This app has literally kept me sane and on track through book 2 of a 3 book contracted deadline. Don't know what I would have done without it. Fantastic little app!

This app is incredible for people like me. I hate working, and I spend nearly all my time procrastinating. But this app has reminders that help set me on track and with its quotes and goals, it definitely improved my writing in the few weeks that I've had it. (Also the reward system is a cute touch) I 100% recommend this app to people (I already got a few of my friends to get it) and I'd love to see what new features you'll add next. Some suggestions maybe: -a pause button on the timer? Its been mentioned quite a bit in the other reviews but... -a place to write in the app? When I dont have my computer with me, I need to open a new app to write in. I dont trust Google Docs after it deleted multiple of my files, and Wattpad isnt the best app to type in. I don't feel like getting any other apps so somewhere to type here would be greatly appreciated. -a way to back up your data so you don't lose it and so that you can work on multiple devices -and... that's about it. Again, I love this app, and I hope that you'll make it even bettet than it already is :) Have a great day!

D70%
by D####:

I love it The only downside is that there isn't an option to backup files. So, if you get a new phone or something, you have to start from scratch. Otherwise it's very usual. Please add that backup Feature

I like the app. It's not as flexible as I would like, there's no real rewards for the rewards system, there should be a option to track something other than word count. I have no idea what the word count for a project is when I start writing but I would love it if we could toggle between chapters and word count. Sometimes when I sit down I want to get to the next chapter but don't make it. It would be great in this situation to be able to switch to Word count do I can track how many words I've written instead and vice versa. I've deleted the app before, I really didn't like it, but I'm trying it now with similar apps to see how functional it is in comparison to similar apps.

by B####:

I like it and it does help, but I would like it if there was a sort of delete for a project. I had to stop a few thing and the only way to get it off was to "achieve" the project, which I didn't actually do. Having a delete option may encourage giving up, but when you need to stop something, trust me, you want the option.

Nice and convenient. It lets me set a reminder daily to write, which is very convenient for me as I do kinda need a push. It also reminds me of my goal, and continually tells me to do as I already decided I'd do. The thesaurus is very useful and was a nice little bonus of the timer.

This app is such a great app. It encourages to write but also encourages self discipline. It really it awesome. I highly recommend this for anyone who struggles to write everyday without getting bored or frustrated. I have the horrible trait of starting something then once halfway though. This really helped me get into a routine. Only thing i dont like is the inability to delete certain projects. It really bums me out. All in all a really good app!

This is my go to writing app. I love that I can measure my progress across multiple progress and stay motivated with the timer function and reward system. There are a lot of gimicky apps and software applications for writers, but this is an app that you can tell has been designed by a writer for writers. Every writer works differently, but this is a tool that works for me and I definitely recommend it!!!

Y70%
by Y####:

I got this app when I started writing a book. And it kept me on track in ways I didn't expect. I love the little prompts that keep you from quitting! The only complaint is that you have to cycle back and forth between the word processor and the app. It's a writer-centric time keeper and word counter. Just what I needed, but if it could be linked to a word processor, it would be awesomer.

Update: I've been using this app for 2 years now, and regularly recommend it to writers, bloggers, and students. There are no ads and no distractions. If I could donate, I would! It calculates everything for me. After a writing session, I tell the app my new word count, and it tells me how much I wrote. At the end of every night, I have it recalculate the words per day I'll need tomorrow to reach my deadline. The rewards are a fun little bonus, but the best reward is working in small bursts of energy that make me want to do one more session. My only suggestion is the addition of a manual daily reset time option for those of us who regularly craft until after midnight.

I have been on the hunt for a decent, yet simple writing app and this is perfect. I'm working on a novel but I frequently suffer with writers block, but this helps to keep me motivated, especially with earning guavas for treats and daily reminders. Only thing I would like to see on the app is a pause / stop button for the timer.

This is essential for any college student who hates writing or who spends a lot of time writing. You can easily keep track of all of your projects and prioritize which projects you should be working on right now and which can be put on the back burner. The completion bar is a very good motivator and is useful for more visual people. This app helped me finish my degree basically.

I really love how useful this app is. I've written more using this app than I have in a long time. It's great for helping me reach my goal, and I love the timer that tells me how long I should write for. Plus the timed breaks help me not get too off track.

Nice and simple. Wanted something to track my word war progress through out nanowrimo and keep up with my scenes. Does just what I need and doesn't fluff it out for extras. Would like a back up system incasebi loos the phone though

This app has helped me track my writing and get back into writing. I would struggle to write once a week because I procrastinate, but using this has honestly helped me so mich. I've not missed a day of writing in over a week and that makes me very excited to keep at it.

D70%
by D####:

I love this app and it helps me stay on track with my writing. My only beef with it is the alarms. They're easy to just snooze and I don't particularly like that. Maybe if they vibrated constantly until you put it in a special code or something. Or just the code part. Or if It snoozed itself and then came back after 5 minutes. I don't know.

It's a nice app but I would love more flexibility with the goals. I write based off pages or chapters.... it's too hard to write an 8 page chapter and then go back and count every word. Plus, the lengths of my chapters vary so it's not practical to create a word goal. I also do not know how many words will make up my entire novel. So in the end, this app ended up not being very helpful for me.

Delivers. Accidently deleted whole review on tablet and I am too tired to write whole thing again. Exellent product, love guavas. Would like flexible timer and info backed up properly. Would recommend to others. Edit: Can adjust length of timer. Was able to view my info when downloaded app on tablet and phone, though I don't know how to sync info between the two.

D70%
by D####:

I've been using this app for over a year now, and I feel it needs more variation. I don't always want to use the timer. Sometimes, I want it to prioritize my word count goal. Time me until I hit it. Let me end timers early. I don't feel like I use the treats, tbh. I used to use it to remind me to have a life and talk to my family, because chances are if I have like 20 guavas I'm neglecting something irl. I'd like to see this app do more, like schedule starting a project ahead of time.

Needs a way to back up data in case of loss. Fantastic app though to keep track of my word count progress. Loads better than old fashioned way of looking through properties in Word or Open Office and keeping track in my mind. Love the dictionary and thesaurus features. Would like to have a 'Finished Project' button to show a project has been finished early. Got my 3rd novel done way ahead of schedule. Love this app so much. Thank you.

EDIT: I changed my score to a one because you can't back up your data. Even letting us store an email would help so much. A helpful app that will help you improve your writing habits. There are some neat features like a built-in thesaurus, dictionary, and word salad generator. If you drag your feet on writing projects, or if you're not sure if you can write, just try it. ☺

I really love it because it reminds that I need to write my book and that helps me since I am very forgetful and tend to forget to write sometimes. It also helps set goals and record my progress, which helps me.

It does what it says and it's very helpful to keep myself accountable. I've used it for a few days and I love it because I worked on a single project. I'm not happy with the idea that I can't back up my data. I LOVE the random writing quotes!! I check the app even when I'm doing other stuff just to read them. And bask in the glory of my great WPD average. I LOVE the reminders. I love the writing chart. The timer also looks simple and cool. I would be interested in a PC version that would synchronize with it. And of course backup because I'd love to have it as my main tracker. It's a great app. Super useful for writers who still have a day job and have to make each writing session count.

This app has totally lit a fire in me! I've never felt so motivated to write. This app really hit the sweet spot for holding me accountable while keeping me motivated and feeling great. I love that it does all the words per day calculations for me so I can just hit the target without any thought. It's a gorgeous app, love the color scheme and the cute icons. I can't wait to earn some more guavas! Two more until I can buy that dress I've been eyeing at Nordstrom...????

Ok, so i'm not going to iterate all the good points everyone else is making. This makes my life so much easier. Especially the widgets. I was looking for something like the NaNoWriMo format that would give me constant graphical view of my progress. With the treats system, I'm really loving it. Except..... This little girl I know threw my phone at the wall and the phone died. I'm not so sad to lose all my downloads as I am to lose my logs. It would be a real LIFE SAVER IF WE COULD BACKUP OUR LOGS.

Works perfectly. Not a bunch of fluff. Exactly what I didn't know I was looking for. I use a timer daily anyhow and record my words to reach a word count goal. I track the days I write. This makes it easier and more fun. I could do without the little reward system, seems pointless, but the ability to see my previous logs, categorize by project, see what days I write and don't, see my word counts on a graph, use a thesaurus and have a timer all in one app? And there is more to it? This is awesome. Thanks!

I love that there's an app that helps me keep track and accountable for my writing. The layout is great and I love the quotes. The only drawback is you can't pause the timer. What if I have to poop? My mom needs me? Someone's knocking on my door??? Including a pause instead of just throwing all my time progress away would have made this a 5.

The app is great as long as you want to track your writing in a single, specific way. Personally, I would love to see more modes and more options. I don't want to use the timer all the time, but the app focuses heavily on it. It would be AMAZING if you didn't HAVE to define a word count for a project (because who really knows exactly how many words it's going to take to accomplish their writing dreams? Not me. Not even close.) Would be nice to have a single daily writing goal for working on multiple project

I wanted to write down a book, but my procrastinating habits won't let me do it. Then this comes around, and changes me for good. With its daily reminders, and informative graphics and the best, the motivational quotes just was the driving force to complete my first draft in record time! I congratulate Team Guavabot for this superb app, and give them my best wishes, and acknowledgement in the book!

I absolutely love this app. Allvthe features are amazing. I would happily give it 5 stars if it added a pause button to the timer. Seriously though, what if I need to go do something in the middle of my session? I don't want to throw away all that progress. Also I find the reward system unnecessary, but I can see how other people would like it. Maybe an option to turn that feature off? So that I can use the app for its ither features without getting arbitrary rewards. Besides that, it's absolutely amazing!

The first time I tried using this app, I got too carried away with designing the guavas and ended up doing more playing than writing. But I gave it a second try and it does exactly what I want: calculates my word per hour speed. I've used it for a week and have watched my speed steadily increase with intentional word sprints. Good stuff, this app! I recommend it for writers who just need to get the words on paper.

This app is exactly what I needed to get me started writing again on a regular basis. It lets you set reminders write for specific times and days. It helps you track your word count and you can see where you were the most productive versus less productive. Plus I love the writing log feature so I can get a sense of where I left off in the story. I do wish you could keep chain going but not count certain days. For instance I don't write on Sundays and some Saturdays so then it shows I broke my writing streak

So I downloaded this app when I was in a very bad case of writer's block. Not only did this encourage me to write and at got me out of the writer's block, but the built-in dictionary, thesaurus, and word salad have definitely improved my writing. This app is responsible for helping me so much and I am so happy that I downloaded it

The Timer doesn't work. It works perfectly when inside the app, however when I switch to my writing app -but writeometer still works in the background- the timer stops. Fix this issue and it will be perfect. Thanks for that amazing app :)

R70%

I like the idea of adding a backup option, maybe sync to Google Drive/ Dropbox. I'd also like it to be easier to change the timer. Some times I do a 10 min sprint, 5 min break, 15 min sprint, and dislike exiting the timer to change it.

R70%

So straightforward yet versatile. It's my favorite way of tracking my progress. I especially love the widget! The only thing that would make it better, for me, would be if there were a Windows app and it could sync the data, so I could use the app on all my devices, but I realize that's kind of a huge request! ETA Sept 7: I would love to be able to remove the timer button from the widget. I don't use it but I keep accidentally hitting it, and it doesn't have any confirmation box.

I just want to have a cloud option so we can upload our data and not lose anything. I will be really sad when I have to get a new phone and I can't back it up. Knowing me I probably won't install it again if this happens just because I'd be sad for a bit then I'd forget about it and eventually not care when I do remember. It's more my own problem but I would love to have a cloud option

N70%

Not a bad writing meter app, but I am so disappointed that you can't change the color theme. The yacky green just isn't my thing. I would prefer if the reward system included theme colors you could earn or something. :) But the ability to purchase themes even would earn this an additional star from me.
