Superb app, easy to use, like the way it automatically offers a list of nearby pubs

If the AA says it's a good pub, it's a good pub. Discovered some amazing food and drinks with this app.

Don't waste your time installing this app .

I have the book from 2013 and it has helped me find many a good pub. To publish the same content in a free app is commendable. It doesn't review every pub just the AAs view of the good ones. I have found that the good beer guide tells me about pubs serving good beer not about good pubs. I want to drink and eat in a good pub. The app is not attractive but it is functional. Thanks AA.

Still not reinstated the map feature so you can't tell what's around you despite an email in 2012 to me saying they were working on it! The 'current location' doesn't work at all if there are no listed pubs nearby - instead of showing pubs and longer distances which would be logical. Same for towns where there are no pubs - it just doesn't respond instead of giving other towns nearby. Such a contrast with the book which is really good. Useless app. Giving up on it.

Excellent descriptions of pubs and details of food and beer on offer. Works even if there's no internet connection, apart from the pictures of the pubs, unless they're already in memory on your phone.

Downloaded what I thought might be a very useful app, only to be presented with a screen to fill in all your personal details. Not only your e-mail address but your telephone number. Who and what are you doing with this AA? Don't waste your time on this.

Why do none of the AA apps work on my Nexus 7, all giving same error message and it's not the device as everything else is fine and have Norton

You need to fill in your details which will be used to send spamverts to you before you can use the app.

Uninstalled does not work on Samsung S4

App cannot be used till you complete a personal details form which will no doubt lead to user being bombarded with junk mail, spam and phone calls. Instantly uninstalled.

Just wish you could filter results.

None of the local pubs I like are listed.

Rubbish - missed my local and dozens in the nearest 3 towns.

Half-a-dozen local pubs are not included. You'd get on better by walking around than using this app, and there isn't much qualitative information. It reads like the pubs have contributed their own reviews - I wonder if they paid for the privilege?

Last years app allowed me to search for an area and then see all the pubs in that area on a map. 2013's update had that facility removed - shame. Please bring that back, then you can have your 5th star back.

Nearest pub is 0.3 mile away, with another 4 within 3 miles. The app states nearest is 9 miles away! Rubbish.

You have to accept that they can spam you with not only AA stuff, but also "selected third party" stpuff. SPAM SPAM SPAM

Doesn't recognise Bradford, WY as a location. Enter Leeds and it lists one pub in Bradford.

As seen in other reviews the coverage is poor. Searched for Stirling and the nearest pub is 8 miles away.

Searched for Hertford a town with many pubs. Nearest listed was 3 miles away.

Im givin this 4 stars because its a FREE app. You dont need to give your details if you dont want..........just skip it. Just give it a go. What do you expect for free??

Needs search nearby using GPS and or network based location and how much to expect to pay for a main course. Fix these and ill give it 5 stars. (:

No scrolling so you can see the information? It may be free but it's overpriced.

Informative but poor interface and a lot of local pubs missing we've probably got at least 20 near by within a few miles and the first one listed is 10 miles away so im sure you must have to pay a price to be listed. May as well just search for "pub" on google maps for free

Always used the book but last app was a bit rubbish. Much better since update but still unable to show nearest pubs using the GPS is a bit of a let down. Also still some ommissions too.

Drink in these recommendations? I don't fink so! Must cost a fortune to get a pub listed in this misguide. Uninstalled pdq.

In my local area they're not the typical Good Beer Guide type pubs, nor the really foody ones. Just the ones that pay? To be fair, there don't seem to be any I'd avoid, so it may be of use when we're in other parts of the country.

Not bad for a fee app, and I found a great pub when travelling with it. Filtering using food seems to eliminate most food pubs! Still good though needs more entries.

Total pish. I've got a few decent pubs around me that don't even show up, the kingfisher , my local is more than 30 years old . It ain't showing up.

Tried Skipton in this and not a single pub came up for the town center, out of 14, some of which are amongst the finest public houses going!

expected better. According to current location my local is nearly 20 miles away and in another county!!
