About TFRunAnalysis
TFRunAnalysis application (Part of TF Series) provides performance analysis or prediction capabilities for Track and Field run and relay events. Application also provides estimates of athlete fitness level for specific events and reference training data to improve fitness. It is compatible with and follows guidelines from USA Track & Field Coaching Manual.
Aerobic Profile data is compatible with Jack Daniels Running Formula. It can be used as a Personal Training aid.
Sprint Time selection uses supplied athlete data and specified Run Distance times for calculations. Calculated values include 100 Meter Run Time, Max Run Rate, Run Time Constant, Forward Start Force, Run Velocity, Run Acceleration, and Run Steps.
Run Time selection also uses athlete supplied data and specified Run Distance, Max Run Rate, and Run Time Constant values for calculations. Calculated values include Run Time, Forward Start Force, Run Velocity, Run Acceleration, and Run Steps. Sprint Time Max Run Rate and Run Time Constant values can be used for Run Time selection input values. Specific values can be used to estimate strength levels required.
Depending upon user selection, Energy System(s) trained and calculated intensity level are included. These values are used to verify that the energy system(s) trained at the correct intensity level.
Aerobic Profile reference data includes calculation of Run Velocity at VO2MaxRate, and intensity level at selected Run Distance and Run Velocity. Calculations use selected Run Distance and Run Time.
Run Velocity at VO2MaxRate provides a reference pace for Interval Training to improve Aerobic Power by increasing oxygen consumption. Reference intensity level for Steady Pace or Aerobic Threshold Training at estimated Blood Lactate Threshold is used to develop Strength and Endurance.
Level of Intensity can also be used to estimate athlete fitness for specific events. Aerobic Profile data can be used for Repetition Training to develop Speed and improve Running Economy.
Aerobic Profile data is first calculated based on best effort at selected distance. Aerobic Profile data is then calculated for other distances and velocities from supplied data. Other calculated values include Run Time, Run Pace, VO2MaxRate, VO2MaxPct, and Calories Burnt.
If selected distance is other than 1600 Meters (or 1 Mile), VO2MaxRate at the selected distance and best effort VO2MaxPct at 1600 Meters (or 1 Mile) can be used to estimate 1600 Meters (or 1 Mile) best effort.
Lactate Threshold can be estimated using Intensity Level or VO2MaxPct values (such as 90 Percent) at specific speeds. Corresponding Heart Rate values can be estimated by multiplying athletes Maximum Heart Rate by Percent of Intensity Level at the specific speeds.
Application can also be used to fine-tune or optimally balance the aerobic and anaerobic energy systems using measured Blood Lactate values at specific speeds. These Lactate values can be associated with VO2MaxPct values and running economy.
Application also provides estimates of changes to athlete Maximum Run Velocity for specified environmental conditions. Input parameters include Selected Velocity and Athlete Weight.
Adjustable environmental parameters include Parallel Wind Velocity, Temperature, Barometric Pressure, Altitude, and Relative Humidity.
Results include Modified Velocity, typical 100 Meter Time, and Air Density. Modified Velocity can be used as a Run Time selection input.
Application uses supplied athlete measurements to calculate Start block settings. Start Block Settings provides a foundation for a good race start. Values for each athlete can be edited and saved.
Relay race selections provided: 4X100, 4X200, 4X400, 4X800, 4X1500, 1600 Medley, and 4000 Medley.
Email, print (with compatible device), or retrieval (with additional software) of results is also provided. Several additional software (such as Google Drive, etc.) are readily available.
