Story Dice for Android
How to prevent the screen from getting off? If I touch it to avoid going black, the dices change..
Description says you have options, but I can't find a menu. Two dice appear and when I touch the screen they roll. How do I access the options? More stars when I figure this out...
The description says up to ten dice can be rolled at once, but I see no way to change the default two dice. No menu or anything, and any touch just re rolls the same two dice. Not as described on the label.
It works, not on my 2.3 G'zOne, but fine on N7 & G'Note. The rolling of the dice, however, is not catalyzed much less influenced by analog shaking your phone. It is just a screen tap. Digital pseudo-randomness. Nonetheless, this the only app of its type and does work. Give it a try. Developers, please improve or compete with this by adding: analog randomness input, movable dice (sliding across table top), programmable dice (selectable icons per face), 3D graphics, animation, bumping.
Only 2 pictures on the dice prompted me to write a story I had a rattling in my head for a little while and that was exact prompt needed to get things rolling. Excellent!
fun, helpful and addictive. I would like to see the ability to add more icons, either from the company or user created
The symbols are abstract enough to allow my own creative writing juices to flow, yet concrete enough for my kids to tell stories from.
...it needs some options such as portrait mode(forcing landscape on people is very annoying) and maybe some genre specific option for us genre writers. I'd be happy with the portrait mode option for starters though, it REALLY is necessary in my opinion.
So much fun!
Simple and powerful

I didn't see any way to change the default number of dice. After emailing the maker, they suggested using the home button. I don't have a home button per se, but i tried swiping down from the top and that did the trick. If you can't see the settings icon on screen, try that.
