Tile for Android
I really like it. I gave it only 4 Stars because I just wish it was a lil louder when looking for my keys. It's louder when locating my phone. Outside of that, I have been telling everyone about it everywhere I go, and giving demonstrations. I was in Target and talked a young lady into getting one. She said I need to be a Spokesperson for the Tile. She got the fancier one for her mother. I have already purchased 5.
Great idea when it actually connects. I've sent an email regarding this issue and have heard nothing back. And it now seems when I try to go to the page I need to send another email I keep getting a notice saying page doesn't exist. I'm starting to feel like a fool here as I bought 6 of them as gifts.
LMFAO, NON REPLACEABLE BATTERY. Effectively it's a disposable toy with built-in obsolescence or put another way, a scam. Got this as a gift and will try to return it and if I can't, one thing is for sure, I won't be back. Scummy companies like this are the reason we need "right to repair" laws for consumers and btw, NO, You don't need to glue devices like this or phone to give them their IP6# rating. Gluing devices is simply done for commercial reasons people.
Constantly reminds me to buy a new tile because the battery is "low" despite my having replaced it and it working fine. It only warns me my battery is low because of a preset time. I got it for christmas last year and exactly on christmas this year it warns me to replace it and will warn me again ever. 30. Days. In spite of it having a BRAND NEW BATTERY. In spite of this annoyance I will continue to use it.
EDIT: Confirmed, using high accuracy location services from morning at full battery gets me to 20% by evening. Normally evening at 80%. Not confident to give some Tiles to misses for Xmas, so wasted money. When using high power mode, Tile app still only pinpoints to 100m radius (which is good enough) because no GPS lock ever possible in home and shops, so really do need app to work with power saving location (cell, WiFi). Please sort this otherwise I've wasted money!
I like the concept of this device and app. But so far I've had one tile device that had an intermittent ringer. I replaced it with another one in so far so good. I also wish that there was more explanation about how I'm at work actually worked so that I understood why sometimes it took a while for its location update.
Got one for Christmas and it's working well. When I couldn't find my keys, I opened the app and walked through the house until it connected to my tile and set it ringing. Perfect for those of us who sometimes misplace our keys!
Only shows the location of your items if they are in the same house with you. Also the ringer is so quiet you'll never hear it when ur trying to find one of the items using the ring feature. Huge waste of money.
I have the newest phone around (Pixel 2) and the latest version of the Tile app, and I've only had the device itself for about 3 months. It never really connected very reliably from the start, and now it almost never connects, even up close. The Motorola version of this was one of the worst products I've ever bought. I had high hopes for Tile cuz I really need this functionality. But Tile is barely better than the Motorola version. And not only that, you can't replace the battery so it's junk after 1 year. That wouldn't be a deal breaker if the thing actually worked really well. But it absolutely doesn't. Super disappointing.
My pops and I have this. There's so many people/users around. I know if he drops something he will be able to locate even when he's home. As for me. I loose all my stuff in my house mess. Now I find it without tearing apart the HOUSE. So worth it.
I got a tile from work, although it is very useful for someone like myself who can never find anythibg, I am very disturbing it is designed to last one year and replace. This sounds extreamly wasteful...
I've had a love/hate relationship with tile. I know some of it was tile keeping up with Google software/hardware. It's finally working OK on my pixel XL 2. It's the best option but they could do better with their Google code.
Super useful, looking forward to more upgrades/improvements in capabilities. Definitely could be louder. Had some snags with set-up... clarity in directions could be improved. Overall, definite win.
I think it's great however would be better if a widget is included or a separate app developed for tizen os. It doesnt have functionality for the gear s3.
The App never connects to the tile. Useless. Would give it 0 stars if I could. I will never get this again.
constantly misplacing my keys. Now with the tile I find them each time. could do better with the map location and the difference between where your at and the tile locations
Why didn't I think of this... As a person that is always misplacing their keys or wallet, this is a great gift or purchase. Just wish that it was a little bit louder but overall a really good product I wish I would have thought of it LOL
Revised review, the app has greatly improved since my last review. It has greatly improved on both usability and connectivity. Despite the improved app I will not be replacing any of them this coming year. I'll be looking for a different brand. One died, can not just replace battery so I should buy a new one for the cost of a 50 cent battery? I don't think so.... Revised again: update to their software today. Out of 4 tiles, the tile app only finds one. All 4 are only 8 feet away sitting next to each other. No doubt I'm switching brands now. Devices that don't connect are worthless. 11 months and 4 say they need replacing, the 5th is dead. $100 to replace them? I don't think so.
Can't track anything outside 100ft. Sucks. Can't find my things. Waste of money
Does not work with the Google Pixel 2XL. Hard to get connected for the first time and once you can't find your keys, don't rely on you phone to connect to it.
The only thing that would make it better is if it was an actual GPS that doesn't disconnect 100 ft away from the phone. Really doesnt do me any good when the bluetooth disconnects and my dogs are who knows where.
Alarm is too quiet. I spent as much time circling to get in range as I would have just looking for my keys. Disappointing.
Product is very limited, should of read before I bought. Just a basic Bluetooth chip, only really helpful if you live in a messy pit and just chuck your keys anywhere, tile ring is far too quiet and takes a while to connect even when close. Not a reflection on this brand but all brands if these products. If you want a key finder, then get one that is GPS based not Bluetooth...mistake
Was given one for Xmas but useless as I don't keep Bluetooth on and hubby didn't realise battery would only last a year. Want to return it but don't know how to remove my phone connection.
Had high hopes for this but I'm very disappointed. The tiles are expensive and tracking is very poor. As I write this the tile that is on my keychain is 3 feet away and can't be located. Tile in my wallet, which is in my pocket can't be located
Constantly having difficulty connecting to tiles. Have to reboot phone to connect. This was a gift. If I had actually paid for it I would be trying to return it. I feel bad for my sister for wasting her money and I don't have the heart to tell her.
Bought the tile and it paid for itself within the hour. I left my wallet behind at the house I'm dog sitting for, 39 minutes away. Will be upgrading my single tile, to the whole tile family. App notified me when I was out of range from the tile. Great app and product. Thank you devs!
95% of the time the phone and tiles won't talk to each other. CS told me to try new Tiles. New tiles and a new phone, but the same problem. The phone won't ring the tiles and vice versa even when inches apart. HUGE waste of money.
Limited value. Tile sound is tiny, you must be very close by. The phone app must be always ON plus you must be close to phone for it to register ring. INSTRUCTIONS and HELP are poor, almost nonexistent.
The Android version on a Samsung g8 is not efficient at all, lag to find Tiles, lag to be useful really, it is a different story on iPhone 6, pretty efficient works well, not the case with a Samsung g8, the iPhone detect the tiles before. I do not even want to try it on another Android phone.
Terrible! tile wont connect have tried reinstalling creating new account etc but still wont work. Buyer beware
Haven't lost my keys since getting a tile from work. Waiting on a 4 pack to come in from Amazon for the rest of my family
Christmas present off the misses as I'm always misplacing my phone or losing my keys down the side of the sofa my only complaint is the location of my keys on the map is 100 percent accurate but it says my phone is on the next street around 400m away also would be nice to stop someone uninstalling the app if your phone is unlocked with me working with customers and on the move all day this would be important as I use my phone on every job for work
Couldn't find my keys after looking for ten minutes. Hit the button and I had them in ten seconds .
Cool and convenient.... love that it works both ways. I tend to lose my phone sometimes and fact that it rings even if phone is silent is the best feature!
I am using the tile device with my keys and love that I now never loose my ohone or my keys. Works great easy setup witg some simple customization features
For just having this a day it is awesome. But is the community that uses this app so huge I really can track my phone for miles away ?
This app is a true lifesaver! I look forward to buying many more tile tags! I would like to see a 10 pack of tiles. I would totally buy one!
I think it's AWESOME because even when my phone is on vibrate/silent it still rings out. Love it!

You have to keep location and Bluetooth on, but, has saved me time when I'm rushing out the door and can't find my keys or phone. I haven't had to use the location services yet, but I think it's great you can go on your profile anywhere and see where the last marker was. Best Christmas present ever.
