Themis Bar Review

Everything Themis reps said about the app is a lie. Trash. This is just lecture videos and a couple of follow up questions. Wheres the full Flex Study resources? Outlines? Practice Exams? What are these quizes i have to "unlock" on mobile but can get to on the website. The app should be a streamlined versiom of the actual website, not a dumbed down version.

This app is the buggiest thing I've ever used. Close it for longer than 24 hours and you have to uninstall then reinstall in order to use it. Galaxy S7 Edge.

Works pretty damn well! noticed some complainers failed to learn how to Download outlines and view in pdf formart...... probably only a good app for smart people.

Very buggy, finally got it to work by clearing the app data in app settings. Breaks occasionally and have to do that again.

Can't get it to work on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge despite the program costing $2000.

This app used to have way more features and actually work. Now we can only watch lectures and it crashes all of the time. Has Themis contracted out this app development to a bunch of hacks who don't even know the meaning of beta testing? DON'T USE A BROKEN APP FOR BAR PREP

Cannot login

Constantly crashes, forces you to log in every time and doesn't save password/username, doesn't run in the background so if you're listening in the car you can't use GPS or other apps, and of course as many others have mentioned, you can't speed up video playback. Very surprising that the online test prep company can't make a decent app. Should be much higher priority.

The app closed unexpectedly and was very limited. The mobile website is easier, more reliable, and had more functionality.

Works well for me, but yes, the lack of 1.5x or 2x speed is highly annoying.

Easy interface and lots of great tools

I agree with many others that there should be the ability to speed up lectures to 1.5 or 2x and pause lectures without losing your place. Also, please add the functionality to take practice MBE questions on the app. Otherwise, this is a decent app and it is nice to get the videos on the go.

The automatic logout time is too short and having to re-enter my credentials repetitively is very frustrating. Practice MBE questions should be standard.

It does what it says it will do, so you have to give it praise for that. But at the same time, so much functionality is lacking. For an all-online course that's supposed to be better in tune with technology than other courses, it's weird to me that I can't read outlines or do practice MBE on the app. Please, please, please add more functionality and bring the app in line with the online suite of tools.

I don’t want to watch videos "on the go" because I like following along and filling out the lecture outlines. I would however do practice MBE questions and read outlines on this app. But, you can't do that with this app, so it doesn't help me.

Although the interface is terrible, that would be forgivable if this app actually worked, but sadly it does not. It does allow me to download course lectures to watch (download not stream, which is odd in this day in age), but it does not sync the quizzes I have taken between web browser and app. Worst of all it doesn't load my daily/weekly/monthly schedule at all. It would be better to not offer any app at all than to offer this piece of junk. If you want an app that works for bar review, look elsewhere.

PLEASE ADD OUTLINES, MORE THAN THE VIDEOS THE OUTLINES ARE BETTER TO READ AND REVIEW, ESPECIALLY ON THE GO. THE MORE YOU READ THE MORE YOU REMEMBER. PLEASE ADD THE OUTLINES!!!

Way too basic. It only offers video and summary questions. Need to expand so I can answer MBE questions on here, view outlines, etc. It's just seriously lacking in what a phone app would be used for...on the go, impromptu studying

Won't download. I keep getting error messages left and right. Ridiculous!

Very convenient for the lectures and assessments, but has a few really frustrating glitches. 1 - anytime I stop a video and close the app, the lecture restarts from the beginning. 2 - as someone else mentioned, it frequently logs me out and I have to re-enter my info despite checking "remember me"

Despite the fact that "remember me" box is checked, the app always makes me type my info to log back in no matter how recently I was logged in.

When the screen is locked the audio continues, but when I unlock the screen the video goes back to where it was when it locked. Also, it would be great if you could just download the mp3 versions of the lectures instead of the video. I believe this functionality is available on the iPhone app. Otherwise, this app is awesome!

Tech support fixed the video playback issue and the app works great now!!

This app serves its basic purpose. However, it has some quirks that I've found to be really annoying, at least when using on the Samsung Galaxy SIII. - Each time you start a new lecture the volume goes down to its minimum level, requiring you to increase the volume back to where you had it. - The videos will only play audio with a black screen. The files on my phone are mp4 files and play as videos in other apps. - When completing the questions after each lecture, you are unable to go back once you've answered a question. Also, to check correct answers, you can not go back to the question. You have to restart the lecture, fast forward to the end, and answer each of the questions (usually five to six) to review the questions. - Many times when I leave it running in the background and go back to it, it freezes and I have to restart the app from the beginning and try to find the place where I left off. - When I put the phone in standby mode and leave a lecture playing, when I press a button to take it out of standby, it often rewinds the lecture. - It will not run audio in the background (like Google Music Player) to allow you to use other apps.

I was excited to learn that Themis offered an app for on the go study, but disappointed to learn that it did not include outlines. I prefer watching lectures and doing practice MBEs on a larger screen, and had hoped to use this app while out of the house when I had time to read (for example, at jury duty or the auto shop).

Great app for a great program.
