About Fix Lollipop Memory Leak

--- This App requires the Xposed Framework! ---

This Xposed module will get rid of the infamous Memory Leak plaguing Android 5.0.x.
It ensures the ressources claimed by the so called ColorFade screen-on screen-off animation will be properly released.
This should help you to reach a higher uptime without the whole device slowing down after a couple hours.
While there are other memory leaks in Lollipop this seems to be the most severe one.
There's almost exclusively positive feedback on the XDA Support thread for this app!

It is completely free, doesn't require any permissions and is fully open source.

The module is for Android 5.0, 5.0.1 and 5.0.2, only.
Google fixed this particular memory leak in Android 5.1, thus the module disables itself when installed on 5.1.

If you have any issues or don't understand the purpose of this module please contact me first before leaving any bad review.

My keyboard was lagging and now all of a sudden it's working well. I've seen many people with this problem. I'll tell it to as much people as I can. Sell this to Google.

I've been searching far and wide for a solution. I rolled back to 4.4.4 to only be forced back into updating(I have no interest in rooting and voiding warranty). Thanks so much for this.

I have to say I'm very impressed, I use that app allcast to connect to my roku and after I updated to 5.0.2 my HTC one m8 was running so slow as soon as I installed this app my stream loaded like it was on steroids thanks a lot!!!

I'm blonde, I drink, and I can't even change a tire... So I assume I wouldn't be able to use this? I tried really hard to learn how to do this I bought a crappy Iscrewu tablet (irulu) just so I would have something cheap to learn to root Android cauliflower framework TWRP and Cincinnati WKRP type android stuff, & I just don't get it. It's all the jargon and lingo that I can't keep up with. It's always fifty four million steps that just run into each other in a spiral that makes me want to slit my wrists. Anyway that little tablet I mentioned... I killed it from the inside out literally, so is there an app, or a way this can just... Oh, Idk - Do it while I drink champagne heavily and complain??? Hmm? Answer that tough guy... U got a 5.0 fix for that? How about my life, is there a 5.0 fix for that?

This didn't work! My problem is exactly the same as before! My Nextbook ares 11 still crashes and still shows the "Aw Snap Something Went Wrong" message. The lollipop memory leak is as bad as ever!

So recently my Note 4 has been lagging and slowing down for no apparent reason. This app single handedly repaired it enough that I think I'll be okay until they eventually roll out either 5.1.1 or 6.0 to us.

This app works wonderfully, kudos to the maker! I just hope the battery draining issue, connected with 5.0, could also be resolved....please invent an app for battery draining issue as well (if that is possible)!

Well done, good sir! I am a developer as well, and while testing my yet to be released game, I noticed that if my phone had been on for a while, my game would get pretty sluggish and choppy. At first I thought I hadn't optimized my code, but then I found out about the memory leak issue for 5.0 through 5.0.2. I'm very happy to have found this solution, since I am using a Galaxy S4, and it's going to be forever before it gets its final update to 5.1. Now, everything is MUCH snappier. Thanks!

I don't see anything improved, system still take 1.3gb ram..apps 400-600.. Xposed installed properly.. Only 100 or less free memory.. Asus zenfone 2

I am not able to use this module because I am not able to install xposed framework. That is not the apps fault but the fault of touch wiz. I was hoping there would be a fix for the memory leak without using xposed for those of us who cannot install it. Hopefully the developer will read this and create a tool for those of us without xposed

I'd been having some issues with lag on my phone (2nd gen Moto G) for a while, particularly when opening apps or swapping between them (sometimes causing as much as 3-5 seconds of delay.) I'm usually adverse to installing unofficial fixes, but needing to reboot every day was getting too annoying so I found and downloaded this fix. I saw an immediate improvement, no lag or stuttering at all. Would recommend to anyone not on Android 5.1, and no tech savvy is needed.

The fact is that all to all people it seems like they're getting few hundreds of free ram because the phone is rebooting (this obviously frees the ram)
