WoodenMan - Drawing Mannequin for Android
Just like everyone that reviews it, it is hard to maneuver and if you wanted a specific angle to draw, its difficult/impossible to get to that angle because of how limited the program is, hope they fix these issues.
The app is okay overall but using your finger isn't best. You will need a stylus for best results. Zoom will be great and up and down rotation will help too. Also, I can view my save. The app will force close. I can see preset poses but not my own.
I love the idea, and it is useful once you figure out how to use it, but it is difficult to learn at first. Also, I can't access any of the other users poses (it says it can't download them any time I tap on one.) And now any time I tap on my own poses it closes the app. If these issues were fixed it would be a great app. Very useful.
It's a little bit difficult to work with, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty simple. One thing that bothers me is that the app crashes ever time I try to open one of my saved poses. It would be amazing if that problem were to be fixed. Other than that, this app is amazing for all of your art purposes.
Cool concept, great pose library, mediocre editor. One simple change would take this all the way to five stars: the possibility to rotate all around the doll, not just horizontal, and rotating by dragging outside of the doll. If this was changed, I would love it so much.
Really glitchy, hate it. If ur reading this don't download this crap
It keeps crashing when I try to view saved poses. Also, would be nice being able to see the doll from different angles, like from above or below.
i like it, you can use the existing poses or move the dummy to create new ones and share them. quite difficult to move, but it can't be avoided i guess
This app is really good but somethings are very buggy. When wanting to see my other poses it won't show me and sometimes the movement is very rough and hard to get it to the position I want it. I feel like you should make it more easy to use since the small joints and parts are very hard to grasp. Overall it's a great app but it would be better if it was a bit more easy. Thank you
I had saved a pose earlier today, everything was fine and I could open it then. As soon as I come on later to open the saved pose again, the app starts crashing.
I love this app! Posing is tough for me and this app comes in handy. I can create my own poses as well as use poses created by other users! ^_^ I would definitely reccomend this app to people who are beginning to draw! The actual posing of the wooden figure may be a little tough but I quickly got the hang of it! Big thanks to the creators - you did an awesome job!
Its rather difficult to make a pose and I think it would be better if we could look from the bottom and the top
I love how easy it is for me to use and the fact that I can use my stylus with it is a plus. I would only request that you add the ability to tilt the camera up and/or down (while still fixated on the mannequin, of course) so that it's easier to draw such angles and views for a more dynamic scene.
A bit tricky to use but it's fine if you don't want to buy yourself a real wooden mannequin. My only suggestion would be to add a rotate button from top to bottom. It would make it more versatile and useful.
Oh I love this app! the only things I wish were in the app, is a zoom function, it's very annoying tbh.. other than that, I love this app!
I'd say that this is far below my expectations for an app of this sorts. The proportions of the body were very much incorrect (thick neck, no chin, small thighs and upper arms, etc...). No body shapes other than a bulky hourglass were provided (The real reason I downloaded this was to learn body shapes and poses). And, finally, the sensitivity on the limbs was shocking. For me, it either mover much too slow or much too fast, and, either way, the limbs would fold into the body, not taking any kind of hitbox into consideration. Over all, this left me, as a consumer of the product, wanting much more and feeling very dissatisfied. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
It was really helpful and easy to use until I found out none of my saved poses load in and instead the app shuts down and brings me back to my homescreen
Helps me see complicated poses from different angles. Easy to use. Like posing a doll. Really helpful. Will be a useful tool for reference drawing.
Poses are hard to create, limbs either move when you dont want them too or dont move when you do. Also saved poses wouldnt load when I came back to the app
For some reason when I try to turn the arms or legs at the joints they get stuck and I can't bend or adjust them anymore. Please fix this. I'm on a Samsung s7 edge.
Love this application. It saves time for when I am thinking of a pose xD. It is nice that I can finally just make my drawn person not too flexible. Well, kinda hard to explain actually. But on the other side, It is kinda confusing to get the pose you desire. It could have been a better idea to add a zooming option. So then we can add a few adjustments or whatever lol. It just needs some improvements. That is all.
This is perfect for anybody learning how yo draw the human figure in different positions,or just learning how to shade in the right places. It is very hard to get use to though!!keep that in mind. Then for animation artist drawing action pics... FORRGET ABOUT IT!!HAAH!! This is awesome.don't forget there's a bunch of preposed options too! Thanks guys!

The app displays an advertising banner at the top of the screen. (Not shown on screenshots here.)
Great app! Easy to drag the limbs and joints and all, though I suggest making the joints a bit bigger...? Also, the head, when I draw out poses, I'm not exactly sure how to draw the head out, so if you can make the wooden head a bit more human-like that would be great.,:) Nice app!
I really like this app. I use it as a reference for positions when drawing, but it can deal with some improvement on making our own positions. Its kind of rough and hard to move the portions.
i like it, you can use the existing poses or move the dummy to create new ones and share them. quite difficult to move, but it can't be avoided i guess
I wish it were rotatable in all directions, not just horizontally. Also, trying to load my own saved poses crashes the app.
I use this ALOT for drawing, and im just 13 yrs old. I draw alot and my arts teacher is always impressed of my art! Great app!
Every time i try to open it now, it immediately crashes :/ two stars only because, from what i saw, and from the sheer lack of anything similar in the play store (that i can find) i think it had some great potential. Will wait a little and edit review if update becomes available
This is exactly what I've been looking for! Simple, easy to use and so much easier than tossing my little brother off the roof when I need to animate a guy falling from a cliff.
It would better to use a reel wood model you can by it at machles and half price books
Cool app but could you add a feature that when you tap on the part that you wanted to move, you can tap anywhere then drag it to set it to the desired position.I think adding that option would make it much easier for people with small screens to adjust the position.

Does everything I wanted. Just wish it didn't deselect so easily when trying to rotate specific limbs
Considering it's one of very few app that let you pose the figure, I'd say it's pretty good. Its not as difficult to get the hang of like some of other apps and the movement are fairly accurate. One of the features I would like to see is the ability to zoom in.
I give you five... because this app help me to drawing human poses. Honestly I want to buy the woodman figure for learn my drawing skill... but with this app I can save my money LOL... thankyou very much
Can be unresponsive, you cannot zoom in. A little more work is needed.

I would rate this a five aside from a few issues I have with it hopefully the designers can work on these. First off the feet, hands, and joints are hard to select I recommend a zoom option to make them bigger and easier to select. Secondly the feet, head and hands suddenly shoot off in a direction you don't want them to go thus you spend more time trying to fix it. Third when I try to move the mannequin itself through moving the abs the head is selected and stares at its belly button. Great app overall
