Calgary Transit for Android
Wrong time for summer
It will switch from my favorite route to the opposite direction (bus same route#) and so the times get messed up and I'll miss the bus. It will be fine for awhile then just randomly switch (for example go from showing times for EB which is what I want to switching one day to NB and I don't notice until I'm waiting passed the time it says it will be there). This causes frustration.
The app is so often grosely inaccurate it almost serves no purpose. You can check bus times but the GPS is almost always wrong and some buses just dont show on the map. Only good for checking schedules in which you still need to be early for because some drivers do not use wait stops. Also trip planning has taken me on longer trips than necessary to avoid a ten minute walk.
Unreliable just as much as the transit service. Real time updates are do not show how far behind schedule a bus actually is. It just resets to the next scheduled time. Since Calgary got this app I find that buses do not stick to their schedule. And can show up to 20min late
This app is completely useless. It is not reliable in the least any bus I've had to take is consistently 10 minutes or more longer than what the app says. I have stood in -25 for hours on end and made numerous complaints to 311. If I didn't have to rely on calgary transit as much as I do, I don't think I would ever recommend or even download this app!! Absolutely ridiculous!!
Waste of time. Buses dont come when the app says. I constantly miss buses or they never show up. Currently stuck at anderson station because of this app telling me a bus would arrive at an imaginary time. Terrible for planning anything
The scheduled times are wildly inaccurate. And if by 2-3 minutes it is fine. But most of time it's 7-15 minutes off. 9 out of 10 times the bus/LRT would be off by a significant amount of time. You're better off grabbing the schedule when you get onto the bus.
After two weeks of waiting 30+ minutes for buses that are apparently 10 minutes away I give up. You're better off consulting the stars or reading tea leaves for an accurate bus time. Google maps is more accurate.
The biggest problem with this app is that it's not reliable at accurately locating your nearest transit stop. It sometimes displays arrival times for a transit stop that's nowhere near the stop you're actually at. If you're not paying close attention to the stop name, it's easy to get incorrect information and miss your bus. The only way to get around this is to manually click your stop on the map and select "Connecting Lines," an annoying workaround. I think this issue is the reason why so many users find this app wildly inaccurate; it's not, it's just displaying arrival times for the wrong stop.
Won't recognize that my gps is on (high accuracy). Can't plan in real time. Devs refuse to respond to emails. This app is awful. Would give zero stars if possible.
Terrible at what it does. It gives me the times of different stops when I try to click on my own stop schedule, the bus tracking is off by as much as five minutes, and it rarely ever places my GPS properly. I have missed ghost buses, my actual buses haven't shown up, buses arrive anywhere between 5 minutes early to five minutes late without any warning from the app - even on wifi.
I used to like it but now you have to be connected and can't use it offline. Extremely disappointed! Will be looking at a different app to use. Boo!!!
Never accurate. Will tell you a bus is 2 minutes away and then itvwont come for 15 minutes or it will show you missed it and give the time for the next one.
It's actually pretty good; works pretty much everywhere in Calgary near a bus. The bus times aren't accurate, but they're not accurate on Google Maps or through texting either.
This app is never accurate!! It made me wait 30mins in a snowy day. Very disappointed.
The app is just as unreliable and unpredictable as the trains and busses. The notifications for bus stop changes are tiny and you won't know until you see a tiny paper down the street at the wrong stop to indicate the change way after the fact. The drivers will then ignore you completely and leave you stranded. Just another way for yyc transit to disappoint it's riders.
I wish the app was more accurate. It doesnt show wherr the bus is for the GPS. It sometimes does, but not as often as I would like. It would also be nice if there was times when you look up a route.
Have missed my bus endless times because of this app. For people who actually need to get somewhere on time, use anything BUT Calgary transit.
Seems to be working now, at least for me. Make sure you don't accidentally place the dot for your location somewhere else, or you'll be seeing times for that location. I've been using it again for over a month and generally it's pretty accurate. I often use Goggle maps in conjunction with this.
Not accurate. Can be waiting at the bus stop and seemingly "miss" a bus because it has supposedly shown up. Not worth the download
Always wrong wrong wrong. The news that the same management is to be given more system to run can only be met with incredulity.
GPS arrival times are inaccurate, bus keeps driving past me when aim to be at the stop with minutes to spare.
Whenever I try to plan a trip, it thinks I have a time machine. Arrive at the station at 12:18, then catch the train that arrives at your station at 12:06. Arrive at your destination at 2 minutes after you left.
It's useless. For example: it Tells me there is no way for me to get down from the West kerby C-train Station down to city Hall C-train Station. Doesn't realize the Saddletown train goes from West Kerby station to city Hall station.
Idduno if it's just my gps or the bus is just not really on time always late way to go way to go..... You got a lazy drivers always late tsk tsk......HANDS DOWN TO YOU GUYS HANDS DOWN....
Garbage. Completely unreliable gps with vanishing buses and inaccurate times.
Half of the time it's a total crapshoot if it is nearby changes times for the buss very often
Not accurate, miss bus all the time.
Some time don't give me all the options
the buses never vome when they say they are going to always end up wait at least double what they say and missing buses all together
I would trust Google maps with their service more than their app.
Tastes like poo, looks like poo, and works like poo!
Member when this app used to show you useful data? Like where the bus actually was on the map? I member...
Like all of Calgary Transit this app sucks ass
App is never in sync with the busses. Uninstalling as I sit and wait anyway.
I actually find the times are accurate. Both for the multiple buses I take and the train.
+-10-20 minutes, sometimes more
It's great. It tells you how LATE your bus will be.
Essential if you regularly take transit in Calgary.

Phantom buses appear. Alarms for next bus arrival are a great idea, but don't work (aren't saved). Interface un-intuitive. Great when it works but needs refinement.
