i-nigma QR, Data Matrix and EAN Barcode Scanner for Android
Does one job and does it well! Fast, accurate, reliable, and easy to use -- without unnecessary frills or fiddly extras to get in the way. Wish more apps were written like this one!
Did not work. I tried different kinds of codes. I clicked every where I could including my camera. The program never did anything. Samsung tab 4. Uninstalled.
I used this app exclusively on my iPhone. Was really pleased to find an Android version too now I've switched back for a bit. You can configure it to make no noise when scanning and immediately open links (no confirmation). It's the fastest way to scan and it's really useful for someone like me who tests websites on mobile devices.
Very useful works perfectly with datamatrix... One thing need to add.. Which is get the scanned data into Google sheet or Excel sheet... Thank you developer great job....
Fast. Plan my trips by using Google Maps to plan stops. Use "QR Code Generator" to create QR codes for each trip segment. Use Copy/Paste to create a "trip" WORD document with a QR Code for each trip segment. I can then print my own custom Trip Itinerary for trip and can email to family so they know what my planned routes will be. I can create a document of ANY areas I want to visit and create a QR Code for each stop I want to make. The CR Code I create is for a Google Map location of interest. I can then use my cell phone navigator to get me to desired location. This save a lot of key entry also. I just have to scan the QR Code with app. Great Tool!!
It scans barcodes and qr codes but doesn't produce any results. I scanned just about everything I had, that had a code.
I have used i-nigma for years. It is the most reliable of any I have tried. It is the qr code reader that I recommend to my students for use in class
I-Nigma is one of the best all purpose scanners we have used. It is extremely reliable and being able to read QR and standard barcodes makes it the app we recommend to others above all
Does its job well. Unnecessary permissions = minus a star
Always works well for me & I've used I-NIGMA for over 5 yrs, since my 1st Android phone in early 2011. Just installed in my new Galaxy s7.
Looked up a blog post about QR Readers and this was Top 2 and covered multiple devices. Downloaded and used it with ease.
Reads and produce results before complete code is in the window. Multiple scans of same code gives different results. Did not go to results needed, only went to home page of products.
The only QR reader that work on my Oneplus One, and luckily with the nicest UI. I don't know why this app isn't the #1 search result for 'QR scanner' in the play store, because it's far better than any of the competition.
Brand new Samsung s7, how do I tell it to take a pic of the code. Not my first day, or so I thought. How do we tell it to scan and react. Uninstalling...
This app is the best qr reader I have found. It consistently reads qr code when other apps have problems.
Fast. I wish there was a copy option. Also wish there was an option to let it override the lock screen for scanning (and just require a code for opening in another app)
Love it. I have been converting available maps to QR codes to make it easier for people to get the maps. So far everyone is delighted. Amazingly Fast. Thank you
Fast - Reads most types of barcode with ease and speed.
I've been using I-nigma for years, both to generate QR codes and to read them. I recommend it to my classes for two reasons: the generator prompts you to create a text title, which helps keep your own codes organized, and the reader tells you what the URL is, pausing to let you cancel if it looks like it might be a sketchy site. Plus, it has never failed me on any phone or device I've used it with!
I tested this against QR Droid, and it lost. While both apps work fine for qrcodes, i-nigma just couldn't compete on straight barcodes. I even found one that it consistently got wrong. I also found the sleep mode to be annoying -- the time out is way too short. I do like the i-nigma interface better overall, but QR Droid is more configurable too. I guess I'll keep this around as a backup, but it won't be my go-to reader.
I teach high school students and we use QR codes for many different tasks. I-nigma is the easiest scanner I have found. It scans from liberal angles and in low light. I also use their website for most of my QR creation.
I installed 5 different readers but all of them was not able to read the codes constantly. Fianally I downloaded this and there was NO failuar even pretty bad image if code. I love it!

In HELP it says you can choose between their or phones browser,Mine does not give that option or to turn off location either.
I love the developers of this app!! My camera sux...it doesn't have autofocus....I have spent the last 3 hours installing, unistalling, and researching the internet looking for an app or solution for my cheap ass camera... This is not only the ONLY app that worked but it worked fast it literally popped up the website in like 3 seconds!! I wish this app was the 1st one that came up instead of the 20th!! It didn't come up as a solution on the internet either...I'd give it 100 stars if I could! Thank u!!!
I am using this app since years. I had nokia e71 and from then i used it. Around 5~6 years. None of the app match the speed i-nigma scans qr code.
It scans barcodes and qr codes but doesn't produce any results. I scanned just about everything I had, that had a code.

Everything comes up no search found. When i try the scan app, i get ret results.
It's pretty fast, even recognizes hands-drawn qr codes that have imperfections
I really like this app except that it causes my phone to lock up with almost every use...
Does its job well. Unnecessary permissions = minus a star
Very easy to use, it asks you permission before it goes on line I've had no trouble using it.
Auto Focus won't work on my Samsung Galaxy S4.. In camera mode auto focus works perfectly.. Not with this app.
It could no longer scan like before. What happened, it was the fastest qr code reader i have.
Reads any QR code instantly and reliably. Tolerant to small printed codes.
It extremely good
Not be able to use it just saying mailbox invalid really enter
