Waypoint is a waypoint manager that allows you to save and manage waypoints. Waypoints can be plotted on a map to access information about the waypoint or viewed in Google Maps to access directions, streetviews, or topographical map data if available.
Waypoint allows you to easily organize your location data by creating categories which specify the type of location data being stored. Three types of location data are supported, Waypoints, Routes, and Tracks. The type of location data choosen for each category will determine how the data is mapped and exported using the export to GPX feature.
Categories can be used to store your favorite fishing, boating, hunting, parking, or any other kind of location data you can think of.
Categories and Waypoints are all fully manageable: Create, Rename, Move waypoints between categories, and Delete.
Waypoint can also notify you when you are within a certain distance of your waypoint by enabling the Proximity Alert feature. With the proximity alert enabled you will receive a system notification indicating your are within the set proximity of your waypoint. This feature can be set in the Edit Notifications menu item.
Want to share your location with other friends or send your friends your Waypoints? Use the Share Location and Share Waypoint feature to easily email, SMS, Facebook, Twitter, etc. your locations to your friends. This feature is only available in Waypoint Pro.

The Radar feature always relied on sample application provided by Google. This application was removed from Google Play which caused new install to not be able to find the application. I have now released the Open Source Radar application under my account.

Take a few minutes to figure it out - and even the free app is great. The map is lurking in the radar section IIRFC, once you can plot your waypoint on a map you're golden. My requirement was to mark a spot so I could find it back again including a spot on the lake. Google Maps always wants to associate a street address with a location, so it's not good. This app WILL do this. I did note a bug the first time I used it, it was complaining the coordinates were required when I marked a spot, even though the coordinate values were already populated by the phones GPS. Issue went away with 2nd waypoint though, np. You could also use this for finding your car, if you're like me....

I went hunting and set a waypoint for my vehicle I was half a mile away and I turned it on to see which direction I needed to go and it said I was 30 miles away and needed to turn around. Deleting this app

Great app for scouting and you can't beat it that it's free compared to others. Comes in handy when in the woods ! People need to give this app better ratings unless you don't know how to use it or your cell is old and can't download it properly then get an upgrade. Cheap scapes .

I’m a long time GPS user and present workshops on backcountry navigation. This app is an excellent waypoint management tool. Anyone familiar with GPS navigation should find the UI of this app intuitive. I will install the pro version once I’m sure this app plays nicely on my device. So far, looking good.

Ultimately I had to use a different program that uses UTM coordinates as well. The import/export feature of waypoints would have swayed me otherwise.

Great application! I agree with other users it deserves a better rating than what some people are giving in the user reviews. I've had no problems on the HTC Rezound but have noticed with other applications using the GPS device that good satellite accuracy translates into acceptable operation and poor GPS device satellite accuracy into poor operation. The fact this application is totally free should never have obtained a rating less than 3. What a shame! The rating system provided by Google Play Store is really unfair to software developers and I believe doesn't provide adequate reconciliation or remedy of unwarranted grades.

I could have been horse food if I hadn't been for this app! I got totally lost in the new forest and successfully used the app and the radar to get me back to my car. My only advice is turn it on when you first think you're "a bit lost" don't wait till the girlfriend starts shouting at you..... Finding out the car is 3 miles away in the opposite direction to you have been walking for the last 50 minutes never goes down well. The app works really well, the radar was easy to follow and very accurate.

This app coupled with the Radar app is a great way to find a GPS location. If you are doing a treasure hunt, or just looking for your weather balloon, this is awesome!

I'm not sure about the computer guy's comments that this app is complicated? I think it's probably the user not the app. This app does what it says, and it's free so quit being a girl. I have an ms in gis and this app gets five stars from me. Good job.
