This 'Lotus Sutra' is INCORRECT in the chapter listings/index - the DEVADATTA chapter is a separate chapter in and of itself. It is NOT part of the STUPA chapter. THE CORRECT LOTUS SUTRA chapter listings/index has a total of 28 chapters - not 27. If you are publishing something like this - Get it right!

Everytime I try to open the app it crashes and closes so I will be uninstalled

The Lotus Sutra is the perfect example of what happens when unenlightened people fail to understand the true teachings. With all the respect due to the great minds that made this up. It really has nothing to do with the original teachings of Gotama Buddha. At what point will reading this take anyone closer to personal emancipation? The Truth, the Damma can be found in the Four Noble Truths, the Noble eight fold Path and the tales within the Dammapada. There are also a myriad of suttas, commentaries and further understandings available within the Pali Canon. This Lotus Sutra is unfortunately Not the work of an enlightened One, it is possibly the work of mad men, but it is certainly Not anything to do with the teaching of Buddha. Of course this is just my own limited understanding, but we in the 21st century have a unique opportunity to see ALL Buddhist teachings from the past 2500 years and can therefore take a far more rational and objective view. This I am in some small way attempting to do , and I'm seeing 2000 years of misunderstandings, embellishments and superstitions added to something that was in fact a very simple and down to earth Truth that the Lord Buddha was teaching. He advised everyone to question everything that He taught. There's no question that the Truth is in the early teachings, unfortunately the Truth is possibly not that exciting to many folk. So silly stories and superstitions have been added over the millennia to attract more followers and for socioeconomic cultural and political reasons. Yet the Buddha was a Man. Made of flesh and bone. He was born of a woman and died as many men do from a physical illness. The difference is that He understood the nonsenses of the rituals and superstitions of His age, and cut through them to see the Truth. So why since His passing have all these things; rituals/superstitions and foolish beliefs been unnecessarily added to His Truth? The Lotus Sutra is a corruption of the Truth, not the Truth. Anyone with open eyes can see this.

Incomplete and crashing. Not worth it.

What i see looks good, but it would be nice to be able to bookmark where one left off in their reading.
