Thingiverse for Android
It has a lot of problems that the site has: poor collection control interface (no search, no edit/remove), pagination issues, can't include print details when uploading a make. Pics regularly don't load, making browsing impossible. Just a subpar app for a mediocre site for a fantastic 3d repo. Thingiverse needs to hire a UX engineer.
Like the app for browsing, but it certainly is fickle. Search doesn't work all that great most of the time. Why do we only get a small subset of our collections? Not having access to all collections is extremely frustrating. :-/
Only shows Java errors and then does nothing. Don't waste your time. Definitely the worst app I have ever installed!
User session times out resulting in many errors and "lost" collections, have to kill app to fix. Links in dashboard do nothing - what's the point of links that do nothing you idiots! Infiscroll is poorly implemented. Too many issues in this app such a shame it's the best group for 3d printing but they clearly have no concern for android users.
Seems like an afterthought. The website is good. I'm an avid user, with many makes and severally designs. However, this feels like the product of someone saying, "These days you have to have a mobile app. Let's toss one out there, even if it isn't production ready." Images often don't load. Your profile/login gets lost/forgotten so when you go to add something to one of your collections, the collection list is blank until you close the app and come back in, but by then you may not know how to get back to the thing you wanted to add in the first place.
Thisnwould make an awsome app for 3d object makers. However this app hangs. Images do not load... Makes it very frustrating. Please update and remove bugs
UI is total crap.. Images take ages to load, even on WiFi. Also, why can't I remove things from my collections?
I was expecting more. I was kind of disappointed after making an account to find this out. After all, the app does say that it's used to create.
Works but wont load any picture. I keep getting this weird error on start up that says length=22 index=24. So i still have to use the site to see what a thingie looks like
It's a pain to take pictures and then upload to a pc and then upload to the thingiverse website. This app makes it super simple to upload pictures of my printed designs and "I Made it!" Photos.
Images don't load half the time and now I always get the TLS parse error. It's unusable.
I used to use this all the time and it was a good app to find stuff and save it to print later but lately the search function is not working at all which makes it kind of a pain since you can't go through collections in the app
Perhaps I've missed something, but there doesn't seem to be an option to download and the "print now" button does nothing. The app seems to offer nothing more than browsing. But again, perhaps I've missed something.
I like this app but unfortunately when my Internet connection is poor it always forgets my username and password every time! If you can fix this you'll get five stars
It needs some work. At least 85% of all thing photos don't load half the time, whether you're on cellular or Wi-Fi. The desktop website never has issues loading. It would be really nice to be able to browse things on my phone, but photos not loading makes it fairly useless, so I always have to go to the website instead. It is nice for getting text notifications about my things, however (good if you're vain like me).
The search function never returns any results making the app entirely useless.
Would like more ways to filter and for it to always load the results but for free it's great. Funny reading the people complain about free stuff haha
Lousy app, better to just use the website. Search doesn't work, Java shows many errors, and links to things doesn't open in the app.
I've never been able to access my collections, or add something to a pre-existing collection. Other than that, works fine for me.
Can't access the app as it keeps saying invalid email no matter what I try
Please make links i clicked in app open in app, not in browser. It's so annoying. Otherwise super cool app, thanks!
Great app. But you can not download any of the print files. So pointless basically.
I wish it had the same functions as the website such as forum views for asking questions and replying.
Tried to sign up for an account. Put in all my info and when it was time to hit finish, it keeps telling me "error, please resubmit" grrrrr
I was expecting more. I was kind of disappointed after making an account to find this out. After all, the app does say that it's used to create.
I kept getting Java script errors. Also the website is more fully featured. Maybe this is good if you have a maker bot?
It is very common to get error messages. Limited usability. It is very slow to load. Even though you get messages of forums you can't open them.
Its cool to be able to browse, comment, like and share designs. I want to be able to download designs directly to my phone. And thingview from mobile as well. There's some good social aspects here but there's a lot of features missing yet IMO.
I like the app and use it often, however it really needs to be fixed because pictures don't load half the time and you can't even read posts in the groups but you can still see them in your dashboard.
I have a ton of collections. I can only see about 20 of them. Still not fixed. C'mon makerbot!
Not all of us use a Makerbot. For us it sucks browsing the app, adding to collection, then going to the browser on our phone to download it from the website. Simplify things and add a download thing button. Also chnage the "download thing" link on the website back. I hate that downloads the whole zip file now.
Why doesn't this run on tablets? I can't think of a good reason why this would be restricted to phones, and not take advantage of the larger screen size of a tablet.
Works great... Would like to see a way to upload makes from mobile.
Please, fix bug with partial list of my collections when i try add some thing to my collection. It show only part of my collections, not all...
Please fix the app I can no longer search and it takes foooooooor ever to load now
App is OK, but it times out a lot, even on wifi. Still times out and throws Array exceptions.
But it's disappointing that most of the photos don't load on the Android version.
Search for a product that i know is on there and nothing loads, 0 search results. Bloody ridiculous.
There is no good reason users should have to sign in to browse. Free ThingBrowser works fine without the need to sign in.

Love Thingiverse, however the app is pointless. If you try and load up something, it just hangs there and times out. This happens whether I'm running on 4G data or on incredibly fast broadband. Its frustrating, as I find myself having to use my laptop instead of my phone if I wish to use Thingiverse at all. Makes the app entirely redundant...
