দেবদাস

দেবদাস শরৎচন্দ্র চট্টোপাধ্যায় রচিত একটি বাংলা উপন্যাস। ১৯০১ সালে রচিত হলেও দেবদাস প্রথম প্রকাশিত হয় ১৯১৭ সালের ৩০ জুন। প্রকাশের পরে পরেই ভারত উপমহাদেশের বেশ কয়েকটি ভাষায় অনূদিত হয়। শরৎচন্দ্র তখন খ্যাতিমান সাহিত্যিক। দেবদাস উপন্যাস অবলম্বনে উপমহাদেশে নির্মিত হয়েছে অসংখ চলচ্চিত্র।

উপন্যাসে দেবদাস তৎকালীন জমিদার বংশের সন্তান, পার্বতী সাধারণ বাড়ীর মেয়ে ৷ কিন্তু দুজনই দুজনার অন্তরঙ্গ বন্ধু, বিদ্যালয় পড়াশুনা থেকে পুকুড়ে মাছ ধরা প্রত্যেকটি কাজ তারা এক সঙ্গে করত ৷ পার্বতী কিছু ভূল করলে দেবদাস তাকে মারত , তবুও এদের সম্পর্ক বন্ধুর মতই ছিল ৷
