AZ Today for Android
Each episode requires a huge download and the content you get is nothing more than some photos and a bit of text. It's like a really slow way to browse what could be a fast web page. Some content is iOS only but from what I have seen I'm not missing much there. The size of the download alone drops it to three stars. Then they get another star knocked off for the iOS only features.
How can a business launch something like this? It won't even open without crashing. The content is completely inaccessible. Edit: Thanks for the reply. I will definitely try again.
This app has a Lot of potential, but that potential is quickly overshadowed by its shortcomings. In all fairness, I will first list what they got right. Great photography, clear images that load relatively quickly. Table of contents images and text link directly to articles and it works smoothly (nice job).Press an image or the text next to it and it take you directly to that article. Some articles are displayed in a magazine format, the background and text both scroll down when swiping the screen. Where they have yet to succeed: What genius thought it would be a bright idea to release an Android app with several items including "puzzles", "comics", and the "weather" pages that are updated daily --yet only for "IOS devices"? That is rather insulting to the Android community. It screams 'we gotta make the deadline whether it works or not'. Poor decision to release with this limitation. Some of the articles with text inserts scroll within the same page, The background image remains in place, and you need to scroll up and down within a window. This makes for difficult reading and seems inconsistant. Mini table of contents are slow to load and bland.
