AppMonster Pro Backup Restore for Android
USED TO love it. Trying to switch to a 6.0.1 Marshmallow, had to pay $3.50 for AppMonster 5, it can't see my old backups. Starting over from scratch again...
Only some paid apps were backed up on Samsung galaxy pocket neo without root, with root it worked for more but some apps file sizes were upto half the installed app's folder app size (e.g. Profiteer app was half the original size) Needs user selected backup only selection (no system, or bloatware etc) export backups to compressed archive for off device's backup - mabye even a PC app to move all backups except latest 2 backups of device (USB App for use in Internet Cafés etc) Don't see external SD SGSII
Sucks, hasn't been updated in years don't waste your money!!!!?
Needs update
Bought it and no holo dark theme; plus rate nag.
Exactly what I was looking for.
Put this as a factory installed app on every android on Earth. Everyone would like it because that way, to reinstall apps simply go to your sd card because what you see today in the store may be gone tomorrow. 12/15/16 i have lg x power and it says not supported. why?
No batch backup facility. Despite advertising claims and even reviews (which clearly only recycle the adverts!), it will only allow backups to be made individually. It'll allow you to multi-select, and share the multiple-selected packages or uninstall them - but not back them up! So, if you need to restore a whole phone of apps, you have to do them one at a time. This is such a glaring and obvious omission, it seems clear to me that this is to prevent its usage as a piracy tool. "New feature: export backups as a single file and import backups from this single file" - outrageous lies! :) :) :)

my downloaded apps are not backup.
AppMonster Pro
Not working after kitkat update. All backups fail and backup folder on sd card cannot be created. Galaxy s4 Edit: Works as before now with no issues on S4 and S5 Lollipop
Used to swear by this app, but now doesn't work with Lollipop and developer's site says the following about Lollipop support: "Remember, you purchased (if you) this app 'as it is', I never promised or sold a life long support, because it is not possible for this low price." Sad because I really loved this app.
Not acceptable! I'm not buying a whole new app, just because I've updated my phone. I paid for this app only a couple of months ago and there was no warning it was about to be unuseable!
Very entertaining. Hours and hours of fun. Puzzles quite easy, which is great. I'll play for sure more games of this company.
A life savior that's able to automatically backup each and every app you install. Just wish it were able to let root users backup system apps as well, just in case. And HI-Res icons for the list of apps wouldn't hurt, as it is list looks crappy
Thanx.
goood
Luv it!!
It should support (manual) backup to pc because eventually space will be full and Max Versions is 2 does not work... I got way more backups of most of my apps unnecessary occupying space. Please fix.
First thing I load on everything! That being said, every time I'm disrupted by a "request" to either rate it now or later, my practice is to remove a star. This only begins after the first "reminder" and I've responded to it. To all yo clever programmers who can build into your great software a tickler subroutine, figure out a cancellation routine that can tell when we've done it and express gratitude! This is still the very first pgm I load onto any new device, now a note 4 & Nook HD+.
Where stays the Lollipop ? When using a backup from TB it works perfect, please update the app for Android 5.x.x
Though it was a Great app I am very happy to use this it is such a big help!!!!! But did not save any apps on my new S5.update 2/9/15 will not work constant problem with backing up on the device I can move to SD if it worked..
One would think a App Developer who already charged for the PRO version of This App would allow migration to the 5.0 Version called AppMonster Cloud Backup and include all the same features of this excellent app in the new version. Nope!! Zero Value Now!!
the first app I install on any new android phone/tablet. besides the main use cases, it also serves as a handy launcher for recently added apps that otherwise get lost in the app drawer. great utility and love the interface!!
I noticed after doing a factory reset on my phone, the monster app left a backup file on my SD card. I thought after reinstalling the app and opening it, it would automatically install all the apps I had before the reset. But it was asking to start a new back up on the few apps I already had. I couldn't understand why it wasn't recognizing the back up file it left, I clicked on one of the folders backed up by the app, (rev) is the apk that reinstalls the backup app. This app is awesome!!!
Bought pro version to copy all apps to another device. The export file was taking ages to create. Eventually was faster to install from scratch. Waste of time and money.
It used to be my favorite app ,for a long time. Smart phones got smarter but Appmonster gotten dumber. It won't save the Apps on the SD Card since I got my Samsung Galaxy S4, ( 1 years ago ).
Does what I need it to do.
my downloaded apps are not backup.
My Samsung Galaxy Note 4 lollipop

Been using it for years!!
Latest revision is supposed to be moving files to new backup folder. All 3 of my devices are stuck at various points. Uninstalling and reinstalling seems the only option to get it to function again. Had to the same again after update to Kitkat.
I can not backup protected apps anymore. This was working before. Appmonster is allowed to get root and still falls to do the backup. Edit: I wrote an email to developer, but after giving me some general advice, he stopped responding. I offered any help to resolve this. He seems not to be interested. Think twice before buying, support of this app is not good. Edit 2 (after dev's response): I have Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 5, both have only internal storage and it does not work. GNex is not even on KitKat. And root app can write to external storage.
The classic backup is better, but then the Backup menu does not work and the apps have no indication they are backed up. The default backup has issues with restoring apps, where Appmonster crashes. Also, take out any leading periods from file names, this is done in the default backup, if you take away the individual folders it would work better, most likely. I agree with others the white and light grey are too close on some phone's, please use more distonguished colors between what needs to be backed up.

Backup, send (dropbox, Bluetooth, text, all etc.), share, reinstall, pretty much do anything you want with an app or apk. Best of the best, highly recommended.
You removed the View Backups (or versions) option from the menu when you tap on the app in main screen. Please put that back in the menu! Now we have to open up the backed up app folder from the top right corner of the main screen to see them! A lot more steps now! Plus you took the dark theme away, please bring that back or at least give us the option in the settings for dark or light theme.

This application had one job -- to maintain a backup prior to a mystery update -- and it failed. Within seconds of installing a poor Firefox update, Appmonster overwrote the prior backup with a new one, preventing me from rolling back the update. If it cannot permit the rolling back of updates, or offer manual backups of specific versions of specific apps all this is is a memory-sink.
