Through the Word

This app has truly been a blessing for me and my family. Never before have I had a Bible companion that I could hear a summary of the Word verse by verse. I first heard the audio through a devotion in the You Version of the Bible app. I fell in love with reading the word 1st for myself and then hearing a summary of what I had just read. I was thrilled when I found the app and saw they do that throughout the entire Bible. The update definitely worked out any kinks I had and it keeps your progress. Just an Awesome app!!

I'm glad they made the audio work for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active! It's a cool app :) One question... Why doesn't "Today's Teaching" start your reading plan from the beginning of the plan? If someone is new to the app in the middle of the year, they have to start in the middle of the plan to keep up with the daily program. A better option would be to allow the user to start the plan from the beginning and have the daily program reflect the day THEY'RE on... Please give that option.

I really like this app. Just a few things and I will change my review to 5 stars. When I go to the read the scripture portion of the app it doesn't appear. Second, I don't have the ability to start a reading plan for example if I want to go through Romans starting today. Third and lastly to be able to download that reading plan as the our daily bread app does for offline study. Thanks again this is well thought out and I am blessed to listen and read and get more insight in the word of God.

I love this app. It's one of the most used on my phone & I'm constantly amazed at the depth of teaching packed into 7 - 10 minutes. I tend to use my own reading plan and follow along in whatever book I'm in. Kris' teaching on Revelation was as good as any I've ever heard. Thank you to all of you. I have one problem that I haven't seen any other reviewer comment on. My app has grown to over a gigabyte and I don't even use it for notes. I've also done a lot of my reading through YouVersion so I haven't checked off that many books. I'm not sure why it is taking up so much space. Is there anything I can do about it without clearing data every time I finish a book?

Thank you. Could I ask for one change, could you make it possible to turn off the completion notices, they hang around too long. And a couple of suggestions: choice of Bible version to read, or at least that the scripture on screen matches the version used by the reader. Cloud storage or ability to export journal would mean that we don't have to lose everything when updating our devices. On that point, how do we read our journal entries or revisit our prayers to see what we have learned or what God has done?

I so want to give this app a 5 star because up until two weeks ago functionality was perfect. Now, there is only an error under Read. I use as a supplement in leading my small group and some of the younger attendees have grown so attached to technology the read function really gives them access to the Word when they would otherwise not pick up a book. Will the bugs in this area be fixed? The teachings are fabulous though and the entire concept such a blessing.

I love this app for many reasons. I have only one issue with it, and that is...my plan seems to be scattered all over the Bible and the months, no matter which plan I choose. Without knowing any better, I actually began my study with Revelation. (To be fair, I did know what the end was before I even started. I don't want to be a spoiler...) I have a Samsung Galaxy S7. I have read in other reviews where it was suggested that the user delete the old app and install it again for all the updates. If I did this, would it delete all my progress? I repeat... I do love this app.

I love this app but now I am frustrated because I can't read any more. I don't know if it we an update or what, but for about a week every time I try to go into the read section I get this error: ERROR: The IP key is no longer supported. Please use your access key, the testing key 'TEST' Error cleaning text: TypeError: Cannot call method 'toString' of null! I would give it a 5 star if it was working properly! Please fix so I can get back to enjoying the app.

Right now I can't read the bible part on my studies. Very frustrating because I'm trying to keep up with my progress. Love the devotionals though. They have brought such insight.

This really is an outstanding app to help you understand a specific chapter or read thru an entire book. The recorded lessons are short but excellent teachings by various Bible teachers. The app records your progress which is a great motivational tool if you want to use it to not just read "through the word" but reflect and apply each chapter to your own self. I wish it could sync my progress across devices. And I wish for more translations although Esv is great.

I really love this app and helps me a lot with understanding the Bible. I just have a problem accessing the read part. It does not load and says something about a key. Can you help please.

I love this app. However I'm not able to read the passages due to an error message over the past few weeks. And I can't save my journal entries for future review.

I have been wanting to study the bible more but it is so overwhelming! This is a great way to learn. I listen to several at a time, is there a way to bookmark where I stopped. Thank

For anyone wanting to study God's Word, book by book and chapter by chapter, this app is essential. The teachings are broken down into manageable daily teachings. (Approximately 10 minutes in length) The teaching is concise and on point in accordance with His Truth. It is organized, pointed and efficient.

This is easy and simple. It is great for someone who is hungry to listen and understand God's word and make it personal. Anyone can use this. Just takes minutes each day. You decide how much you want to do. I promise you will get addicted.

Love this app. The messages explaining the days reading are spot-on. The checklist which checks off automatically when you complete a section is kind of cool. And the fact that it encourages you to read the passage right after you hear the message is also pretty neat. And then the devotional questions each day help to keep you focused and moving forward. Wi-Fi, hotspot, any sort of connection is kind of important however to get the audio.

I would have given the app 5 stars but the Bible read section hasn't been working for the last 2 weeks. Please sort this out. Thanks.

To God be the Glory. A great app. I'm still waiting for the New update. I still get the error when I try to follow along on the reading section.

The app opens up but the audio guides do not load. I am unable to listen and enjoy the audio guides. Please help

I want to thank all of you for putting in the resources to make this awesome ministry and application. I hope you would be able to keep the audio of the application playing in the background since whenever I minimize or the screen goes off the audio stops. Thank you

I enjoy this app immensely, I look forward to each days teaching. Lately the app has been crashing, slow startup, or unreaponsive. Force stopping helps sometimes. I am on android 2.4 version.

Faith comes by hearing.. (It is the truth... there is truly something special about hearing God's word out loud while you are reading along) and hearing through the Word !!! I love this ! What a major blessing in my life ! One of my favorite things every day ♡♡♡ I thank God for you 'Through the Word' !

I was looking forward to using it but realized there was no way to change the bible version from ESV to KJV in the reading plan. More than one version should be standard for any Bible app. I attempted to contact Through The Word but I didn't receive a response to my email.

This is a great resource to supplement personal bible study. I have pulled out so many gems from listening. I love how it is set up to listen to the bible study, then read the bible chapter the study was over, and the giving the listener a space for note taking. It's also a perk that there is an option to use the audio bible. These audio bible studies over each chapter range from 7-9 min long. In those short minutes there is a lot of depth. I highly recommend!

I have been looking for an excellent teaching / study bible and I think I have finally found one! The audio discussion, with the pastor's commentary, is extremely helpful in being able to comprehend and digest the word of God. In addition, the journal portion allows you to truly think and submerge yourself into the daily teaching!

This is definitely one of my favorite apps of all time. Very sound and interesting insight and teaching and easily able to understand things in a simple yet profound way.. And has helped me grow in the Lord tremendously. ❤

I do have one issue. my journal entries aren't being saved even after updating. And I'm just curious to know when the book of Job will be ready. I'm reading it now in my bible and would like to hear the audio guide.

This has been exactly what I've been looking for. Everything all in one. Can you add Song of Solomon soon? That's supposed to be my next read.

A good app but after a few months it started to not load up the audio properly, it loads twice and it echoes
