This app extends the functionality of the Therm-App™ line of imaging cameras by Opgal, and as such requires a separately purchased Therm-App™ camera in order to run.
NEW!: Release version of ThermAppPlus now supports a side-by-side 'stereo view for use with a VR headset, including support for bluetooth remote controllers. Also, the latest version supports the ability to add and customize palettes.
ThermAppPlus utilizes the SDK provided by Opgal and supports a variety of features, including multiple palettes and palette locking, several different display modes to assist in getting a sharp image, histogram equalization, background noise reduction, photo burst mode, emissivity, time lapse, hotspot detection with automatic triggering of sounds or recordings, bad pixel repair, and remote viewing via a local WiFi network - all in a simplified user interface.
The app can save camera output in several different image and video formats, including support for JPG, PNG, and TIFF. For video, the app supports recording in either standard MPEG4 or uncompressed AVI format. Alternatively, each frame can be saved to a separate image file that can be imported into other image analysis programs. The app can also save images and video directly to a writable SD card if your Android device supports it.

Note that while this app utilizes the SDK provided by Opgal, all questions and support issues should be directed to - and are the responsibility of - the app developer and not Opgal.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are running under Android 6.0 or later, you need to grant all requested permissions for the app to run, including the 'Allow ThermAppPlus to manage and make phone calls' permission. This last permission is NOT used by ThermAppPlus, but is required by the Therm-App SDK to read the Therm-App camera device id. Unfortunately, the camera cannot be accessed without granting this permission.

At first it seems simple, until you discover all the gestures that give you complete control over the thermal image. Really like the hot/cold arrows. Maybe at some point we could see overlay with the phone camera image (adjustable to match the zoom and position of Thermapp)

I am simply blown away. If you have a Therm-App and you did not buy this app. You are missing out BIG time!! The noise reduction feature alone is worth the $6.

If you have a Therm-App camera this app is a must have. It has several noise reduction techniques as well as manual temperature and color range control that the stock app doesn't provide. This app gives the power user a lot more to work with.

Had the Thermapp cam for more than a year. It's a great cam for the price but sucks the stock software. Until this ThermAppPlus, it makes the cam great again.

Hey, for some reason this app doesn't work on my LG V10. The message saying 'length = 13, index = 13' shows up on my screen if I try to connect the camera. The original thermapp app works fine. (solved - had to turn on the permissions in settings>apps. The app doesn't ask by default)

This is the best app for the therm-app device. Its a Brilliant improvement on the standard therm app program. The app allows for far better image quality as well as much more control over the general usage such as gestures which allow for better control over the thermal image. It also has a wider range of filters. I suspect that it is possible to adapt the software to change the frame rate even though the function is officially blocked. thank you and best regards. Andre

Well worth the $25.00 bounce bank fee. For $30.00 I'm very happy with this app. The bounce was 100% my fault, I'm just saying this app is awesome. One request, for the two arrows showing high and low temperature it would be great to have the highest arrow red and the lowest blue

I've had Therm-App for several months now, love it! bought your Plus, can definitely see an improvement over the generic free app! I have two questions. First off there are a few Photo format options one is a 8bit (low resolution) color photo (why no 16bit color?) and there several 16bit (higher resolution) gray-scale options, but it doesn't really say what the difference between them are? and the second is more of a request. any chance of adding an option to create your own gradient map or color scale?

A brilliant improvement on the stock Therm-App application. If you have a Therm-App thermal imager, just get this app. It adds manual controls, noise reduction and way more features.

I read lots of review before buying, but I don't see much benefit to this app vs the one from manufacture. I did lots of tests and comparison and I find that the manufacture's app sometime has clearer images. This app is best when using white hot and what I see if that the contrast isn't as strong when compared to manufacture app, so you get a bit more detail in the shadow/darker parts but then the lighter parts aren't as detailed. Maybe Opgal have updated their app and now it's a lot better, matching this app. Update to review: you need to calibrate the noise every time you launch the app. Then you get really good noise free images. Very impressive and sharp. Though the colour palette from Opgal look visually more interesting, the white hot on this app is much cleaner and detailed images. One annoying thing is that when recording to SD card, the app crashes. And another is that the recorded photos have a "recording" label on the bottom. If that can be fixed it would get 5 stars.
