RICOH THETA S

This app has turned to garbage. It only connects to my phone if I restart my phone and then only takes one picture before the wifi disconnects. I know it's the app because Google maps will still connect

Connectivity problem and have to say that it's annoying as I can't change any settings, put timer, etc. without the app. It won't connect to the camera and totally useless. Please correct this as soon as possible!

Good app but serious connectivity issues. WiFi connects but app can't see camera. Apart from this, camera works well, but this is a very serious issue. Work around is to restart Android device. Ricoh do not seem very interested in fixing this.

App stinks... What a garbage.. Can't even open the app as it freezes.. That's on a s6 edge the thetha S

App is very unstable on Galaxy S8+. WiFi connection doesn't stay connected. Often locks up. Seriously considering dumping for a Samsung 360.

After the new update I have experienced flickering during the live view on my Samsung s7. This is happening with all 7 of my devices

Used to work fine and now is useless. Makes my theta unusable for professional work. Not cool Ricoh!

Serious power drain on battery. Constantly disconnects from the camera. Not a streamlined process.

No Connection.... connects then disconnects...freezing up.... flickering screen.... can transfer images.... I mean everything is wrong !! what is going on with the software? My camera is unusable!!

App freezes up and has connectivity issues. Takes forever to take a series of panos.

Suddenly awful - after last update, it won't connect to WiFi.

Works well with One Plus One 3T android 7.1 nougat and theta S on latest firmware. I had to desactivate Adguard ( adblock) to connect with camera on wifi.

Ricoh no longer support this apps. Can't use with my sc now. Android 7.

I've got the Theta SC. So I'm not particularly happy that some updates are only for the Theta S! The app is ok. It's not particularly quick (I'm using an S6 Edge so it's no slouch). The file system doesn't always work properly & some files you delete don't get deleted & you end up doing it multiple times so they'll be deleted. I find the app laggy but it eventually works. With nothing else on offer to use with the Theta SC, it's this app or nothing. Perhaps a dedicated app for the SC would be better?

This app constantly freezes with my theta s camera making it completely unuseable. It's a shame ricoh cannot rectify this issue especially that there is another app by 3rd party that does the job much better!

Rarely able to take photos from the app. Cannot view photos stored on the camera from the app at all. Using an S7. IOW basically useless to me. I use the camera by itself.

Are you serious? This is not a serious photography app. Most of your functions are only available though the AUTO mode?? What about Manual? What if I want to shoot a scene in 100iso in HDR? What if I want to bracket? What if I want a raw file? The is app is supposed to be the backbone of the camera and it's the worse thing I've ever seen in a long time and probably developed by someone who never used a camera in his life.

The app gives some nice features, but all of a sudden it stopped working with the gyroscope. I reinstalled it, but the issue got worse when all the photos from the app were gone (actual photos were still on the phone), but the thing is that I cannot import them back from the phone, only from the camera itself. After reinstall the gyroscope started to work, but my photos were gone and I can't put them back into the app - WTF????

Many have been waiting a long time for the multi-bracketing feature. It's finally included, however missing the one setting I needed, which is EV. I guess I can make do with the others, but it's going to involve a lot of trial and error during the shoot and will slow things down. Having `auto' on everything else other than EV was very useful when doing manual multi-bracketing. Also, many are still waiting for raw and an option to stitch images at a later time for rapid multi-bracketing shoots. Still love this camera. Keep the updates coming!

Not work properly ..!! If I have used it about 15-20 minutes in WiFi connection then this apps began going trouble, that means display in phone going black and the menu are not working after all. I have to reconnect the theta WiFi again & again but this black display trouble still going on. Please fix this trouble problem in your next update immediately ..!!

Updated: after enable both location and storage permissions under settings -> apps -> theta S -> permissions, it finally works. Original: On theta360 website, it shows that the basic app of theta SC is this app. But I check the details about the app, it is said that theta SC is not supported, and it shows that "cannot connect to the camera" and keep crashing after I installed. I failed to find another app from ricoh which support theta SC. Now I can just import photos via Google Street View app.

I had amazing photos and videos, I'm able to share somw pics om their website... but the videos it's just impossible. I dont have ams I don't want a Facebook account and with YouTube I just can't upload my videos, crash and crashing all Time. Really frustrating!

The app is great but a suggestion for a future update. The theta is great but at times even with self timer u just have no where to hide to get out the image.. Why dont you have a walk around mode takes a pic from 1 lense then u walk around and then a images is taken with the other lense then the camera stitches the image, now having that would make the app perfect... PLEASE ADD THIS FUNCTION

This app force closes every time I use it for longer than a couple of minutes. This has been the case for the entire several months I've used it, and I'm on a Nexus 6P, so there's no problem with the hardware. The developers really need to get their act together. This app is garbage, which makes me feel like I wasted money on the camera, itself.

Bought camera to add to collection connected theta sc to Sony z5 but will not connect to Internet After multiple times trying & I say multiple..will be returning due to What is the point if you cannot share your good work!!!!!!!!!!

Live view flickering since android 7 update on s7 edge. Would also be great to use 1 lense at a time to be able to hide in photo.

Missing deadly important feature: manually lock location. The intended flow: I mount the Theta, LOCK LOCATION, hide somewhere, press "capture". Currently I get the location of where I was hidden, not the actual camera one, which is sad if I'm shooting a streetview-like series in an area with poor satellite coverage.

The image rendering is did far but i should give it for more accurate color and temperature, some second party apps are much more accurate but take literal minutes to take the images and render. Need a better balance, I'm sure it will come with time.
