fault.

I love using Thumbtack for my business! Compared to other lead services such as Home Advisor, the price is right and the people I get are wonderful to work with so ya!

It's saying my email is already in use but then saying they can't find the email when I try to login????

I love this app! Above $5 is too much to pay to invoice, however. If I could buy 2 invoices for the same price I would always spend twice as much.

I used Thumbtack for 2 weeks, sent 100 quotes to customers. A customer asked me a question why I did not have any reviews, I responded because I started a new business. Then the person went with someone else. Thumbtack charged me 50$ when the person asked me the question. That's a lot of money for one person to ask a simple question. Thumbtack should let the customer hire the business before changing money. I did not get one client with Thumbtack.

App is stuck in a loop. Re-installed it and it did the same thing. Works ok on the web based platform. I probably cant be a pro until the app ia fixed because mobile is easier than bringing my laptop.

As a small business owner, I thought it would be a good idea to invest $25 for a few leads from this app. Welp, I've wasted a lot of time on the flakiest customers I've ever delt with. I haven't made a cent after a week of use, and now I am receiving leads from all across the country. Save your time and money and stay away.
