What are users saying about Think Dirty

I love this app. I was so happy when it became available on the Play Store. The only thing is that the keyboard is kind of laggy or something.. like when you type in the search bar, some letters don't even go through the first time. It can be kind of frustrating. Hope they fix it soon!

M70%
by M####:

I have scanned Johnsons baby products a few top of the line deodorants and 3 brands of shampoo NONE of them came up with info?... is this app made for Australia or is it for a another country? Epic fail for me

T70%
by T####:

I love the concept of this app, but it really isn't functional. About 80-90% of the products I've scanned aren't in the database, and these are just common shampoos and facial products from the grocery store or pharmacy. It looks like the app was developed then abandoned.

E70%
by E####:

The app is great.. when it works... which isn't often. Most of the products I try and scan are not recognised, whenever I try and type in the search bar every letter I type it's constantly searching, this is very annoying, just let me finish typing. All in all I find it a great effort using this app

Y70%
by Y####:

Awesome UI, it's a shame it *literally* recognizes nothing. The only thing it hit on was a Neutrogena Body Spray. That's it. Hoping that they expand the database because this app has so much potential!!

T70%
by T####:

This app allowed me to understand what was in my shampoo, conditioner, and even other household products. Even if they did have the brand I used the app allows you to recognize the chemical terms so when you check you products at home you can check if you products have the chemical listed. I love the app and have done a tutorial on my facebook page, told all my natural hair friends and family. This is and will be very useful.

T70%
by T####:

The app found many of my major brand cosmetics (shampoo, face wash, etc.) on first try! It did what I wanted, which was to quickly tell me which ingredients are harmful and why. The app gives very poor ratings to products that contain ingredients like parabens or "fragrance" (which, it explains, could mean a whole host of things). It rated all my cosmetics terribly, as I expected, because even if they don't have parabens they include "fragrance." Tried another app that was rated more highly and this app contained many products that the other didn't.

S70%
by S####:

Love what they are trying to do. But only a few of the things i scan actually come up. Too many unanswered ones!!! Maybe when they have done more investigating into more products!

T70%
by T####:

I have a wide range of store bought products and very few were recognised on the app. Eg. Johnsons , Dove, simple to name a few. Not impressed. Could be great once properly established.

T70%
by T####:

Like the App since then I have switch to less harmful toothpaste and Shampoos and deodorants. Need better quality of life from this day forward.

T70%
by T####:

The vast majority of products in our bathroom failed to scan. Maybe it's better if you live in USA or Canada?

T70%
by T####:

App is glitchy and doesn't seem to have many common products in its database. Great concept but app needs work.

T70%
by T####:

I love it! guys if someone is reading this and there's a product that is not in their database there's an option to add it i have submitted 3 products and gave me results back

V70%
by V####:

It's a good app, but not all products are found in the system and the ability to submit products for review seems to be broken. I hope they fix it soon.

F70%
by F####:

So far I am very pleased with this app. Only old makeup products have not been found.

T70%
by T####:

Lacks accuracy of ingredients and amounts of ingredients which is important to the over all rating. Basic understanding of ingredients and what truly makes a product organic.

S70%
by S####:

This was incredibly annoying to use. It wouldn't scan half of the barcodes I tried and the ones it could scan "weren't in the database".

G70%
by G####:

This app did not work when I scanned a product!

T70%
by T####:

Literally every product I have scanned so far has come up not found

T70%
by T####:

Scanned 9 items it only had info on 1

N70%
by N####:

Having more users will make the app more effective because the more people who submit products and ingredients the stronger the app database will be

Z70%
by Z####:

Finally available on Android! Helps me track all the chemicals and eliminate them.

T70%
by T####:

I won't go beyond the start screen unless you allow using Google oath to register. Why do you require using email and password?

T70%
by T####:

Doesn't work for like 90% of products I scanned...

W70%
by W####:

VERY DISAPPOINTED The concept is good; however, I scanned over 25 products and only 2 products were found.

T70%
by T####:

I'd say that about 80% of my products were able to scan in and I understand that it's still in it's infancy. Really cool app.

T70%
by T####:

Could be a great app but didn't scan any products that I tried. Must be made for US market.

I70%
by I####:

I really love making healthy changes , this makes it easy , just need a food one now!

T70%

T70%

Doesn't recognize ANY of my products. I understand its a fairly new app, however, they should have taken more time to add more products prior to releasing it. I started submitting all the products it didn't recognize, even the most generic brands, but realized why the heck am I doing all the work... Great concept though. I'll download it again when it's actually useful.

I70%
by I####:

I like this app. It's in its teething stages but I understand that, and with time I really hope the database will grow. I've found quite a number of products I have (or had) on the database, and with regards to the products it doesn't yet have, I've discovered that it needs a decent connection to submit new items. If there is any way any of us can help contribute to the further development of this app I'd really like to hear it, as the knowledge it imparts about what we put on our bodies is priceless and I'd love to help.
