MobileNoter for Android
Zero functionality..... This is basically a program that does nothing but let you throw away money.
Great app, unless you update to onenote in office 2013. Doesn't sync. Can't get help from their website. Even the comments are closed. As for using the SE version, sorry I don't upload to the fog. They have been aware of this issue since at least 2012 and still no solution. A welcome addition would be the ability to add new pages. Is this asking too much? Come on guys, you were innovators. What's happened?
I followed instructions and had no problems with syncing my phone/NOOK with my PC, via USB cable (a.k.a. Wi-Fi Sync). While I can't create new pages, etc., my files are copied with perfect fidelity, which I can then edit. However, I do wish I could specify the directory to save my files, as mnt/sdcard is seen as internal memory, while mnt/ext_sdcard is my SD card directory loacation on my NOOK HD7, and internal storage space is very much at a premium. This said, even now, this was a $15 well-spent, as I still use OneNote 2007, and I prefer using OneNote for my notetaking needs. Special note: always make a habit of backing up your files, in case of mishaps. Not simply with this app, but with any apps that involve data you can't afford to lose.
I Hd been using in my lapee. Hope it works WD android.
If I make my mind I'm gonna make the best one note app and set it for free and open source. Please programmers stay alert and when I publish plz help me to make.
You can do more with this version. Much better!
The UI is good, but what the heck is that I can't open and sync against my already existent notebooks?! The whole idea of OneNote is that the notebooks are stored in Skydrive and I can sync against them from anywhere. The fact of having to create another account on a 3rd party server and create the notebooks apart from what I already have just doesn't make any sense at all. Concept is all wrong, guys, so change it so that we can work with our skydrive notebooks with Windows Live accounts, and I will happilly buy the app. Guess I'll have to go with OneNote Mobile for now.
Приложение виснет и падает.
how to sync with skydrive ?
GREAT APP...
Crashes.
Does not work. Wasted an hour trying to sync with the client.
Hmm good
The best
Will not sync
Sogood
It promises to sync with your SkyDrive but guess what? It doesn't! The only thing it can do is sync the notebooks in your PC to either 1. your mobile device using Wifi. or 2. the cloud which can later be synced separately to your mobile device but is extremely slow. If you are already paying for MS Office OneNote, what's the point in paying for another 3rd party app that can't even sync to your SkyDrive? What's more? It can't create new pages!! All it can do is (other than syncing) edit pages that already exists. I would have rated it 1 star had there been a OneNote app by MS like there is one for iPhones and iPads.
I mean, how can you have a note taking app that can't take notes?? How about a note taking app that locks you onto an obnoxious, obscene price structure that relies not on the proprietery platform (Skydrive) but some lame third-party cloud? And what's with this wifi sync?? It would be fine if you didn't have to enter an ip address. Seriously, this has got to be the worst app on the marketplace. Microsoft's own version is just as bad. Why can't someone get this right and build a great onenote apply??
This app is useless. If you want the remote chance of using it you will need to pay for the subscription even to view notes. All this version does is allow you to register for a trial, that again is extremely limited to the point of being useless. I didn't expect to beal able to do anything but view my documents, but this will not even allow you to do that unless you pay $14.99 to get started.
After 2 days of running sync, it finally finished and I got my notebook on mobilenoter. Then, when I try opening them, all but 1 page consistently force closes. I am very disappointed in this program. I am a pharmacy student and would greatly benefit from having my notes on hand during my internships.
WiFi syncs both ways, only takes a few seconds. This is a lot better the MS version. I'm able to get by with the this app most days, which means I don't need to carry the tablet anymore.
Edit to my previous review: It seems that the one time I got everything synced to my phone was a fluke. Every time I try now I get the 'all data unexpectedly dropped' message. Contacted support but going by other reviews it could take a while. My trial period is nearly over and I'm glad I didn't waste upwards of $7 for the full version if they can't even get the very first step right!
Hi, This app won't open only pages or sections unless u have created a "notebook aka NB" in the left hand pane in OneNote on PC/Mac and then u double click your .one file on PC/Mac to open the saved section in a NB. Once your .one section file is in a NB then this app will work. So if u save a page or section as .one and then expect this mobile app to act as a file handler (like Documents To Go) it will not. So open all your sections in 1 NB then drag to left NB pane now it syncs. Thx God bls Aaron
Microsoft couldn't get their own app to work on my phone, yet this does. Good job developer
This app has only worked about three weeks of the five months since purchasing it. It takes the service people days and even weeks to respond to issues and even longer to fix them. Aweful app!
There are many wonderful things about onenote: ease of taking notes, ease of organizing, and overall simplicity. The only thing this app has, that onenote has, is the ability to sync to the cloud. Editing is difficult, making lists or outlines is impossible, and new pages cannot be created! Overall, a bad app and not worth a penny. I don't understand what people find to be so attractive about this app...
For the full-version price the dev is asking, this free version (last updated 14 months ago, btw) is not a very convincing showcase of the app's abilities. Many complain about the price and the fact that one needs to purchase separate apps for tablet and phone. I say the price would be reasonable, but only if the following *BASIC* functionality issues are corrected in ALL versions: 1) 2013 support. No one wants to fool around with converting their stuff to 2010 format when they paid for 2013. 2) Syncing bugs and idiosyncrasies. Yeah, sorry, I know some of this might be user error or Microsoft error, but it's still the job of a good developer to set up the app so as to minimize these factors. 3) Better integration with other Android apps. Additionally, the phone UI could use a little more polish, but it's still pretty good. Better than the MS app, anyway. Here's hoping this guy or someone else steps up to either do it right or give him some competition. I wouldn't count on MS themselves to be serious about supporting the Android platform.
Two mths ago, I purchased a Wifi sync version for snyc it with Outlook OneNote. At that time, I reported a bug in the app to MobileNoter, they recognised the issue, and promise to fixed it. Until this wk, my Samsung Galaxy Note was reformatted by the service centre. So I reinstalled the app again and sync again. The old issue reported two months ago is still not solved. I was very upset that these guys don't bother to fix the problem. U paid for it and u got to bear with it. What kind of business is that? The issue is, the page title on the mobile is messing up.
Pretty lame I had to figure out that the "pair" doesn't work unless you press your menu button on your tablet. once paired... sure it syncs, but man... it is UGLY... this is one note, make it pretty will ya
There's a $15 charge for this service. One day surely someone will build a free app to do this, the MS one is also useless on phones.
crappy app, over priced with the worst customer service imaginable. don't waste your money.
I installed this last year while waiting for MS to develop an official OneNote app for Android. After a year of using this, I am very pleased with it. And I recently installed the new MS OneNote app to see how it compared. Honestly, MobileNoter is way better. MobileNoter actually does a better job of preserving the format of my notes as they are on my desktop computer. MobileNoter also supports all of my tags, which the MS app does not. And MobileNoter allows me to search my notes, again, which MS doe not. Thanks you devs for a great app. I'll stick with MobileNoter at least until MS can get it together to release a OneNote app that has all the features the MobileNoter app has.
I see great potential for this. I am not abe to get it to sync through wifi. BUT I would buy the professional version since I can sync with Dropbox if only you could create NEW pages and change the font size. The view is either very small or very large lettering. Please do not give up on this application, it just needs a few tweaks here and there and it would be fantastic. Please keep up the work and as soon as I can create and make changes like a real notebook, I will be buying.
Same page title prib as others. Also wont let me sync over multiple wifi, i.e. home and work. Dunno. Worked great on my iphone4. Fix me please! This app was my brain on my iphone. Thinking about a brain transplant.......
All Businessware Tech apps are obsolete, get Microsoft's free OneNote app. You already paid for MS Office, so use the free MS app instead. This MobileNoter app was useful before the MS app though. What has me moving to the MS app for good, is that I updated an entire page using MobileNoter. When I tried to WiFi sync with my PC, the PC based sync program was not running. So I tried sync a day later after a reboot and with the PC sync program running. THIS THING REMEMBERED THE PAST FAILURE AND DELETED ALL MY DEVICE NOTES, SO I LOST THAT ENTIRE PAGE OF CHANGES.
Requires subscription and pc installation.....No ability to open pre-existing notes. If they would allow you the ability to open local notes, and not require any kind of longterm relationship, it'd be well worth 5 bucks to me. What a shame.
I can not sync and/or open existing OneNote file without special mumbo-jumbo? Sync via WiFi or some cloud??? I hate clouds, since I can't control where my info goes. Forget it, it's useless.
The wifi sync is buggy and you can't create new note pages but the reason this is 5 stars it's that it's the best one note app out there and at least 5 stars better than MS. MS version doesn't allow search or drawing/handwriting or even let you see previous drawings. My advice is to use both apps until someone sorts out a better app.
Ya gotta be able to add a new note...
