TheBrain for Android
Is nice. I recommend
Finally. A handy brain. Can I save the data to my sd card? Or does the brain just get saved in the cloud. I can see myself spending alot of time with this app. Bravo. Keep the improvements coming! Would be nice to be able to pull away children and parents from three nodes she as in the desktop app.
Just finished about 30 min of work. Left the app, then came back to finish it, and my work was gone. This program is $299 plus an annual maintenance fee of $159. Not acceptable.
Functionally works as the app Mindly does, but this one takes much longer to create "thoughts". It's frustrating that the app cannot input thoughts quickly as any other app would, but on average takes 5 seconds to create each child idea; unacceptable when trying to get many thoughts out before they are lost forever. It's not my phone either, I just got a s7 edge that does not lag on any application. If the thoughts would load quick, perhaps it would be usable; this is the direction the devs should be looking toward.
An amazing concept though mediocre implementation. I couldn't even find a way to add/remove/edit links between nodes in the mobile version so it is of little use. Also the subscription is a way too expensive.
Was 4 stars, but it locked up within a week. The app refused to accept even my email address until I un/reinstalled. The UI is horribly small, the features are forever changing, and my data is continually eroding. I love the concept and this is just what I needed for brainstorming, studying and organizing a variety of topics that interest me, but I can just as easily go back to paper. The app store leads you to believe this is a free mobile version instead of a timed trial of the full version. I'd keep it if not for the mislead and the afore mentioned connection problems.
Useless for TheBrain users. Does not synch with current Brains in your account will only allow for making new Brains. The entire reason I paid for the subscription is to have access to my Brain Info on the go. This App is a total fraud as is the subscription model of this company. I have been a user of TheBrain since about 3.0 and Love my Brain, but the additional costs of upgrading since 6.0 have seemed to be money down the drain.
I don't waste my time with trial apps. Free with upgrade options are the only apps I will take the time to explore

If you change this option let me know and I'll try your app out!
Can't understand what is it...what is its use....
I love the brain but I cant say the same thing for the brain android app. I appreciate the effort the devs are putting in but unless you are going to perform a complete overhaul of the app and its functionality you are going to loose a big portion of your customers . The currentl world is constantly on the move and this app is not. Its not possible to do some of the tasks quick and easy. Its just useless to me and for someone who is paying a lot of money for the brain app i find the this not very good. Look at trello for example they have a free web and android app that works fantastic . I am aware that the different products but please hear your customers and improve the android app .. please :)
I have been a user of the brain for so long I was excited to get it on my mobile device where it is most relevant. To my surprise a session was interrupted when I lost data conectivity. Deal killer IMO.
I do not often have Internet access. When the Android version no longer requires an online connection, I'll be very happy to install it. Until then it it useless to me.
In this Android version you are really missing a lot of the freedom you have in the desktop version, like zooming in/out, dragging to arrange the thoughts and many more things. I think that you have less options than with other mindmap tools. Only good thing is that you can open the same mindmap on different devices. It might be that people will use tneir desktop as the main editing tool and just view it on the Android or do some simple editing. But as said, I am not impressed and probably uninstall it.
95% but only 1 star as missing feature is so important and should be easy enough to implement. You can't add a tag or a thought type to thoughts. Which means if you have a thought and add it in android you have to remember to add it's type and tags when you get back to desktop. Defeats the purpose of getting thought out of your head. 5 stars when this is implemented.
At first I was disappointed as there are so many features that this app is missing... however as a mobile companion to the desktop app this does a decent job.
Let me preface this by saying I am a daily user of TheBrain for PC. I love, love, love this program. I had such high hopes for using this on my tablet, and I am sorely dissapointed. This app was last updated Aug. 18, 2014. Much of the functionality and UI that I am used to on a PC has been scaled down and/or is completley removed. The use of this on my tablet is cumbersome and unfriendly. I can't open this offiline and after I enter information it force closes on me. I can't drag to create children, jumps, etc. If I attach a photo it is just a thumnail the size of my sd card. The list goes on and on...This has led me to searching for alternatives that are much more user frienldy. To the developers, Please take some time to update this to be more like your PC version and show us devoted "TheBrain" users some love.
App is okay, but not very usable for quickly capturing thoughts on the go: takes too many touches. Was hoping to replace Evernote w/TB, but too inconvenient. E.g., in EN, I can touch screen 3 times create and save a note: 1) open EN 2) Start TTS microphone from keyboard 3) Save. Or I can just use Google Voice: "Note to self, check with Daniels about autumn project"--this saves note in EN (or onenote or...); however, TB is not presented as a choice for saving notes in this manner, which I often use. Finally, in EN, at the cost of a few more touches, I can also tag notes. No tagging option in TB for Android. Hoping features like these come along soon... But I see there have been no updates for the last couple years, so perhaps development has stopped?
Worked great for a while, now it doesn't work anymore on my note4.
The main problem is it requires me to be on line in order to use it. What to do when you need save the ideas while traveling without any connection?
I use TheBrain for ages (about 15 years) but this is the first time I try it on Android. Honestly, it sucks. Poorly implemented design, very slow, internet dependent, not intuitive. I do hope you keep working on the app and I do plan to try again in the future. For now, it's been deleted.
Hasn't been touched in over 2 years. Still a worthless app. The only reason it exists was to shut people up about wanting it.
Looks like any other mind mapping tool yet needs data connection to do anything.
Very nice mind mapping software with advanced options notes and photos, nice visual elements, is slow somehow, and is having problems with Arabic special in notes
I have been waiting for this a long time.
Maybe I'm asking for a lot, but I can't open my brain files from Dropbox or at least I didn't find a way.
Just the best thing that you can install on your phone.
So far, so good!!
I like the Brain's concept, but found 2 difficulties with it. On my smartphone screen child topics were displayed so close to each other that it was hard to select the topic of interest (better would be either to separate topics more - possibly configurably - or have a zoom function). The other problem is that it would not operate without internet connection, lacking an offline mode (my ideal is that being on- or offline be seamless)
First issues I noticed. The initial screen allows you only to create a new brain and not load a previous one. You can do that only afterwards. When I synced my brain with that on my computer I found two nodes with the same parent and the same name. That is probably because I of conflicts between computer and online version of my brain, but I hope I can resolve it.
I really think it is crappie to get apps that really could help only to be jerled around by this type of s&^#t.

Can't find link to full version, so I can add docs, web links etc. Can only add images.
Update:Suddenly started to work on Android 6.0....Did everything it should very nicely. Stopped working with Android 6.0
The best information manager for quick entry, quick organization of information, and quick retrieval.
Thank the almighty who gave you the power to make this app. ;-)

Version 8 was good. And I liked the cross-platform capability. However, all of our computers run Linux, for which there is no ver.9. Now nothing syncs with the app. Certainly not switching oses just for The Brain! Be nice if had capability to go back to 8 on Android.
