SoundRecorder for Android for Android
If you need SoundRecorder on your Nexus 5 or any other device, install this app.
People got confused by name, it has to be called SoundReplayer or VoiceRepeater or something. This app is definetly not intendended to save or keep track recordings.
Where is the sound file, were suppose to enjoy our apps, not get frustrated trying to find a basic function, poor effect from the people associated with this app
And stop working. Not reliable.
Just downloaded it and didn't work at all!
Where did the recorded file save? I recorded an audio. Now I want to play that again. How can I do it? There is no option which can take me to the list of recordings.
Useless
Absolutely love it... Very good effort.
Thanks admin
I hate this recording thing so bad
This app is no use
Just like the description says, this is a port of a basic function that normally is called from other apps; what this person did was bring it out as a standalone app without changing or adding anything. That being said, there is no customization that you can do to this, it will record and that is it. You will need a file manager to find and use the recorded file. This isn't for everyone, but if you need a bare bones sound recorder this will do it. The file is stored on the SD card or Main Storage.
I don't hate this and I see many people have given it 5 stars. However there are no instructions. So I'm left to assume that it must be only good for one recording at a time. If this is so its not what I was looking for and so I will uninstall it. However I will check back to see if instructions get added. Thanks
When i record my lyrics it's so yusfull
Stores recordings in root of external storage. Should store in SoundRecorder/ instead.
It doesn't work in text message

Need a update
I did several test recordings and can't find them! No settings option either. Worthless!
The app is just hidden and requires some trickery to be opened.
It's a wastage of time

The recordings get saved in my sd card. No doubt about that. Just one flaw about this app - The recording quality is too low and there's no option for changing recording formats. Would have given 5 if the option would have been added in futher updates.

Found the file in the root of my internal memory but not associated with any player. Would like an easy way to name, file and replay the audio.
Hit done button and now audio is gone
Where does the file get saved?

Don't usually flame anything but this is so bad - wherever the file is I can't find it. Uninstalling immediately.

Best best
I installed it and made a test recording. When I stopped the recording I had 2 choices: hit 'done' or hit 'discard'. I chose 'done' and the application closed. No clue as to where the file, if there is one, can be found. No information at all. No chance to name the file, or to find it. Please don't tell me to look in the root of my nonexistent SD card.
Don't understand why there is no easy way to access recorded media. Overall works great, just have to go through the file manager to dig out the file ...
But still can't find where the file goes to. All I wanna do is record a sound and send it in SMS :S
For all the users who cannot find the recorded files: look for them on the root of your SD card.
This is a simple application to record sound and don't have adds
What folder is the media stored in?

M using moto e(1st gen) running lollipop 5.1....Serves the purpose....low space consuming app(a plus point indeed)....Files can b found in the internal storage but not inside any folder(no problem with that)....2 things i would like to say....i)an option for storing the files in the internal or external storage requires to b added, ii)saving format is .3gpp...providing an option for saving it in .amr or .wav might be helpfull..
