We created Tharanga Media, an Internet-based social network for people of Indian-origin, to provide them the ability to connect, communicate, inform, educate, discover, entertain, and share with others; and enable them to accomplish the said objectives in all Indian languages including English and in all media formats including audio, video, text, pictures, and animation.
Our social purpose is to allow users to create and share content that appeals to the intellect, imbibes a sense of belonging, creates unique cultural identity and develops community pride among the users, while at the same time respecting other cultures and languages. We encourage accomplished people who have a passion to share their knowledge and wisdom with the public while we act as a medium in their outreach pursuits.
We provide technology solutions to business entities or individuals who may want to create their own social media networks; and to enable businesses to reach users of our social network and those created using our technology platform, via advertisements and sponsorships.

I started using Thanranga for LG Nexus 4 Android version 4.2.1. I am on T Mobile network. Most of the times Streaming is good. But streaming drops some times even when I am on wifi. The streaming stops when I recieve/making a call but it wont catch up streaming again after I hangup the call like other apps. I need to start the streaming again manually.Streaming has to be improved. So I am giving only 3.

Tharanga on LG Nexus 4 I was using Tharanga app from a while on iPhone and Andriod Atrix 2. Recently upgraded phone to Google LG Nexus 4 and i have issues with application on Nexus 4. When i click on play, I get below message. "Could not connect with Audio stream " Station offline/Bad Stream, Try later! I have to change streaming back & forth, close application & reopen. Its luck luck sometimes it streams & some times it won't. Is there any solution for this. Network: AT&T Phone: Google LG Nexus 4 Android version: 4.2.1 I can give 5, but have to keep low as I'm not having nice experience on my Nexu4 phone.

On my nexus s running ICS the playback stops while checking notifications. This is very annoying while using Google navigation as switching between the two is just impossible. Also playback stutters and there is a constant buzzing in the background. I listen to the stream on other radio apps and do not experience the above issues. Also the exit button does not quit the app right away. Have to press it multiple times to quit the app.
