OWL Intuition for Android
It's not very reliable as it crashes quite frequently and takes several attempts to get it working again. Don't waste your money!
Terrible app - does hardly anything compared to the web version. You're better off using the web version on your phone.
Would be good to be able to see the graphs you get on the website. The app drains power and my phone keeps warning me that in the background it is consuming 1% of battery per hour
First off, owl freezes up a lot. Second, it is not accurate with the meter reading on my meter box. It is hundreds of kwh less. I think it needs some serious help. I have done everything i can to make it work right. It has been frozen for five days now.
Great app, have been using it for over a year, for the hot water function. Only downside is that, once the Hot Water is in Away Mode, the app is not able to reset it. This can only be done via the website. Please fix this.
To see what energy you have been using at any level of detail you need to use the website. If you only have Owl electricity monitoring then app is not at all useful.
when I open the app always crashes and says report. I did but nothing happened. Then I click app again then app opens. Again sometimes a problem as none of the boxes are available for me to tick so I have to close and reopen the app. What a waste of time..once open normally I click and it works, however when system is running on comfort mode by itself I try to switch off as I didn't want it on at 5am but I can't switch off from app. So I have to go downstairs and switch off from control box.. arrgghh
it is ok doesn't give you all of the information but it does do plus and negative power some of them. Also you have to use the PC version a graph
The app may be great but it's useless because the owl system installed in my house is hopeless, my advice rip it out and get a loxone system that actually works
Well would have given 5* but it's struggling with nougat I think, you open it and says app has crashed reopen. Developers if you want any other data just contact me, cheers Matt
I can't change the app from sterling to euro even though my account is set to euro and the website displays euro fine
You promised ages ago to fix direction and colour of the arrows, nothing major, but....
Good app but graphs don't work on android version and it could really do with an update. It's looking a little dated.
Why wont it show my costs in australian dollars ? seems no way of changing this
Can not change from pounds to dollars
Keep a eye on the house..... while you are out.... in terms of energy usage..
Doesn't work
Better than the old app but why is there still NO WAY to set Heating Schedule? I'm sure this would be an easy addition as other heating system apps have this functionality. I'm less concerned about the graphs not being available through the app but this too should be easy to include.
Constantly crashes. Have to try 2/3 time each time I want to use it. Handy to have tho and good to have control over the heating when I'm not at home....stops the housemates having it on 24/7!
The app is good overall for the controlling side such as the heating. But when you view your daily numbers on the interface after you have logged in it's showing the wrong numbers it's like the wattage produced is not functioning anymore on the website and the app normally it should be in real time but nothing happens.
App works well controlling heating but sometimes crashes. Would be nice to have more functionality in the app like changing heating times and target temperatures (like the web interface)
Preferred the simplicity of the old app. This one crashes when I open it so you have to close and try again (then it works fine). Still can't see graphs or change schedules. Also, why on owl can I not key in a temperature manually?
To see what energy you have been using at any level of detail you need to use the website. If you only have Owl electricity monitoring then app is not at all useful.
Only used this on my solar pv system so far.. lacks some of the detail present in the ios version and the Web based system..
Not much point if I can't actually set my heating tines.
Would be nice if we can override the temperature via the app, rather than just boosting for an hour or whatever has been set using the website.
When Heating is in comfort mode using the app to move to standby does not work. Thermostat clicks twice but system stays in comfort mode.
Doesn't let me log in
Would be good of you could set your heating times from this.
Great ap if you want to compare your elect usage and your solar production. It is not so accurate when in low production but evens out over the day. The solar financials are quite accurate, if you take yiur time to set it up properly. Beware it counts all your electricity usage so is a bit misleading when you think your not using any it still reading
Moderate. App crashes on start up on galaxy s4. Also graphs do not show on same phone or on Note 10.1
Big improvement on old App. Multiple zones can now be controlled easily. All main controls are on App; comfort, boost, more hot water, away, standby. The interface is clear and easy to use for quick remote control. Still need to use web dashboard for all features such as calendar and graph's but I don't see this as a problem. Overall this system gives full control of heating to suit individual needs and in doing so saves energy and money, with added convenience of remote control from anywhere with Internet
Having reviewed the old version of the app badly for lack of functionality I can happily give 5 stars to this new version. This new version controls all the zones and is easy to navigate. The Owl system as a whole is superb and gives total control over my heating (2 zones) and hot water which I heat by oil boiler. Set it up to heat what you want when you want and it will look after itself. If you need to boost or turn it on /off you can do it from anywhere you can get internet. Highly recommend. :-)
Fails to log in despite working fine for 2 days. No means to resolve this ! No mechanism to rectify this! Otherwise was great when working. However direct customer support was great and got the issues ironed out.
Only just noticed the newer version. the app could do with an option to edit the timer, and max temperature, so you don't need to use the website. After all the idea of an app is to have everything in one place. Works fine tho
I use Owl to control my hot water and monitor electricity usage (and Nest to control my heating). Love the system which enables me to have complete control over my hot water. The new App is much better but I find taking the system out of Away mode very hit and miss on my Note Edge (mostly miss actually) and frequently have to use a Web browser instead. Not sure if it is an app or a phone problem but for me it means that the app is not the one stop shop solution that I expected.
Has more functions than old version. Sony z2. holiday dates don't appear to save. Every action has a number 2000969 over the tick box. Going back to the old version. Until functionality is improved. Poor attempt at an upgrade
Arrows to indicate trends on generation are reporting the opposite, still lacks full financial info and also reports system online irrespective of whether it is online or not
It's a handy ap but I don't fully understand the light bulb part. If that's what we're using from our panels why is there a cost? I tried looking on the website for clarification but there was none!

Great product have both display and network versions so can always see power consumption. Have added PV and even though not set up correctly can still work out whether import or export. New version (3.3) does not have option of $ rather than £ - can you fix?
